I just had a remote start put in and everything works great and I’m very happy with the product and the work they did. I would have gave 5 stars but when I got my quote online there was nothing about labor costs to remove an old remote start system. I wish they would have had an option to put that in because the cost was more then I expected. Other then that I was very happy!

First and foremost, the way the website is set up is amazing. Select your vehicle, the system you want installed, then they give you an out the door price of what it will cost. Opt to go with them and you can schedule install online right from there. That is hands down an awesome setup. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick I was able to get an appointment this time of year (beginning of winter). They got me in for install within 2 weeks. Install day was a cake walk as well. I dropped both sets of keys in their convenient outside drop box at 9 am and walked about 3/4 mile down Flying Cloud Drive to the nearest coffee shop to have a cup of coffee while I waited. About 2 hours later, I got a call saying they were already finished. Excellent install time. Once I walked back to pick it up, they did a complete walk through of what they did and showed me thoroughly how the new system worked. Lastly, I received a follow-up email a few days later with an electronic version of the owners manual, as well as a check-in to make sure I was satisfied. I can definitely say I am w100% satisfied with the entire experience with this company and will most certainly recommend to friends and family.

Had a remote start installed. Paid over 600 dollars for it. Told me he couldnt add rear defroster to the Viper unit because of a wiring glitch. Found a competitor that hooked it up in less than 25 minutes. Called to see if he would resolve before leaving the negative feedback. Calls went unanswered. Take your business elsewhere if you want a fair price, good customer service, and a person that can do the job correctly the first time. Buyer beware! Response to owner..... 12/5/19. Its amazing that you have the time to reply online when you claim that youre booked for three weeks, but you dont have any time to call. Why would anyone trust you even for warranty work when another authorized Viper dealer finished what you couldnt do. The guy who answers your phones and takes the payment said wiring glitch when he came to tell me that you the installer and/or owner couldnt get the job done. I would rather take the system out of the truck and start all over before I would trust you to work on any other vehicle that I own. Your long-winded reply is nothing more than an excuse to try and deter customers from thinking that its the customer who is wrong here. Just because you can make a car start doesnt make you a professional in the industry. Proper customer service and satisfaction is where its at. You could have avoided the truth about your shortcomings if you had the decency to contact me back prior to any negative comments being left about your poor performance. I never said anything about 25 dollars in my review, it clearly stated 25 minutes to complete the task at hand. Even though you didnt charge me for this service, you said that it couldnt be done when it very well could be completed. Be a man and just tell people that you are unfamiliar with the procedure, and dont lie to them. Honesty goes a long way.

Ive had my Smart Start for just over a year now. The original install was very professional, Matt and his crew are top notch. They were patient and went over all the details with me, and did a great job scheduling and installing the hardware. I highly recommend them for your remote start needs. I only needed a simple remote start for my Subaru, and these guys delivered. Ben was very helpful in showing me how the remote start system I purchased work. I originally bought a different model, but they upgraded me to a Viper version of it. The Viper version had a lifetime warranty on it compared to the one I initially bought. The only con I have is the work took more than than a few hours, but maybe they were busy, etc. Im not sure. My car was dropped off 10AM and we got a call that my car was ready for pick-up at around 5PM. Thats the only con I have. That is the only reason for taking off one star in this review. Overall, they did a great job and was pleased. The remote start really helps a lot in pre-cooling the interior during hot summer days, and I cant wait to test it out for the really nasty winters here in Minnesota. Thanks Remote Start MN!

We have installed remote start on cars from here twice. The service is good and they provide warranty. The only thing is its bit costly and they dont provide any discounts. Before taking appointment they will email you saying that they will provide discounts in the final bill. Once you reach there its like no discounts. Other than the price its overall good.

Had an automatic start installed on my Expedition here about a year ago. Never had any issues and it worked great. I would definitely recommend Matt; he specializes in remote starters and its not something you want to try to install yourself or at a big box store where the staff doesnt know what theyre doing.

I had the basic remote start system, which utilizes the factory key fob, installed on my 2008 Jeep about a month ago. Setting up the appointment was easy and the quote through the website was accurate. Matt was professional, friendly, and so far my system works perfectly. I put new batteries in my key fob and can start the Jeep from about two blocks away line of sight... otherwise there is no problem starting from in my apartment when parked on the street. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Ill be back to upgrade to the 2-way remote. Matt builds and flies drones too... awesome.

MN Remote Start was extremely professional and friendly. They welcomed you, the processing was smooth and easy and the actual install only took 1.5 hours. They couldn’t do the trunk release feature but they not only explained why, they gave us a way of doing it which required running a wire through the vehicle. We didn’t get charged for that.This entire experience was very pleasant and I would completely go back to them for other services. My wife is completely satisfied with not only the experience, but the Viper 4602 model remote start. Probably the easiest car related transaction Ive ever had. They gave me a good deal on my remote starter, promptly installed it, sent me the owners manual, and told me that theyd help me with any issues I had in the future.

These guys are great! I walked in later in the day, probably around 5:00… They were wrapping up with a customer at the counter, so a younger guy came out from the shop to help me. He spent about 5 minutes looking at the existing system in my car that wasnt working (they didnt install it, but are a manufacturers service center), he then reprogramed it, and showed me how to use it. I asked him what I owed for the help and he said “don’t worry about it” with a smile. If they treat someone walking in off the street that well, I can only imagine how well they treat people purchasing items from them. Customer service like that doesn’t happen by accident, its clearly part of who they are!The next time I’m in the market for a product they offer I will be purchasing it from them!

I was looking for a remote start for a Honda CRV and had several options identified and couldnt decide, so I called Matt. He walked me through the pros and cons of each type of remote start and made a third suggestion that I hadnt considered, which I ultimately chose. Once I had everything selected I scheduled my appointment right there on the website. This type of self service prevents miscommunication that can occur over the phone and saves Matt a bunch of time so he can spend it performing and supervising installations. The installation was done while I waited in the simple yet comfortable waiting area. After the installation was done, Matt took the time to explain the system to me and answer all the questions I had. After I left, I opened the dash where he said the unit was installed and couldnt tell the aftermarket parts from the OEM, so I would say that the installation was neat and tidy. In the realm of automotive electronics there is a huge range of skill from the high school kid just killing time with other things on his/her mind to a true professional that takes pride in his/her work. DATE OF INSTALL 4 December 2018Lets get the ugly part out of the way first shall we? I put .25 cents in the candy machine to get some SPREEs and the machine gave me nothing!! CURSES!!Now onto the real review. After some research and review reading, I chose to do business with Remote Start MN. Their website (which is a touch on the cumbersome side ONLY because I check and re-check and then change decisions about 100 times) lets you put in your vehicle info and then gives you a detailed list of exactly what youre buying and how much everything will cost (NO HIDDEN FEES! They know the parts they are going to need). I have read some comments that the staff are not friendly. This is tough, because they were not rude to me, direct (which I think gets misinterpreted as rude) to be sure, but not rude. Maybe they’re not, hey, lets go have a beer friendly. But I dont expect them to be able to tell me with pinpoint accuracy something without knowing all the facts, thats why they have their website ask you for all the data.You put a $20 deposit down and that is credited to your final total and pick the date that is going to work for you.I stopped in tonight a little early. Was greeted by Matt (I think hes the owner. Super nice guy and VERY helpful) and we talked about the package I had ordered. He asked if I was going to have need for all of the functions with the starter I picked. I said no. In that case for a little less the basic model does everything the LED one does and is a little smaller, but loses none of the functions that were important to me. True to his word, it does. Only saved me about $10 but that was pretty cool that he was open enough to do that. Second thing. I asked if he put the Anti-Grind feature in that I requested. He stated no (I would love to tell you the reason, but frankly if I understood what he said, I would have put the remote start in myself. Bear in mind, Im electrically challenged, but I understood the fact that he was telling me that it was not in my best interest to do this.) In the end he said you just have to condition yourself to not fully turn it all the way. No problem!Finally, the gentleman working the front desk did something rare. Thanked me for my business. Not a thanks. Thank you for your business, it means a lot to us that you chose us. Amaizing. Customer appreciation. The service was already done, but they took a moment to tell me they appreciated me.Im already planning to go back for a head unit and different speakers. Scheduled appointment and ordered what I wanted right from the website. When I arrived Matt gave an overview of what I was getting and what he was doing. I called for a ball park estimate for installation of a remote start as I was planning to install one in each of my vehicles. Matt informed me that i needed to go online to do so. I asked Matt if he could ball park an estimate or work something out over the phone as I was not by any internet access and wouldnt be so for a while due to travel. Before I could finish my sentence Matt said no and rudely hung up on me. Apparently customer service isnt a priority. I am sad to say I will take my business elsewhere for both vehicles as the next person I called gave me a price over the phone and scheduled my appointment right away.

I was going to get a remote start through Groupon because I thought it was a deal. After researching I found out that none of those shops are really giving you a true deal because there are additional fees at the shop. Not the case with Remote Start MN! The total cost was given up front and was about the same as I would have paid in the end with a Groupon at another shop. I had my car done on a Saturday and he even let me leave it overnight because I had plans. Took the time to show me all the special features when I picked it up.
