Barnes & Noble in EP is always comforting to go to. It is not overly packed so browsing is a breeze and I usually can find what I am looking for right away. Plus staff is timely and helpful, also a great spot to draw.

I mean its Barnes & Noble so get what you expect. They have every possible book you could imagine. This particular location is very clean and orderly. I usually buy books online but if youre going to get books in person, you should go here.

My daughter and I stopped at this location to purchase a sketch book. When we entered we didnt know where to look for it. Then, we saw this young lady working there and when we asked her where the sketch books could be located, she was happy to help us and took us all the way to the sketch books aisle which were far from her location and she was carrying books. Nice service!

Barnes & Noble is awesome. My 3 kids are into about five genres, of literature, each. B & N has everything they wanted.

The staff were very helpful and polite, they helped my friend find all of his books. Their knowledge of the store and placement of obscure books was amazing.

I love this Barnes and Noble location so much! Im not much of a huge reader, but this store makes me more of one! From the coffee shop to having lots of different selections as well as games to purchase, it honestly is worth spending the time in the store. My most recent purchase was a beautified version of God and Heroes of Ancient Greece with the gold pages and the full leather cover. They have more beautified books as well, which are personally my favorite!

Had the book I wanted as well a good selection of Christian books, finding that to be less and less.

I went in to cancel my yearly membership but ended up purchasing many things. There is a great section of books on sale. They also had many versions of what I was looking for in particular. Have everything youre searching for and its fun to explore new books. Staff was super knowledgeable, helpful and kind. I like going to the store much more than online. Plus I got a free cookie with my purchase receipt for the in store starbucks.

My family has always enjoyed walking through Barnes & Noble stores. We havent been to this store in over a year so we had to familiarize ourselves with the different layout and ask for directions a couple of times. Seems like all stores I end up asking where such and such a book is, because it would seem to be quicker to ask than to try to find it myself. Staff are always kind when helping locate books even if the book isnt in the spot it should be. Minus 1 star for the frustration of trying to find books.

We bought 5 books, it is hard to shoulder the prices but I want my kid to be smart.

The employees at this location were unbelievably rude for no reason. if you goto this location do not ask the employees for help, goto another location if you plan on asking questions.

The store was neat and well stocked. It was difficult to get a hold of any staff for questions. The prices also seemed a bit high when when you can buy an electronic version of most books for half the price.

The store was well kept and everything was organized. I didnt have any trouble finding what I was looking. Also nothing looked out of place, but Ive only been there once so I cant speak for it always being like that (thats why 4 stars instead of 5). The experience I had was good though and so I dont mind going again to that location. If its consistently like that and they have good service then the 4 would become a 5.

I went to this store because they were the only store in town that had an obscure game I was looking for. We couldnt find it out on the floor but the staff searched high and low and found it hidden in the back. They were all so nice about it and didnt give up looking. They went above and beyond!!! This Barnes and Noble is very well-organized and well-lit. I love the large windows in the cafe which really let in the natural light when you are sitting in the comfortable chairs, reading a book and sipping some of the delicious coffee from the Starbucks.

Got a movie for a decent price as well as a book. Of course books run a bit higher in price but theyre worth it.

I visited the store today 12/17/2020. We are at the middle of a global pandemic, there is a state mandate requiring people to wear a mask at all times indoor, yet some customers walk around the store without their masks on, putting all employees and customers at risk. The employees do not interfere and do not call the police to escort the violators out of the store.I understand it is not easy to confront people but the mask is mandated by the state, and most of all recommended by the CDC and health experts around the world to save lives. It is high time that corporations stopped interpreting which laws / rules they want to follow and started falling in line with the government.The thing is, corporations like Barnes and nobles and many others, think they can squeeze more revenue / profit by not escorting out law violators but is it really in the companys best interest to be seen as disregarding human life and laws in favor of revenue? Not to mention for every violator that you allow to stay and shop, you will lose another customer like me who does not want to risk their lives shopping in an unsafe environment.

This is a nice Barnes & Noble attached to the mall. They have lots of space and a nice cafe as well. They carry lots of games and bicycle playing cards. generally easy to get parking fairly close to the door.

Barnes and noble us a perfect place to spend an afternoon when its raining or snowy or cold or whatever. There is a great deal of titles and a coffee shop. Ive always had a good experience with the employees they all seem knowledgeable about the authors I have asked about. Theres a great section for gifts and a huge childrens section as well. Uptown location seems better for quiet studying whereas Eden Prairie seems like it would be better with a friend. Not to say it wouldnt be good for study time as well

In these days of all things digital, theres nothing like walking into a bookstore. So many amazing things to see.... I could spend all day just wandering. Unfortunately I didnt have all day but I did score jigsaw puzzles BOGO 50% (which I spent the weekend doing with my teens, no screens required!) as well as several books and other whatnot to put a spring in my step. A trip well spent!

I love bookstores! Theyve done a great job of creating an inviting, comfortable space that it is easy to wind up spending an hour or more in. The cafe is nice, not as cramped as some Barnes and Noble cafes. They also have a good variety of games, puzzles and even toys and collectibles. Their kids area is great as well. Our kids love to explore and browse and its easy to let them do that without losing track of them. Prices are reasonable, although Id be more tempted to become a member if they would drop the fee, which would result in my buying from them more often rather than going to Amazon or elsewhere. All in all, a great store.

I went there with my brother Dan. I ventured off on my own in search for some poetry. Soon, I found the section, which, by the way, is toward the music, then take a right; and then head down to a small half section on the left. This is the poetry section. I started off with some Mary Oliver. NEED I SAY MORE? SPLENDID. Once I returned to planet earth, I caught the cover out of the corner of my eyes. I felt fear because the last time I saw that cover I was near death. It is my favorite book The Essential Rumi. I read some excerpts and felt safe and sound. It felt like home. It felt like home.

I like this B & N a lot! A lot of chairs and tables. A nice Cafe. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of books and magazines. The layout makes it easy to find what youre looking for. I cant stress enough how nice it is to have chairs and tables so you can browse through a lot of books without standing up to do it. That alone makes me want to come back!

A great B&N location, with easy access and friendly staff. Drawback is stack density: it can be hard to find the exact title youre looking for. The Edina location does a great job of this.

This is a great spot to meet friends at to hang out with. If you get there early, check out the books and gifts sap youre not sitting around bored waiting for your friends. Love the cafe as it is a friendly atmosphere with a private feel.

Would have been 5 stars except for the extremely slowwww checkout. After waiting a bit I checked my watch then proceeded to wait another 10 min. There was only one cashier, I believe she asked for assistance. But I love books so I will be back.

Always good service. I miss the chairs they used to have scattered through the store so you could sit and read. Still a great place with a friendly and knowledgable staff.

Terrible. I went to the customer service counter and the young lady was talking small talk to another individual. She didnt even look over to acknowledge to tell me itll be a few minutes. Finally a tall thin gentleman came by and I asked him the question and he took me over to the area that had the book titles I wanted. He was very nice, when I took my selections up to the cash register I stood in line for 22 minutes. The guy behind the counter kept talking and having trouble getting a transaction to work, something about the Disco not being applied. When he was finally done the next person in front of me got in line and she had two credit cards. She wanted to split the sale and the gentleman behind the counter again took way too long to complete this finally I just had to leave I cannot stand in line for 22 minutes to wait to be waited on. is there nobody else in the store to run registers accept one person?? You lost the sale, and a customer and I will not be going back I realize this is shouting iat the Thunder but it should not take almost 25 minutes to ring up two people. Maybe you need to schedule another person to run the cash register during the daytime especially during this time of year. Good day

Nice corporate place to read, shop, and snack. However, they quite inappropriately, ask for an email address, from children, a piece of information we tell our children NOT to give to strangers. Why? What are they thinking. Would you want your child to give out their street address to a stranger?

I had a wonderful time in the Barnes and Noble Eden Prairie store.I wanted to take back to India, sweet memories of my stay in Eden Prairie.The staff asked me about my liking and quickly suggested some appropriate literature.Special thanks to Megan. Shes very knowledgeable and could predict what I wanted and eventually helped me with the selection. She even suggested some places for sightseeing. Love this place. The staff are always cheerful and extremely helpful. And knowledgeable. Great selection. Lots of good stuff for kiddos too. Each time Ive been there the checkout lines have been fast. The store is kept clean and tidy, as well as the bathrooms.

I love being in a bookstore. The entire experience is always a delight. After having been to so many wonderful independent book stores in recent years, I forgot how confusing it was to shop at Barnes and Noble. The way the store is configured it seems as though they are more Interested in selling toys and games then in selling books. The store was virtually deserted, the only area that contained customers was the coffee shop. It seems that they have conceded the business of selling books to online sites.

I always have a good experience at B&N in Eden Prairie. The staff is very friendly and gives good recommendations for books I havent thought of before. And if they dont have a book in store, they offer a few ways to get it to me quickly, which I appreciate. Plus the store has great merchandise. I can do all of my gift shopping there!

B & N at the Eden Prairie Mall is a huge store. Great kids area, 1000s of books, family games! Love this store. More expensive than Amazon, but if you need a gift, this is the place!

This store is awesome. They have books of all kinds as well as legos, kids toys, educational stuff, and crafts. There are also magazines and coloring books. This store has a kids section and a cafe inside it, and it is attached to the shopping mall, making it easy to get to.

Went in to find a book. Could not find it on the shelves myself. I went to the help desk and was approached by a staff member in about 30 seconds, and they helped me to find my book quickly, as well as recommended books in the same genre to check out.

Concerned about placement of sexual books right by cookbooks. Is there a standard so youth are not able to see explicit materials in hands reach? Staff is helpful. Consider placing porn books elsewhere.

Great place to read, check on new books, have a coffee. They have toys and games for the kids. Its a perfect place to pick a gift or just spend time

The movies and music section is so organized. Also any magazine you could ever want. They have recently started releasing classics with new covers over and over so if you want English class fiction youre in luck. More obscure stuff is harder to find.

I go here for coffee with my friend Kevin often, great service. The manager is great and we always talk about how our kids love the WWE.

You always have to wait in line to get help finding books and they always try to get you to purchase a membership for discounts. They have a decent selection in the store. I love going to the store to get books vs buying online. Unfortunately their business model is going to cause them to close. They do not price match their books to their online store. If you want something, its better to go online and have it delivered straight to your house. Otherwise, its a good store if you cant wait for delivery.

Pretty decent store. My only complaint is that under the religion section, there were only Christian books. There are a heck of a lot more religions outside of Christianity and I feel like it excludes a lot of people.

I like this place, there is something about picking up a book and turning a few pages before you buy it. Good selection in a lot of topics. Sometimes a little confusing to understand how the subjects are organized but always good friendly help.
