They do not sell to anyone that does not have an account with them that has to get approved by the manager with a minimum of 500 spend. Really good business practice. Guess what you can order online tho.

Why have a brick and mortar store complete with store hours if youre going to lock the front doors before the end of the day and turn away paying customers? I was forced to knock on the door DURING store hours, just so an employee could tell me to purchase supplies online, while he kept me standing on the sidewalk in sub zero temperatures.Also, they dont advertise this, but apparently they only sell wholesale. Im not sure why they have single products lining the shelves of their store, but know before you go that its a waste of your time. The employee made it very clear that my only option was to purchase their product online.Fastenal must be operating just fine with the customer base they already have, and have no interest in working with any new customers. I will be actively discouraging those I know not to do business with this company.

As late they only do accounts so I can’t walk in and buy something.... terrible business idea when your customers need tools and hardware now you need to be available.

The fact that they decided to decline service to the small local clients show you how low of customer service they have. I work for a local business that does considerable amount of business with fastenal, however I will always buy from other vendors (mostly McMaster-Carr) just because of this poor business choice.

Large selection. Staff willing to problem solve what you are looking for. Typically anything can be shipped within 1-2 days.
