Janice, the owner, made our first ballet purchase experience wonderful - she took the time to explain everything to us and offered suggestions that helped us to pick out the perfect items. We never felt rushed or silly because we didn’t know what we needed or how to choose between products. Words can’t fully describe what an amazing find this store is - you have to check it out and then you will understand! We will definitely be back again for all of our future ballet/tap/jazz needs.

I was looking for a leotard for my daughter. They were sold out for her size but the lady was extremely nice and helpful and called other locations to find one for me. I will be definitely going back to this location. Very cute store!

I just cant thank Jan ice and her entire DC Dancewear staff enough for assisting me and my 8 yr old daughter on a last minute dress for her upcoming skating competition. The customer service went above and beyond for us. Janice had kept the business open after closing to assist my daught in funding that perfect dress, and we did with absolutely no pressure. Great selection of dance wear, although they are a little on the pricey side. The sales associate was very helpful and my daughter walked out with a beautiful leotard. I will return tho DC Dancewear in the future.

DC Dancewear doesn’t have a wide range of colors for women of color. To return tights you need a piece of cardboard, and if you don’t have it, you can’t return it. A piece of cardboard! Never going there again.

Prices are marked incorrectly so they then doubled the price of nearly our entire order at the register so that was a lovely surprise. They also took incredibly long you acknowlege us and in doing so our meter ran out and we got a ticket to top it all off
