Has mostly everything I needed. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They told me exactly which aisle and location I needed to go, to get what I needed. Theyre reasonably priced and have a fair selection.
Good place to shop when you need something quick. Home Depot, Lowes are a longer drive.Staffs great. Friendly, knowledgeable, usually have what you need, and the prices right!
Every single person who works at ace is so polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They had everything I needed to get my new home in order. If they were out of something, they ordered it for me or directed me to another store where I could get what I needed. Can’t recommend this store enough.
Great place. Friendly staff. Excellent selection of products. Reasonably priced.
Lewis Ace is my local Ace store. Its larger than most of the Aces in my area. This is good as they carry an expanded inventory. Of course this Ace offers key cutting, sharpening, screen repair and other services. You can also get a propane fill. Last time it cost me 10 bux. This one also sells lumber and other building materials, again, thanks to its size. Unless Ive needed something really esoteric, theyve always had what I needed. This Ace is much closer to me than Lowes or Home Depot so Im quite happy with the expanded inventory. My last visit was a cheap one. I needed some hardware. Just some nails and screws. I got in, got what I needed and got out. The store is bright and clean. Its well laid out and the aisle are pretty spacious. The parking lot, especially the entrance, needs some love. I drive a low slung sports car and I worry about scraping bottom when I enter or leave. The staffing here is really why I cant go 5 stars. Most are courteous if not friendly. There are some who clearly dont want to be there and it shows. Ill still go back because its close and they have what I need.
Very clean, Cool and organized.Assistance was immediate and thorough.Going there first from now on...
This store has the best, knowledgeable employees ever.Living in NYC, I knew nothing about fixing or maintenance of a house. I’ve learned so much from Brian.Brian has been my go to for all my projects. This young man is knowledgeable and not afraid to go to some other employee for help. What makes this store “special” are the people that are there day to day that are willing to explain and teach a NYC boy about “how to” on anything.I go here because I feel the caring and humbleness of these employees.I want to take this tome to thank Brian. Brian, you’re the best brother. Thank you.
Love this place is great found all I need
Love going here always helpful nice and great to communicate with never have any issues super nice stage I go here a lot ty for always being so nice and super helpful I’m grateful for u all
This is a great Hardware Store that holds everything one would need to do most projects their working on. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They are always willing to help you find a solution to your problem.
I am an employee at a different ace hardware and that being said i had high expectations for the products and customer service. No issue with the products my issue is with the manager pam. It started with me calling to ask about a pool. She told me the size and the cost. I wanted it and she said that she would hold it until close. Both the size and cost were wrong, she obviously guessed and she did not hold the item for me. I asked her to use my employee discount after finding what i wanted myself and she stared at me with a rude look on her face. She told me ace hardware doesn’t do employee discounts when i have in fact used my employee discount in multiple states, multiple times. She also said she doesn’t give her own employees discounts. I expect that behavior from a minimum wage teenager working, not a grown adult let alone a manager. I am very upset with my experience, Pam was very rude to me when all i did was ask a few simple questions. If i could give zero stars I would. I didn’t interact with the other employees so i cannot say how they acted I am specifically singling Pam out.
Ive been going to this store since I moved here, which was in 2015. Very helpful and polite workers. I wish they had on-site technicians to make repairs on different kinds of machines. Id come here before I took a trip anywhere else.
When it comes to diy projects around the home there three retail business where I purchase the materials I need. However, I dont always find what I am looking for and many times the big retailers send me to Ace. They always say, if you dont find at Ace Hardware Store, you wont find it anywhere. In my experience? They are absolutely right.Lewis Ace is convenient for me not only for their location, but because their staff. They are courteous, polite and very helpful. You dont need to run around the story looking for help because theres always someone to assist you. Wether you need help with plumbing, electrical work or any other tasks involving home improvement, the staff is experienced and able to help you. The only downside of it is their prices which are a little higher than the big retailers. However, their services and location overrides the price difference.
There price are to much just because there closer than other stores
Clean place. The staff is knowledgeable, but you can tell the younger staff know where items are, but not necessarily experts. If you can get the owner or Rob to help youre golden. Prices are a little higher then average, but if youre local its worth saving the time of not driving as far for a couple offs and ends.
Generally like the store better than a the likes of Home Depot or Lowe’s. But I can no longer be a customer of this establishment. I went in to purchase several items when I noticed a person in the store without a mask on. This is in direct violation of county and store policy. Then that person started checking people out without a mask! He worked there! When I mentioned that there was an employee working without a mask to what looked like security, someone did walk up to the maskless employee and ask him to put his mask on. I would assume that he would be remorseful because maybe he forgot? But that is when he started asking very loudly “who complained about me not wearing a mask?” He seemed disgruntled about having to wear a mask. Maybe I will come back after this is all over. I doubt it.
Clean, smaller hardware store with an easy to find setup. Went in for two items, and was in an out in no time with what I needed. Reasonable prices.
Lewis ace is a classic and well stocked hardware store! This store has a friendly staff to help you with whatever you may need, as well as a lot of great products from many of the best brands available. The paint section is also an authorized Benjamin Moore retailer, and they have a great selection of Stihl products in stock!
I have come here twice for paint supplies and for a small store, there have a great variety of options. The staff is always friendly. The only challenge is getting across Rte 209 no get in or out
Customer Service is sub-par, But the store is great. Theyve got most of the same stuff Home Depot and Lowes has, so I dont have to go to Arlington Heights all the time for stuff I can buy locally.
What a great local store. Very friendly staff.
In need of 4 ; 26 Gauge Galv/ 90 degree elbow for venting.,not in stock...
Always will do business with this local store, great friendly people that I have known for many years, better than dealing with big box stores, always helpful and never have to chase anyone for help. 99% of the time they have what I need.
V helpful staff of diy pros
Good store to have in the area. Fits most of your basic hardware needs while avoiding the big box stores.
Don’t buy Electric staple guns! Products don’t last and they would take them back, with receipts.
Good helpful employees
Nice place to go but too expensive
Very helpful staff and decent prices! We prefer to go here then the big box stores.
I ordered some stuff online i was in a super rush went into the store when my order wasnt ready they gathered my order with in minutes and were super professional about the situation 10/10 would do business again
Fairly nice place its what its expected to be.
Friendly. Had what I needed!
Clean store, great staff!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff and everything you need in stock and easy to find with multiple varieties and brands.
A good hardware store with a knowledgeable staff also do small engine work
Great service. Get in get out size!
Great inventory and variety of products. Prices are good and mostly quite reasonable. We found everything we needed.
I really love this Ace. Its well Maintained. Aisles are organized and things are easy to find. Plenty of staff to help you if need be and prices are competitive. My only gripe is when Im in there I feel like I am being monitored or profiled. weird.
The people there are always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. You can find whatever you need.
I love this store they carry everything I need and more. They do everything and carry all items that the big stores do but without the fuss of traffic and long lines.
Great store Helpful staff. Well stocked
It looks small from the outside but they have EVERYTHING! The store does get very busy on the weekends. Every member of the staff has been very helpful and extremely knowledgable. The polar opposite of a big box store experience.
Great place, lots of merchandise, good prices, and fantastic and friendly people. I recommend this place for all your hardware needs..
This is a very convenient location. They dont have everything but they have a nice selection of many things. They are very nice, helpful and they even make car keys.
Excellent service,priced reasonable
This is a wonderful hardware store. They carry a wide range of inventory and the service is impeccable. Its nice to know that I can walk into a local store and receive full assistance with my purchase. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My dog was welcome and got a treat :)
All you need in one place.
Friendly service had what I was looking for ... what more could you ask for...
Didnt have what I needed that day, bit doesnt change the fact that I love old school smaller hardware stores. Im sure theyd have been able to get it if Id been willing to wait.
Very expensive employees are very rude they let people in no mask when I said something I was told they don’t need the make people like this should no be working and they steal Propane from customers
Replacing the previous store, True Value, Ace is big hardware with hometown feel! Close, great prices & no crowds! Carrying large varieties of the usual hardware/household finds plus seasonal supplies (wood pellets, ice melt) like you might find in big box stores with it all being easy to find. Staff were super friendly & helpful!
Too many cops hassling around there . People love it i guess
Very helpful staff. Usually has what you need in stock.
Worked at an ACE hardware once and is still just as personable for the public
Nice friendly hardware store. I find everything I need from plumbing to electrical to paint. They also have a great selection of nuts and bolts-better than anywhere else Ive been.good prices on heaters and air conditioners
Need a Mansfield spigot part which they had.
Somewhat pricey but theyre a good pit stop for items. Closer than Home Depot.
Staff is always helpful and Im always amazed by how much they have in stock.
Have a good supply of needed home hardware.
Everyone is sp helpful there a bit on the high side on price but its not to bad. Great little place for everything you need quickly
Very nice store with a good layout and great selection. Staff was helpful in finding the plumbing parts we needed for emergency repair. Also very helpful at the register in looking at the knives on display.
You pay alittle more, but have great selection of regular and personalized items.personal service. Clean store.
Nice store. They seem to have lost of things for all your hardware needs.
Small local store, usually has what i need. Prices are a tad higher than the usual warehouse selection but you get some personal attention here when you need help. Return policy is a bit short compared to cheaper counterparts though, if they brought that up to par this place would be great
Super expensive on everything. Their propane very expensive too. And they charge sales tax. Should not be taxable. They wouldnt listen when we expressed our concern with charging tax. Hoping to find out where to report them for doing so.
The only reasin not a 5 star isPlace work Bank hours open at 9amPrices a way to expensiveOther wise its a ok hardware store...
Great people work there!!
Convenient location for me and a lot more relaxed shopping then the big box stores.
Had 3 30lb RV propane cans filled today. I called and was told they charged flat rate fills for 17.99 for a 20lb cylinder. Broken down by gallon should have been $3.60 a gallon. High for the price of propane but they are local. I was charged for 4.5 20lb fills and only received 6.3 gallons per tank per their store policy. So price worked out to $4.28 per gallon. I did not catch on till the last tank. Wish I would have watched the gallon meter a little closer because I think I was shorted on all 3 tanks.
Ace is the hardware store that always have the good parts
Love this place. It only got three stars due to the high prices 😥
Employees go above and beyond to get your business. They make this business what it is.
One of my favorite places to go. I came there today to have a key made. The owners are very helpful and always willing to offer suggestions to make our projects go smoothly.
Great place
The people in the store are ALWAYS very nice and helpful.
Great staff, personalized service, and just about anything you need.
They price everything so hi its ridiculous. They know there is no other hardware stores in town and they capitalize on that.
Ok,for fast items.PRICES ARE HIEGHER
Everyone is so helpful here!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Convenient since the big chains are t close by. Always has everything we need. We are happy to support the local businesses.
They dont have everything
Good place to go for your hardware shopping. Not expensive and people are very helpful
Great service attentive to my needs knew exactly where what I needed wasWas in and out in 10 minutes
Im a novice with home upgrades/hardware and they just assumed I was well equipped with the right knowledge. Overall its like a convenience store for hardware supplies its really nice.
Always has what I need
Great store. Good associates. Has everything!! Even a small shopping cart..
I didnt want to deal with installing the wick in my kerosene heater & gave it to them to do it. They charged me over $80.00. Only thing works half ass is the wick they put in. They put in new igniter and it worked for ONE DAY. I repaired my other kerosene heater for $15.00 and works like a charm. These people are rude and expansive. I asked if it was under new management and why it was so expansive & I was told thats the neighborhood (whatever the hell that means) Ive been going here for over 20 years & always had nice experiences but now NEVER AGAIN I will give these people my business. Rude, expansive and their work doesnt hold up.
Friendly and helpful!! Thank you staff
Nice neighborhood store. Fast service
Its close to home its better than driving all the way into town its a little bit pricey
Ace Hardware.Alot better.Bigger Selection.Dave has a lot of good stuff.Everybody at Ace Hardware very nice helpful people.I always go there for things...
I was looking at base paint with my husband. Not bothering a soul. It was for an abstract project. Not what base paint is typically used for. An employee, from across the store, shouts over to me, your not gonna understand any of that no matter how long you look at it. I said excuse me? I didnt ask for help. And I no what I need for my own project. He was standing around laughing with another employee. I will not come back till the employee with the mustache is gone.
First time shopper, they had everything I asked for, great help
Always very nice, helpful, and accommodating. Its a pleasant place to shop, always have sale items, with very knowledgeable staff.
I dread going to this place. I will drive out of my way to avoid the attitudes in this place. I shopped there for many years, when they were true value and where the liquor store is now and neighbors always asked why do you give them your business? It was never questioned because of high prices because I will always pay more if something is locally owned versus going to a chain. It was a question based on how obnoxiously rude they are. The short haired lady is the worse. She has an attitude 100% of the time while the owner is a big D but you can tell thats due to a personality disorder. If you want to shop small businesses and need hardware, go to Cramers in east stroudsburg.
Great place to pick up what you need for the house. Paint hardware, wood, they have a nice selection of products and friendly people
Very convenient, large selection, friendly staff and free parking. The women manager or owner has been there for years, she really knows here stuff!!!
Found what I needed.
Went in to buy marking tape to mark my trees and when I went to pay for it it came up a different price (over charged) and then he told me I couldnt use my debit card because it was under $5 and he wanted cash. He then said he could charge me an extra 1.50 to bring the price up to $5....some nerve! So I told him to cancel the order and I would get something else and he was of no help locating what I needed. I had asked for the chain link panel clamps that are used to hold 2 chain link fences together for a kennel and he sends to to something totally different. At this point I am livid and said he wasted my time and left. I will stick to driving the 25+ miles to home depot instead of coming here that is only 6 miles away.
