Best auto muffler business in metro Detroit. I have been going here since the old owner was alive over 15 years ago. They give you quick quality muffler service. Tony will weld or do whatever is needed to make sure you leave with a quiet auto. The dealer wanted me to pay $1200 for the whole exhaust system when I only needed one part. Tony fixed my flex while I waited for far less than the dealer. I found this shop in January of 2021. Tony the owner seemed friendly and was whiling to provide me with advice on the parts needed to repair my exhaust. He put my truck on the hoist and took a look at what was needed. Based on Tony’s recommendations I ordered the parts, and came back in February to have them installed. Parts had to be ordered, due to the shop not carrying them on house. Originally he stated the Y-Pipe could be repaired, so it was not ordered. When it came time to install the parts, he was unwilling to repair the Y-Pipe.Fast forward to this morning June 21, 2021 I arrived to have a Y-Pipe installed and Tony told me he doesn’t install customer parts. I reminded him of the work he performed in February, with an attitude he replied with you probably bought the cheapest parts? Taken aback I replied with I ordered the brand you recommended. He became agitated and insisted that he would need “hours to make that repair”. It was apparent he did not want to do the work.After the attitude and claims he didn’t install customer parts I chose to leave. I will say the work Tony and his guy did for me in February was good, but I won’t be going back or recommending him to anyone.

Most knowledgeable muffler shop around. Needed some work on my Cherokee and he quoted me a rate. Saw the job said it be more. Once done which was quick upheld his quote and paid. Gets the job done for the right price.

Love these guys.. been bringing my cars to them for years.. ALWAYS great professional work and goes up and beyond to satisfy the customer! I went in to have my duallys redone, wanted my pipes straight out the back and the trailer hitch removed.. VERY HAPPY with the results! I would recommended them any day of the week..

Went in to have a leak looked at and they told me it would be best if I used a couple inexpensive factory parts as opposed to there aftermarket parts for the repair that was needed.Its refreshing to encounter professionals value the quality of their work over making a quick buck.

Went to have what I believe was a exhaust leak. No leaks, no charge, pulled right in and was out and checked in less than 10min. Been going here since 1988, dont see a reason to change!

I had my catalytic converter stolen. Years ago I went to this muffler shop next Mazen Supermarket. My catalytic converter was stolen at Mazen Supermarket a few months ago. I went to Auto Muffler Service and was surprised Tony had moved on Gratiot off 8 mile. I was so glad I found them after so many years. They did a great job replacing my catalytic converter. I will always take my vehicles back to Auto Muffler Service.

I’ve had a rattle near my muffler that had gotten progressively worse over the last week. I Googled muffler repair shops near my job and this place was recommended first.I was prepared to send $$$ to get it fixed. Little did I know It was just a minor issue, which the shop didn’t charge me a dime for. Nothing!I tipped the repair man, even though he initially refused to take anything. Sometimes, you really do come across good people and honest businesses.Thank you!!!

These guys expect you to be a push over. They are very rude. As soon as you get thru the garage door, the manager is steaming with anger. You’re greeted with hostility. Don’t even think to ask these guys any questions. It’s like you’ve opened another realm of anger. If you have a foreign car, they’ll tell ya not to ever come back and send you right out the back garage door. They don’t respect people that are willing to spend money with them.

My exhaust had been leaking into the cabin of my car. I got 3 different estimates that I thought were overpriced. A good friend of mine had been going to auto muffler for over 20 years and recommended them to me. The owner took the time to explain what he would do and what it would cost he even gave alternatives to fit my budget. I’m glad I got my exhaust problem fixed here they were honest and got me diagnosed and out of the shop in 30 minutes. I recommend them with flying colors.

Great service, very fast and very honest. Other places were quoting me well over $350 to have my Mercedes fixed. A pipe simply needed to be welded. Took 10 minutes and was able to be fixed for under $60. Tony was very nice and knowledgeable.

Took my 02 Mustang there because I heard they could accommodate lowered cars. At first they tried and were afraid they would rip off front bumper but another employee made a suggestion and they were able to get it on the lift. They were very professional and walked me through everything they were doing and making sure I was satisfied. Gret place we go here again.

Arrived at 9:30AM and sat at the garage door beeping for about 30 minutes and no one ever came out. I even gave them a call while I sat outside and no one answered the phone. Probably best to take your business elsewhere, there are a lot of other good Muffler Shops in the area.

I took my 05 Ford Explorer to auto muffler on Gratiot ave Eastpointe MI for exhaust work. The price I was quoted was too high. The guy Tony tells me I can get the parts myself and he would install them and so I did. When I returned with the parts this A-hole Tony tells me hes tired of people bringing their own parts. Hey Tony why the hell would you tell me to get the parts? Stay away from this A-hole. Zero stars!!!!!!!!!

TONY AND ADAM ARE THEEE BEST PEOPLE! I was so convinced my car needed new catalytic convertors which are very expensive, and they took the time to check it out and told me don’t dare waste money on something that wasn’t needed! I’m sure if it was another shop and me being a girl they would say oh yeah it needs them! Thanks for the opinion guys, you rock! AMAZING PERSONALITY AND DOWN TO EARTH GUys! And when you brought Eastpointe PD the officer even told you that you wasted his time. We have been around for 60 years and have generations of returning customers.
