I went to many local lighting places and Capitol Lighting is by far the best! They have the greatest selection and atmosphere. Plus, Lorrie Herr is the absolutely best salesperson we encountered. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and was able to find me incredible lighting fixtures for my entire home!

We went to the Eatontown store today and left due to ZERO professionalism and customer service! My wife and I were in the store for about 20 mins, did 2 full rounds of the entire store and not one employee acknowledged us or asked us if we needed help. Some were busy with other customers but others were just sitting at their desks and couldn’t care less. Even the ones helping other customers walked by us a few times but had no courtesy to say hello. Would not go there again or give them any business!!

The selection at Capitol lighting is amazing. The prices are great and the staff is equally as amazing. I highly recommend. I needed a lot of lighting and ended up buying all of my light fixtures here because of the wonderful selection and people.

After searching on several lighting company sites, I called Capital Lighting to inquire about some lamps. It didn’t specify with the “standard shipping“ how long they might take to deliver. My daughter is getting married in a few weeks, and I wanted to have them for the celebration. Jane Miles, one of the associates, took my order and assured me they would get here on time. TWO DAYS LATER, she took time to personally call me to follow up and let me know that I would receive the lamps within the week. I was SO appreciative, and she truly cared about my concern. I visited Capitol Lighting in Eatontown, NJ. It was 35+ miles from my house but I wanted to see ceiling fans LIVE, not in online photos. What initially seemed as a risk, considering the distance, turned out to be a super successful experience. The assistance I received was extraordinary. Not only did I receive help figuring out what I needed but I got great design ideas as well. I am so very happy that I made that trip!

Kristi truly took the time to understand our style and needs before making any recommendations. We never felt like we being sold to rather it was all about finding the right lighting solutions for our home. We ended up buying several pieces and couldn’t be happier.

I wish I could say I had a good experience with them but so far no help. I ordered a beautiful chandallier and they sent the wrong one. Its been two weeks now since reordering and it is no where to be seen. I keep getting the run around, customer service argued I received the order already and it was actually delivered to a North Jersey store instead. Wish I didnt like the fixture so much. I wont use them again.

I had an outstanding experience at Capital Lighting! 8 months ago I met with Lorrie and we discussed several options for the large ceiling fan I was considering purchasing. This week I decided to move forward on purchasing a fan and went back to see Lorrie.I didn’t remember some of the options and details we initially discussed. If you need light they got it! If youre looking for the dark though, they are in short supply, literally lights everywhere! I complained to the manager about this because I asked if they had anything dark on display and some guy opened the utility closet. Which, dont get me wrong; it was dark, but then the guy eventually flipped on a switch because I couldnt see the price for the darkness and on another light went. Positive note; darkness was free with the purchase of $20 or more during the black Friday sale! Booyah!

Excellent accurate prompt service from Robert at Capitol lighting. Im an hour away but received accurate knowledgeable confident advice when I cold called them after manufacturer couldnt help me. Robert spent 15 minutes checking specs and comparable stock to my discontinued brand needed for a high end kitchen . Price was good, included shipping, and arrived in two days. I am redoing my master bedroom closet and went to Capital Lighting looking for a mini chandelier. I was lucky enough to have Lorrie help me. She explained why a mini chandelier might not be the best choice for a closet and showed me other available options. She helped me choose a beautiful light fixture more appropriate for a closet (no less fancy! Maybe more so!). My contractor just installed it and it is perfect.I am so happy that I took the time to go into the store and see what was available and what would work instead of ordering from an internet site where I would have picked something that might have turned out to be unworkable.They also stock just the right light bulbs for each fixture and sell them at reasonable prices. It is worth the trip. You will not be disappointed.

I came in not as a DIY customer, but as a NEW customer eager to learn about products. My family and I received no help from the young girl who was chain smoking cigarettes every 5 minutes whilst arguing with her boyfriend on the phone in front of the general public. The same girl who brought her personal issues to work nearly killed my family and others performing an illegal turn out of the store parking lot and had no respect for human life even her own. As for the shopping experience, my family and I were left unattended the entire staff from the older women to the drama queen there was absolutely ZERO professionalism. I suggest upper management trains their employees adequately.

I came in looking for wall sconces but clueless abut what I wanted. Lorrie greeted me cheerfully and was so very helpful. She listened to what I liked and we found lovely sconces. She even took the time to find the right lightbulbs too!! Will come here for all my lighting needs. I love their fixtures!!!

Ive had two great experiences with their Sales Manager, Tony Antenna. The first was when we remodeled our kitchen. and he came to our house for a consultation. Though he did sell us two fixtures, he suggested merely painting the base around a third one (which we did) to avoid the expense of replacing it.Our second exemplary experience with Tony was recently when one of the rings supporting the glass on a fixture fell and shattered after a retaining ring fractured while replacing a light bulb. Tony said the ring was a standard item and replaced it without cost. He also priced the glass and because he could not match an online price, suggested that we pursue it (instead of strong-arming us into a Capital Lighting one).Tonys honesty, knowledge and sincerity are unusual these days, and the reason I consider Capital Lighting my go to place for anything related to lighting.
