Won’t accept items that are on the list of accepted items. Won’t take more than 3 (small) bags of clothing, which needs to be made clear on the website so people don’t waste their time. Don’t waste your time.

Lovely employees, seamless drop-off. Receipt given for taxes. Sometimes I run across the street to Dunkin donuts and bring them a coffee and munchkins.

I used to drop off my donations here for many years, but I stopped about a year ago because on my last trip there I had a bag of gently used clothes for donation mixed with a couple of never before used toys. Their goodwill website specifically says that they take toys as donations. When I went to drop off my donations that day, a rather rude lady who worked there came up to me and abrasively asked me what’s in the bags. I told her it’s mostly clothes with a couple of toys mixed in. She told me that they don’t take toys and if I don’t want to take them back now she’s just gonna throw them out. I told her that their website specifically says that toys are accepted, and that I’ve also been donating toys to them for years. She rolled her eyes and walked away.On another occasion a man who worked in there turned away some of my household donations as well, along with a small piece of furniture that (you guessed it) their website says they accept.Another time I was about 8 months pregnant and had about 3 or 4 large bags full of clothes to donate. I went inside and asked the gentleman inside if he can help me bring one of my bags inside because it was very heavy. He was hesitant at first, but after seeing my clearly large, round, pregnant belly he said he’ll help me but he normally doesn’t because he is supposedly not allowed to. Luckily there was another young man outside who saw we were struggling and ended up helping.Because of the inconsistencies of what their website says they take and what this location actually takes, I just stopped going there altogether. It was quite a headache dealing with them, especially the fact that most of them working in there were very rude and had zero customer service skills. They always seemed like they were doing us a favour. I thought the whole point of goodwill was to accept donations? Not turn people away!Additionally, the last few times I’ve gone there they also seemed extremely overcrowded with things in there. I’m not sure if they’re shortstaffed or what but it was extremely cluttered in there and didn’t look well-managed. I hope for their sake they’ve sorted things out because a lot of people that I know stop donating to them as well.

Went to donate at the Center at 380 N, Saw Mill River Rd, Elmsford, NY 10523. The items included clean seldom used good small appliances in good working order. The manager of the collection area refused to take the items, and was extremely rude about it. Goodwill was far better in the past. At least they were polite, and not so horribly picky. This is a place for items for donation, not a Department store. Never again. Go to the Salvation Army. At least they do good works.

The the store employees refused three boxes of common household items. Went to Salvation Army in Mount Vernon instead.

They seem to leave early at times. Went here more than once to find the place closed before their posted closing hour.

I have only dropped off at this location. They have cleaned it up and it looks a lot nicer when you interact with staff. Its very easy to drop items off as there is parking next door and an after hrs bin.

Short answered. Felt as if I was bothering. Limited on how much you can drop off.

I went to donate clothing. It was a very pain-free process and did not take long. I only wish they accepted items like strollers
