I always tell my wife that Long Island is known to me for their Bagels, Pizza, and Diners. This place definitely keeps that mystique going, the Bagels are quite possibly the best that we have ever had. I added a side of whitefish spread, holy smokes was that good! The line when we left was out the door, the Bagel Gourment is definitely a must visit if your in the area.

Came in to place a big order before an office outing, apparently thats annoying??? No one else was in the place and it appeared ordering bagels with cream cheese was an inconvenience at a bagel joint! Who would have thought?! The woman taking the order kept looking back and snickering with the younger girl who also worked there every time I added another bagel to the order. Maybe the owner should know what an inconvenience making money is! Shes lucky I had somewhere to go or I would have left all the bagels on the counter and told her to go scratch. Now I get why the bagel boss guy went crazy! This lady should work somewhere else if shes miserable taking orders. Wont be coming back.

The Bagels are 5 stars plus!!!!! It’s the only reason I brave “the process” week after week. The wait is an easy twenty minutes, even longer during prime times. Most times when I wait I observe AT LEAST 3 people who walk away because of the line. From my observations the conservative average each person seems to spend is $20. So if 9 people walk away every hour they are losing $180 an hour minimum. They need more people working there. It’s crazy. Most days despite having ten people behind the counter there is only one person servicing the line which can be out the door and down the block. I wish the bagels sucked because then I’d never go back. I wish I knew how to make the bagels because I’d have a gold mine. Too bad.

Great bagels but easily the most miserable group of people ive ever encountered in one place. Its sort of amazing that they all found each other. There will be more people behind the counter than in line and you will still wait 20 minutes. Bagels are good.

This place has the best bagels…i wish i could say that they have the best staff…they think they are doing you a favor serving you…they constantly make mistakes…their prices are very expensive and the sandwich’s are thin thats why they always have a sign hiring cause they only hire nasty people

This is down the block and it’s very convenient but I never come here. The staff is HORRIBLE. Most of them are very nasty. There is NO system. No matter if you order for pick up or a walk in. You will have to wait for at least 20 mins. For example, I called in an order today, and was told I didn’t have to wait on the line to go around and someone would help me. There wasn’t one person for pick ups. I stood there and 2 people said someone will be with you, no one came. I had to complain for someone to acknowledge me. And guess what my food was just SITTING there ready, and cold. This is why I never go! It’s such a shame Bc it’s close and I love the food. But I thought maybe they would get it together after all these years but nope still the same disaster of a operation.

Not only is the service horrendous, but multiple videos of mice, cockroaches, and other bugs in and around food just surfaced. This place has been garbage for years and I’m glad it’s finally being shown for what it is

Place take soo long for orders

Ordered thru grub hub. I normally only give good reviews but this order was deficient enough to make note. Order came without side salad with sandwich & what is called a panini is meat on a pita not paninis bread or grilled. They missed the cheese that was listed in the American. The bagels are amazing so I will continue to order bagels but any other sandwiches I’d have to rethink.

Rude staff, slow service, mediocre food. If they didn’t have a hold of the local breakfast market in East Rockaway they would be out of business in a heartbeat.Just a note to the owner — getting busy is understandable— your staffs cavalier attitude about it is not.

Called at 1:57 and they close at 2pm saying I wanted a bagel to pick up she said they’re closed and didn’t even let me finish my sentence that I was outside and she hung up never going again.. terrible service

Currently paying for my order that I called in (was told half hr wait for 2 cold cut sandwiches) get there and its an additional 30min wait and the manager is walking around taking inventory. Finally we asked her if she could help us as our order was in fact ready (I even called whilst on line to ensure ) she calmly helped us in the slowest way possible after walking by the line we were on (separateline for pickup orders that no1 was attending to). Not coming back. Its NOT worth the wait and slowness in service and no1 is particularly nice at that. Food is mediocre. Also they charge for EVERYTHING, 75 cents for tomato, 1 dollar for cheese .5 cents for lettuce. 2 cold cut ham and american on a roll came to 19.05 (1 had lettuce and tomatoes)

Been coming here faithfully and happily for 4 years. The best egg sandwich in a bagel for at least a couple towns in each direction and good iced coffee make this place a life saver on those special mornings.

I have eaten here many times on the way to the beach. The bagels are baked on the premises. They are soft and chewy on the inside, while crunchy on the outside. It makes a good basis for one of the many stuffing and toppings for a sandwich. They use high quality Boars head. The cakes and cookies are delicious. The babka is out of this world. The coffee is really good. They serve breakfast until 1 in the afternoon. The owner is hands on, and is usually present in the bagel shop. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is extremely friendly. There is plenty of free parking.

Ive gone to this place since it opened. Their food is actually pretty good, if you can get someone with actual skill to make it. But they juggle through employees so much that its nearly impossible. The only reason Ive gone to this place for so long because its one of the only delis in the area. But there comes a point when you walk out of that place and do not return.Prices- They are a little bit on the pricey side. What funny is you can order the same thing for a week straight and have the price be different every time. Think that is a result of the lack of employee training.Service- Although the majority of the employees really are good people, except for the one guy with glasses that works there. Rolls his eyes when you tell him what you want. Man needs to be fired, or maybe explained what he is suppose to do there.But anyway, there is almost always a line in that place. Not because of the amount of people ordering, just complete lack of management.Look on yelp for a more accurate review of this place other than google. I hate having to leave a bad review today i ordered by phone to make sure that my food is ready on time my wife went to pick up food 25 to 30 minutes later then after standing on line for another 30 minutes shes told they never made our orderAlso the guy who answered phone seemed to be highly incompetent at best every thing i said he basically said the opposite thing im very particular with my order when i order food anywhere but when i order 2 everything bagels scooped tosted extremely well done one with 3 eggs over easy and ham and one with scallion cream cheese it shouldnt be that hard to make or take that order its a shame because there food is good but they are mismanaged and hire anyone that has heart beat instead of looking for kids that you can teach to be competent sorry to say this is my last time ordering ill drive to rvc oceanside lymbrook this has happend to many times and i would always like to support local home town businesses

Great bagels but extremely slow service. Long long lines just to pick up bagels. They need sandwich line and bagel only line. We shouldnt have to wait for sandwiches to be made when some ppl just need dozen bagels n go quickly. Lots of ppl stopped going bc of long long lines with slow service. But the owners and staff are great. Just not organized

Overpriced the owners dont care. Went here today and the guy took my order he then went running around helping other people and forgot about me. I watched them give my sandwich to someone else and after 10Minutes I informed them I had to go. The guy asked what are you waiting for? I said bacon egg and cheese and he goes to the back for a second no ticket for that Im upset and say Im about to ask for my money back. So he slams open the register and hands me $15 and walks away. I left and called and asked for a manager and they kept me on perpetual hold. No resolution. Why make the owners rich when they clearly dont care about their customers. Ask yourself this why spend $20 or $100 a week at a place where tbe owners dont respect you or care about hou. Dont shop here please dont do it.

Pretty good bagels. Ive been to every bagel place between Valley Stream, Lynbrook, Malverne, East Rock, Rockville Centre and these are the best. Not great but pretty good compared to the rest. I cant believe how bad the bagels have gotten to be in this area and that half these places are even still open. I guess we all get used to and accept mediocrity. Twenty years ago these were just average.

Walked in and waited on line patiently just to get skipped by what I guess is one of their regulars. When I asked for help they purposely ignored me (not even eye contact), I’m hoping it isn’t because of my appearance but that’s how it felt.

Just left this place in absolute disgust! The man taking car of my order accidentally drops my side salad on the floor he begins to use profanity at his mistake. He then proceeds to lift the mat ( that everyone is stepping on ) with his gloves, he moves the mat and then goes back to make my husbands sandwich WITHOUT CHANGING HIS GLOVES. I asked him why didnt he change is gloves and he got so upset and started yelling that he did. I purposely watched him from the moment he picked up the mat to when he touched the roast beef. Absolutely disgusting and RUDE!

I asked for olive cream cheese. There was one sliver of olives in the cream cheese. This is the 2nd time they messed up the order. No olives in the olive cream Cheese is a big thing.
