We love living at Silk, Jennifer (property manager) and Todd (maintenance manager) are wonderful and very attentive to all of our needs!! Been living at the property since the beginning of development and the apartments are gorgeous! We recently decided to move to a different unit in the complex and are thrilled with the difference in all units. Due to the buildings being historic there is definitely noise between units at times, but that’s what you get when living in any apartment. We love it here, definitely would recommend to perspective tenants looking for a “city vibe.” Many great businesses and business owners and ice cream place is an absolute PLUS! We love it here, thanks for an amazing experience with living!

I love living at the Silk Mills.Its a beautiful place to live, from the beautiful trails, the river, the outstanding restaurants and winery.I cant think of a more beautiful place to call home.The service is great too, great honest communication and any maintenance or help I’ve ever needed is always provided quickly and easily.If your looking for a new place to call home, the Silk Mills is a fantastic place.

I feel it is a privilege to live at the Simon Silk Mill. The historic buildings have been beautifully restored, and the blend of commercial spaces with residential has been handled really well, giving the complex a true neighborhood feel. Aside from a few minor issues (and they are minor), the management strives to do its best to address its residents concerns. This is just what I needed!

The largest issue with living here is parking. The surrounding shops & restaurants may seem nice, but there is no dedicated parking for us paying tenants. Customers of the brewery, winery, bridal shop, distillery, cafe, etc. take up most of the parking and tenants are forced to walk long distances to their buildings. Many, many tenants and/or visitors end up parking illegally (with no repercussion).The lack of parking must be by design as VM reality charges over $100/month for a reserved spot.The units are visually appealing. However, as other reviews state the walls are quite thin and you can easily hear all of your neighbors. That, and there are MANY tenants currently with pets that, when unattended throughout the day, constantly make loud noise. The property manager has even stated there have been numerous noise complaints in my building due to pets, yet nothing has changed.The in-house maintenance team seems great. If theres an issue they can fix, they are speedy! Alas, more times than not, issues must be outsourced to appliance companies who take upwards of a month to fix an issue. That said..there shouldnt be any issues to begin with.The living experience is definitely not worth the price. I urge anyone reading to avoid renting here. If I havent swayed you, be sure to at the very least rent a top floor unit or you WILL be miserable.Every tenant Ive met agrees; the lack of parking is outrageous and pets are too noisy.Fix the parking problem and Im sure youll retain more renters.

This is a beautiful historical complex with many commercial businesses of great variety and if not for covid, there would many events going on all around you.I have lived here for over a year. I looked at many apts and once I looked here that was it for me. It is so unique and beautiful, just love it!Now I did find issues that made me unhappy and took my issues to management and never really got assistance.At 10 months of living here it was time to sign new lease or move at end of lease. Hard decision to make as the people that live here are very nice and very friendly. BUT, I still was upset with management.Before the 10 month time we had a hugh change in management. WOW, total change here. Our new management has moved mountains fixing issues that should have been handled from the time I moved in. Now I could not be happier, I am here to stay!!! There are SO many changes and have heard that there are many more changes to come. Our new management gets right back to you, you are not ignored. I just want to say, Thank you management, Steven and Grace, you have made me a very happy renter. You both are so pleasant and have a very happy personality.I also want to say Thank you toTodd, our head of maintenance dept. Todd is always there the same day or the next morning if not an emergency. He is very pleasant and can fix anything.I RATE SIMONS SILK MILL 5 STAR. I have never lived anywhere that I love so much. Even through Covid it has not been hard to confine myself as I love it here.Every apt bldg has fob entrance, feel very safe!! If you are looking to move put Silk on your must see list, I am so happy I did.Shirl

Can’t sleep a lot of nights because I can hear my neighbors tv all night. Don’t move here unless you like hearing everyone around you and vice versa. This place sucks

Summary: no parking, continuously leaking ceiling with no relief after 5+ maintenance requests, mold on our ceilings that they pretended wasn’t mold but identified as a “condensation caused stain”, and no security for the duration of our tenancy. Also, rude management.

VM Realty Group LLC has created a great space and environment for the residents and businesses in a turn-of-the-century gem at the Simon Silky Mill. We moved into our apartment July 2019. After 20+ years living in Manhattan and Jersey City my partner and I set our sights on Easton PA. The Silk Mill delivers on every one of our needs and wants when looking for an exceptional place to live. The luxury finishes, appliances, and attention to the details of the building are visually beautiful and functional. The management group has been very responsive to our requests for repairs and ironing out some issues with the new construction. I have been in Real Estate over 21 years in Manhattan and New Jersey and have dealt with the issues surrounding new construction. The VM Team has been very professional and continues to excel in their responsiveness to our needs, making this a great place to live.

Leaking ceilings, mold in ceiling due to leaks, non-responsive property manager, cardboard thin walls with no capacity to dampen noise, crowded and very narrow parking lot without enough spaces for tenants.. the list goes on. Avoid.
