Very unassuming from the outside. Well organized spot. Packed with comics, figures, and other Collectibles. Still able to maneuver through the store without issue. Instantly got that comic paper smell as soon as walking into the store. Such a great comforting sense. Moderately priced. Books on the wall are minor and major keys as well as whats trending due to the MCU.

Dudes have awesome comics and collectibles and prices are fair. They were really knowledgeable and easy to talk with. Worth it to check them out.

BEST comics shop in the area, been a customer for years. Friendly, knowledgeable and funny staff and lots of product like Magic The Gathering cards, Pokemon, Funko-Pops, etc. in addition to their vast collection of vintage comic books, going back to the golden-age.Also, fun to wind-up Brian (the owner and BIG comics fan) and argue with him about comics (in a fun way).

Found this spot driving by, the gentlemen there were very kind and friendly but most of all helpful. Its strictly comics and figurines so if youre a collector this is where you wanna go.

If you want new comics im sure this place will have them. As for back issues it leaves a lot to be desired. Waaaaaaay too expensive on back issues. Your better of going on Ebay for back issues.

Helpfull staff cool toys the kids had a great time

Spent an hour digging through their boxes. Pulled out $50 worth of comics I wanted. Brought it up to the register, and was told they needed to look them up on ebay first. New total: $200. Walked out and will never come back. Lazy and dishonest business practice.

This Comic store is amazing an awesome. Went in there after leaving another famous shop just to see if they had Punisher comics and I was not disappointed. As a matter of fact I bought the Volume 1 series and all of their Vol 2 collection. I forgot the employees name but he was awesome to work worth and helped out allot. I would recommend going to this shop if you looking for comics and other items rather any where else that maybe film approved. I am actually going to be in touch with this shop when i figure what other comics i am missing. The 2hr45m drive will be well worth it in the future.

Changes price when you bring comic up to register. If it says $10 and it is now selling online for $20 he makes you pay the higher price even though it clearly says $10 on the comic bag. Lazy way of doing business.

Great place. Toys, comics, figures etc. Friendly staff - let my young boys roam around and check out books before buying. Reminds me of neighborhood stores in Manhattan growing up.

I enjoy stopping in to different shops to check out the back issues while I am in the area so I have been to this store a few times while in Long Branch. I will never be returning to this store.I stopped in this week because I was in the area doing some Christmas shopping at the mall which is close by. I spent about 30-45 minutes looking through the long boxes and found a few books that I liked and fit into what I’m collecting. I went to the register to pay, and as I am pulling out my money the guy at the register says “sorry dude, I’m going to have to upcharge this” and held up a copy of “Star Wars: Thrawn” #1 which had a $5 sticker on it. I asked him what he meant because I have never been “upcharged” on a comic book. He turns around and looks at his friend that’s standing in the corner and says “this is a $20 book now so I’m going to have to upcharge you.” I guess because they said the characters name on The Mandalorian the shop owner felt this book should now be sold for more than what he would have been happy to sell it for 5 days earlier?Customers are customers, we shouldn’t be the ones pulling product from your floor to be marked up.As a customer, I don’t expect to spend time looking through a store finding things to buy to then be told I have to pay more than what is marked on the items. Especially as a collector, if I wanted to pay eBay prices for back issues then I would save myself the half hour I spent digging through the long boxes in a store and just paid the $20 online.It was $15, the guy could have just shrugged and been happy he had someone in his store buying a stack of books. I likely would have come back every few months like I always do and spent a few hundred dollars throughout those trips, but now they’ve lost a customer over 15 bucks.

Came here for Magic: The Gathering cards. They had a number of boxes of mtg cards to choose from.

A small but GREAT comic book shop. This is definitely an old school comic shop. It has all the latest releases as well a good selection of older titles.

This is the best shop period in the area for comics, comic related collectibles, and Magic the Gathering. There is typically MTG drafts every Saturday and the staff is very chill as well as laid back. You could easily spend hours in here just talking about comics or MTG. The shop has a welcoming feel to it and the knowledge of the staff is amazing. You definitely want to check the shop out if you have not yet.

This is a little gem, with loads of reading material and good sales! If youre on a budget and looking for some classics (Not collectible issues, Classic as in oldies but goodies) this is the place for you. Dont sleep on it!

Great little comic store. Wide selection of new releases and many back issues to choose from. Collectibles also scattered about from pins to action figures. Great place to visit weekly and get your comic fix in.

Ive changed my rating. The old location wasnt great and when I entered I wasnt helped. It wasnt busy, my son and I were the only ones inside, but the person working had zero interest in helping. We came back today (new location) and there was a completely different attitude. We were greeted, given help, and actually bought stuff this time. Great job changing things around.

Great shop. Honest. Good prices. 1/2 off back issues sale 2x a year and I think a sale for statues and toys as well during back issue sale. Brian and Mike are great. Will def tell you what theyre thinking about a title if they had a chance to read it. You can just hang out here and BS for a while

Very friendly. Will always go out of their way to help you out with purchases or information. Frequent the store once a week and the owner has my own pull list so I dont even have to take off the shelves and provides a discount to frequent members. Very enjoyable small comic shop!

Delightful experience, Brien the owner/operator tirelessly entertains and informs his patrons with the latest comic & game news. He is a well Fount of knowledge pooled from decades of experience. One could easily believe that ever issue upon his shelves has been read and taken to memory by him. Where such shops arise in tandem to the current culture. His stands as a temple not just to current favor but as a bulwark to stem the tide of disgenuism.

Everything you want in a comic book shop! A wide selection of current and back issues, a nice variety of toys, games, collectibles, and novelty items. The owner and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable, providing top notch customer service.At any given time you can find yourself engaged in fun conversation with both staff and patrons making for not only a pleasant shopping experience, but an all around good time.Great for the hardcore long term collector, casual fans, and newbies alike. Plenty of stuff for the little ones, and shopping made easy for the mom, wife, or girlfriend of that big geek at home! Ive patronized the shop for years, and continue to get my comics from them either via mail, or when I visit home. I cant imagine buying from anybody else!The Crypt also hosts after hour Official Magic and HeroClix Tournaments, as well as art shows with live performers. Ive attended one of the live performance events, and it was a really great time.Its the small businesses like this that are the true backbone of Jersey. I cant recommend The Comic Crypt enough!

The Comic Crypt has a lovely selection of comics, from all your favorites of the tales of Batman, Nightwing, Superman, Iron Man, Captain America, The Justice League, The Avengers, Chip and Dale, etc. The store was a bit small in size but wide in selection. The comics are generally priced from from around $3+ It had a nice variety of action figures and other trinkets. I am sure you will enjoy it!

Its a narrow, small shop with a small selection of comics. Decent for issue collectors but not so much for trade collectors. The guy behind the counter also just stares at you constantly while youre checking out the place, its like he makes you feel like if youre not a regular or if youre not gonna buy something, then get out.

Really down-to-earth people. Honest and give you fair pricing for your collection. Highly recommend!

We normally go to the Collingwood location but this is closer and we figured we would check it out since we have not been since they moved. We couldnt have felt more unwelcome. We walked in and said hello and were ignored. I asked if they had any more back copies and I got a nah back while he went back to socializing(shortly thereafter I found there was a whole other room of back copies). The employees wife or girlfriend sat with her arms crossed watching us, even got up off her chair to look at us looking at back copies in the other room. We were clearly interfering with their social time and since we were not regulars we were not worth their time. As soon as we left my husband and I looked at each other and agreed to never return to that location. Its a shame because it really is minutes from my house, but I refuse to give money to people like that.
