This place is amazing!!! Full, huge supply, clean, very friendly, well organized, a group of knowledgeable people make and female demonstrating how to play Pathfinders 🙃 I brought a client in that asked questions and the friendly group stopped what they were doing to help this client with all of his questions 😁 Client even found out a comic book he has at home is surprisingly worth a lot of money 😁 Door was open on a Sunday for an inviting feeling. GREAT EXPERIENCE 😁 Will be back😁

Ive recently started to frequent this location and the staff is more than willing to assist with trades and make recommendations. They offer different game nights during the week ranging from Magic to Warhammer. They are beginner friendly to games as well so thats always a plus!

Greatest store I have ever frequented! The owner is an amazing guy and always helps people find what they want in the shop! Great place to play Magic and the only place in town to play Warhammer 40k, Marvel Crisis protocol and other games that need big tables and dont even get me started with how awesome the gaming tables are! Wow! Im from out of town and wanted to check out a local shop just to see a new LCS and browse. The guy behind the counter was fun to talk to, knowledgeable and very friendly. I ended up finding a key issue that Id been looking for for years at a reasonable price and bought it! I loved the size and set up of the shop as well as the variety of inventory. Comics (graded/raw/collected editions), games, original art, figures, tables for gaming etc. This is a legit shop!

I walked in to buy a card game called Magic. I was fairly new to the game and the store owner had helped me with understanding the game and which things to buy. Awesome place and respectable people.

Overcharged $300 each on 2 cases of Pokemon Booster Boxes. Before I had knowledge of what they were suppose to be priced at they were able to hook, line, and catch. $1086 for a case that other shops charge $784? Like come on....never will go there again.

I heard great things about the store and staff, but felt like I wasn’t wanted in there when I asked for info and availability on a specific comic. The worker just sat there, said they didn’t know, and stared at me wary and disdainful until I left the store. Was treated like I walked into someone’s house and intruded upon a private discussion they were having.The impression I get is that they are friendly to those they can tell are big hobbyists, but newcomers and those who are clearly ignorant about comics aren’t given the time of day. Still check them out, it could’ve just been a bad day for the 1 worker I encountered and its worth supporting local hobby shops, especially one with a great selection. My friends have great experiences here, so try it out anyway.

Amazing and friendly service in person and over the phone. I visited their shop during September of 2019 and everyone there was hardworking and friendly. They had an amazing selection of Warhammer 40,000 models and a great Warhammer community when I was there last. I recently called them about shipping a few metal models to my place 3 hours away from them and Chris, and Tim did very well over the phone to make it happen. Thanks guys!

Omg that was amazing ok first of all amazing selection of comics they have comics from marvel to call of duty and the staff are amazing and they seem like they love their job they have pretty good prices and the atmosphere is amazing it looks cluttered but I like the cluttered look 5 star place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a fantastic place, everyones super helpful whether youre looking to get into a new hobby or supplement a hobby youre already into or youre looking to add to your comic book collection or other collectibles. They probably have what youre looking for and if not theyll go out of their way to help you find it. Or if you just want a place to go and play some games with some good people stop in.

The owner, Chris, is a million bucks. Very friendly and knowledgeable about all things relevant in the store. He has always offered me fair prices on all trading cards; very transparent.

Clairemont Comics is a very cozy store. Ive been going there weekly for D&D for a few months now and I really like it. The owner is nice and the other customers are nice in my experience too. The store also has a large variety of comics, tabletop card games, and D&D merchandise for sale too. Id recommend you give the place a visit sometime if youre into nerdy things and get a chance. :)

I havnt been here at all but I just have a few questions. Do they buy cards from people? I have hundreds of old sport cards and Pokémon cards that my friend gave to my son a few years back when he was into those things and now he doesn’t like the cards and I would like to sell them. My second question is if not who/ what company would buy the cards without scamming me?

Much like the Ford Theatre back in 1865, this place will blow your mind. Theyve got anything and everything you could ever want, if the only things you want are sweet comics, cards, and collectables. Great selection and a witty, likable staff? Yes folks, were not just talking a normal nerd shop, were talking an experience -nay- a tour de force that will leave even your grandpa facetiming you to tell you about a new shop thats the bees knees.Seriously though Grandpa, I love ya but I got games to play down on Fairfax, you can just message me that stuff.Only criticism, work on the milkshakes, that area was lacking.

The only real game store in EC as far as I can tell.Updating my review after being back a few times:The store staff are very friendly and helpful, which is all too rare with local game stores around the country. A lot of game and comic shops ignore you unless you ask for help. Im always greeted when I come in usually asked if Im looking for something particular. On my last visit they gave me a free beverage for purchasing over $50 worth, apparently a new perk.Itd be nice if they had a greater selection of D&D minis, but I realize Im there for one niche and they cater to a wide range of hobbies in a limited amount of space.Definitely a good store that I hope can some day expand to a larger space to carry more product without cluttering up the shop.

Its a great place to find extremely well priced cards as well as comic books. The new location is absolutely massive and even more beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and always willing to stop what theyre doing and help you out but at the same token understand a lot of people are there to browse or hang out and will leave you alone.

Everyone’s been really nice and helpful. As a relative new person to MTG, tabletop RPGs, and comics, they’re very patient and understanding answering all my questions and giving me information I may not have even thought of. Bonus points that they’re also involved in the community!

Just went in for the first time, the guys there were helpful and have no problem ordering comics or games for me. If you set up a pull for specific comics you even get a discount off cover price. Im glad I found a good place to get comics and maybe get back into MTG.

Not sure what other reviewers are referring to with descriptions of unhelpful or dismissive staff. The owner and staff are always helpful, and make sure I have what I need right after I walk in the door. You can see the passion the owner has for his products, whether its comics or miniatures.

This store has a large variety of everything. Comics, like the name suggests, but also MTG, Warhammer, X-wing, Pathfinder and so much more including Funko Pops. Chris the owner is extremely helpful. This store has a great atmosphere as well and hosts many different events during the week and weekend.

This place is great Its really your classic Comic book and gaming store minus any pretentious/elitist over tones. Clairemont Comics seen different ownership and management over the last couple of decades and Its current Iteration Is by far the best.

Best gaming store in Eau Claire!Ive been coming here and playing Magic for about three years now and its always a great time! Generous prize support, great people and atmosphere! There always seems to be people playing board games, rpgs, warhammer 40k or magic and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about every type of game out there. I think were fortunate as a city to have Chris and Chromie there to help us out and to provide such an excellent venue to game in!
