We have used Tru-lock for multiple services over several years. They have an incredible, knowledgeable professional staff. They have had to open our home and cars on more than one occasion when we’ve locked ourselves out, and they have very quick response times. Tru-lock has now installed security systems in two homes we’ve owned in Eau Claire. Too many people go for the cheaper installs without realizing they are paying more in the long run with the monitoring. Years ago we made this mistake, and we now know you get what you pay for. I could not recommend this company highly enough! Great customer service, competitive prices, and quality work!!

Very pleased. She first straightened my bent motorcycle key. Then cut me two keys. In and out in about 10 minutes. Fair price.

So last weekend I lost my car keys at rock fest in cadott wi, after AAA let me down with the tow(waited hours no contact) I reluctantly called these fine folks for thier services. Jesse showed up eager to get us on our way, dude is good for conversation to help pass the time. After a while he had to call in help, 2wice... 1st guy couldnt help, much... Left after busting jesses chops on the current job difficulty(a Pontiac grand prix), he called in the man the owner to come help out. After he showed up they banged it out real quick, cut me a key redid my ignition (for no extra charge) and gave me a free extra key... Most would say locksmiths overcharge for what they do, but after my experience they are well worth the fee considering the alternatives a city boy has in the stix of Wisconsin. And if you have to call anyone to help with Locksmith services, call these fine folks. Thanks again for all you do. Would highly recommend.

Tru Lock is Awesome! First of all, the locks are really high quality and their software enables me to assist tenants who are locked out from my home instead of driving all the way back to work. Second, the professionalism, respect, and empathy shown by each employee I have worked with from Tru Lock is unprecedented. Mark Kelsey always returns my calls promptly and helps me when I get stuck on an issue. Im super impressed and will always recommend Tru Lock.

Very friendly and fast service! The only thing that was difficult is that on google they are listed as being open 24 hours- which made me go there once when it was closed. The real opening hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM-5:30PM

They went above and beyond to help me with getting new keys for my car, the only key I had was extremely worn and not working well in my ignition. I was originally going to go through my dealership but my dealership refused to make me new keys without doing a diagnostic first. I knew it was only the key that was the problem and did not want to have to spend an additional $75 to have diagnostics done. I came to Trulock and they were able to get me two new keys at a really good price and very fast. Customer service there is amazing and I highly recommend them to everyone!

They are great! They went above and beyond to cut and program an aftermarket key for my car. I couldnt be happier with the service.

Never fixed the lock from the initial service call--only rigged up (by cutting/shaving it down..) 1 of the 5 keys to work with the defective lock. Came back unannounced few months later demanding payment. Fairly confrontational about it. We asked they actually complete the work and wed have no prob paying. Eventually became reasonable about the situation and agreed to finish the job. Giving them an extra star since they eventually completed the work although could have been completed in a far more professional manner. Id recommend a different service in the area with more integrity and professionalism.

Incredibly impressed with this place and the customer service. I had them make two new keys for my vehicles. When I bought my Toyota, I was told by the dealer it was a transponder key. I brought my keys to Tru-Lock to have duplicates made and as it turns out some Toyota vehicles of that model year did not have transponder keys. While most most shops would have gladly made me a transponder key as I requested, Tru-Lock was honest and told me to go with a basic key. The transponder key for my model year Toyota would have cost $105. Thanks to Tru-Lock, I was able to leave with a key costing $4. Great customer service, and sales representatives. Highly recommended.

Summary: Due to my horrible experience with Trulock, I do NOT recommend this company and would suggest you go to a dealer, or anywhere else, for a quality item at a much better price. The arrogance displayed by this father-son shop, coupled with horrible customer service, was one I will never forget. If you would like a detailed description of the event, reference the recap below.I initially heard about TruLock via online review and made use of their services when I found myself locked out of my vehicle and did not want to have to call a tow truck to tow my vehicle to the dealer. This was a horrible mistake, as what I experienced at TruLock with both the owner and son was completely unacceptable.After being quoted $300 for them to come out and make me two new keys, I agreed, trusting that the service would be great. I picked my keys up from their shop after work. The next day when I attempted to open my car door, the ‘fit’ was horrible. For the driver side door and trunk lock, the key would only fit in half way, and after a struggle, I was able to insert the key in the passenger door, opening the vehicle.I immediately informed the Trulock technician of this situation, and they refused to acknowledge any problem with their cut of the key. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with the representative, in which he indicated to me various times that I was in the wrong, his keys where of the greatest quality, that I should take lubricant and apply it to my locks, and push the key into the locks repeatedly to wear the key down so it would ‘fit’. We ended the call by agreeing he would come to my work on Monday and resolve the issue.Little did I know that his idea of resolving the issue, was applying lubricant on the locks and jamming the key in repeatedly, in order to wear down the key. I voiced my concerns about them damaging my lock cylinders, they ignored me once again, telling me he knew what he was doing and continued to force the key into the lock, though I had asked him not to. The arrogance that the technicians displayed was absolutely ridiculous and finally ended with them requesting that I bring my car in to their shop, again, so they could resolve this issue.I decided to obtain a second opinion, and when I brought it into the dealership, the technician clearly indicated that the key was not cut correctly, and while it fit the ignition fine, none of the door cylinders would properly seat the key due to their machine not being able to cut the correct width that would match that of the original Honda key.It was at this point that I decided to purchase one key from the Honda dealership. They charged me $125, and the key fit perfectly in all doors and ignition. I informed Trulock of this situation and requested a refund, they refused to provide me with one arguing with me that they spent significant time cutting the key and that if I would have had my car towed it would have cost ‘a lot’. They refused to give me any money back for keys that did not work as intended. As I felt trapped, unable to do anything unless I took them to small claims court, which I don’t have the time or resources for, being a full time single mom. I agreed to let them cut two more keys using the dealership key as a template.The two keys work, but do not ‘fit’ as well as the key from the dealer, and after many discussions, hours upon hours of pleading with them, the situation came to a close, I received two ‘okay’ keys, and $85 refund of the $300, and finally one apology, for my stress, not his behavior…I would not recommend this company, and I am extremely disappointed with how this small business conducted itself.
