The store is very new. But definitely not new to the magic scene.At a first glance when you walk into the store you are immediately greeted by staff where you definitely feel like at home.The store is quite spacious, and the layout is excellent. I love that they kept the board games, cards, and merchandising separate from the play area. They offer cash back for cards and their pricing is pretty spot on too.Commander is on Wednesdays where you can find me and friends playing.

Nice clean store with great staff and prices! Stop in for a board game or magic the gathering cards. I like the pokemon collection! Give me a like if you agree!!!

Buyers beware. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews on this outfit before giving them your money. I wish I did.. Absolute disaster for MTG Double Masters orders. This seller advertised and willingly accepted money from what appears to be a lot of people for Double Masters pre-orders. In some cases, up to several months in advance (June 3rd for me). The seller then failed to deliver upon the product release date claiming distribution and financial/funding issues. Now I am left to wait for my Paypal disputes to hopefully resolve in order to get my $1,200 back. To add insult to injury, the market for buying DM is now rather limited and prices are inflated post release date. How do you take money from people months in advance and then claim you need a bank loan or gap funding so you can buy the product from the distributor upon release? Simple answer.. Poor money management, misappropriation of funds i.e. Robbing Peter to pay Paul or worse. I am not sure if it will do any good for the MTG community as a whole but the Eden Prairie, MN police department is now aware of this company and their so-called business practices. This store offered a great price on a preorder item and it was never fulfilled. Not to be out done, they refunded the money and it has sat pending for weeks. I HIGHLY recommend steering clear of this company. I truly hope someone reads this and gets back to me soon!

I don’t believe they ever intended to ship my MtG VIP Edition Double Masters. Will file for bankruptcy soon. Don’t trust this company, their “updates” were laughable lies. Usually PayPal or CC will protect you; but don’t be caught holding the ball when this garbage establishment fails!

I made a purchase online, received confirmation immediately, and a thank you from the staff the next day. They also answered a question promptly via email. Pre-ordered Jumpstart and while they acknowledged that it would come in waves, I believed them. Product was supposed to arrive last week- no tracking information, and I sent them two different emails requesting updates and a refund but have not heard anything back. Never ordering from them again, I wish I would have ordered my product somewhere else.

This is one of my favorite stores. The person who runs it is super friendly and remembers us by name. The overall selection is awesome and the space to play is quite nice too. The singles selection (mtg) is a bit limited however, but not bad. But their options for sleeves, deck boxes, play mats, etc. Is some of the best Ive seen in the Minneapolis areas.

Doors closed. No signs. Dont answer the phone. No way to leave a message. Doesnt answer emails. I get covid... but every place else has been able to come up for air.

Ordered via their eBay store (now a removed account) MTG double masters. Instead of receiving the item, or a full refund, they handed the eBay system by only paying back the item cost, keeping over $30 of shipping and import fees. Which was an item they were selling as a pre order, so they neither had the item in stock (admitted by their own website) nor had to pay any of those fees for items which never shipped.

Called and talked to the manager. He said hed text me or call me back that day about several games I was looking to purchase along with Marvel Champions and several expansions. Never got back to me. Tried calling during business hours a couple days in a row... goes straight to voicemail. And guess what..... voicemail box is full. I give up trying to support this local game shop.

I have not been to the store but I have had the pleasure of dealing with their online store. I must say Dan has made my experience want to keep coming back to do business with them. He is very attentive to emails and making sure I have a great experience. Helped me solve all my issues I had when ordering. They have very competitive pricing and were even willing to match competitors prices. All this and much more, even with the pandemic going on. If they were my LGS I would definitely support them and come in.

This store scammed me out of $330 and despite numerous attempts to contact them and resolve this, despite me having in good faith cancelling my Paypal dispute so we could rectify this, once I did they ceased contact AGAIN and went ahead with creating a tracking number for the order THE DAY AFTER they GUARANTEED me they could cancel and refund me.EDIT 8/25: Weeks later and still no response from these guys. I was going to take this review down as soon as I was refunded since giving feedback/reviews seemed like my only feasible option to get them to respond, but they still havent refunded me for the product they never had or responded at all. Ive decided to leave this up instead.If you are going to buy anything online from this seller please reconsider. GO anywhere else unless you can see what you are buying in your hands.

Like most others preordered 2 boxes of double masters, first email after a few days of no movement on the tracking number and they said it was a supplier issue... just emailed them again asking for answers and magically I have a refund pending in paypal. I love brick and mortars but this is complete trash, at least it looks like Im getting my money back...

If youre looking to buy cards online, this is the company to do it from. Amazing customer service, great prices, and good selection. Even if youre out of state, it feels like a personal experience and I guarantee you wont regret purchasing from them. Placed an online order with the store, it came quickly and they beat the prices of many others. Then I got a surprise in the mail about a month later when they sent me the buy a box promo pack. Never had that happen before normally other stores keep the promos to resell. I have ordered from these folks a few times and never been disappointed, highly recommended.

Friendly staff, really clean shop, and probably the best deals on mtg orders in the city.edit: Im going to keep my score of 5 stars because of all the positive past experiences with Mystical but im saddened and very disappointed right now with how mystical has handled their situation. The initial lack of clarity and continually changing expectations is what frustrates me the most.I understand there are situations that are out of your hands but please give yourself buffer when setting expectations to customers. Continually telling us a date and pulling the rug underneath us is worse than just initially telling us itll take a couple weeks and letting us know if they arrive early.

Im not sure why everyone is giving this store such a bad name. What happened with Double Masters was out of their control. They tried and, unfortunately, didnt succeed. They had TONS of orders to pay back and that takes time. Ive had nothing but good experiences, including with getting a refund, with the store and staff.

I’ve had to file a refund dispute to get my money back from this store. They were unable to fulfill my order despite repeated assurances that they would be able to do so. I had to email and call for 4 days to get a response from them, and when the owner finally responded that they couldn’t fill my order he didn’t even give an option to issue a refund. Now I am having to go through Amazon to get a refund and am not even sure that I will get my money back. Avoid this store, they seem to have massive cash issues and I doubt they will be around for long.

Shipping is insanely fast. Booster boxes are well packaged and have decent prices. I havent had the need to contact support yet since all of my purchases arrived as described. I will be buying more MTG products from this store in the future!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Pre-ordered MTG Double Master Booster Boxes and the product never shipped. They created shipping labels but never sent a package, and likely never intended to. Owner attempted to give a pathetic excuse and assured people they would get refunded. After opening a case and not hearing from the store for a week I had to ask eBay to step in to get my refund. So not only did they fail to fulfill their product because they cant manage a business they are also working to make getting a refund for your money as difficult as possible.AVOID AT ALL COST.

Preordered some cards, and was told they didnt have the funding or inventory necessary to complete the order. Ive had a refund pending from paypal that was just cancelled today, I dont even know if I can get my money back. DO NOT buy anything from them online, waste of time and money.

The company is incredibly dishonest. Poor communication, and what little they did communicate was a plethora of lies and excuses, while ignoring my actual questions of concern. Blanket statements that did not aid me, and were untrue anyway. Do not buy!

As several other reviews have posted below, this store offered preorders for items that it was unable to fulfill. After that, this store issued refunds via PayPal that would stick in pending for 2 weeks only to be cancelled at the last minute. BUYER BEWARE!

First off I was not able to step foot in this store sadly. So my positive experience was from ordering online down to the awesome customer service from Dan the owner to communication. Dan was able to accommodate my preference to ship out my order with UPS. He also kept me updated on my order as well and shipped it out. Plus his rewards system on the website is very awesome by having an account, better then other card shops that I found online. So I give this place 5 stars for the easy online shopping with the rewards system. 5 stars and above to Dan for the awesome customer service. I would definitely buy more stuff from this place.

Ordered double masters they didnt get the stock in they offered me a refund I said ok to it. They sent the refund through PayPal which apparently means nothing until they actually send the money so its been pending for a week and a half and I get no answer through email, phone or Facebook messenger they seem to be scamming people

Because of the terrible communication and lack of updates for weeks, is why Im giving this low grade. They truly ruined their reputation and has now ruined their ebay account. Held money for weeks with no updates. Never again. They should go out of business. DO NOT PRE ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM TILL THEY HAVE THE PRODUCT IN HAND!!!

Ive ordered MTG products several times from Mystical Games through their online store and theyve always delivered. Recently with the Ikoria release there were supply chain and shipping issues that were beyond the control of the store. Even though I had to cancel the order due to the delay, I will gladly continue to shop here again for future releases. Thanks!

Purchased a whole case of VIP double masters to split with a buddy of mine a week after release date (we didn’t know the store was without product we where told they had it in hand), despite knowing they where going to be unable to fill our order they took our money anyway. Now they cancelled our refund and we are having to work hard through PayPal claims to get our money back. If I could leave zero stars I would.

As others have posted here I too ordered a whole sealed case of VIP Masters from them on ebay and they ghosted with my money. Never responded and have given many false stories and blatant lies to their customers about the situation to buy them time. They stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from paying customers to never deliver on the product. To make matters worse they arent even refunding and paypal claims are bouncing. Over 5,000 orders at $80-95 per box then didnt feel the need to even answer to ANY of their customers. STAY AWAY from these guys.

Have ordered with Mystical Games & Collectibles both on eBay and direct on their website. Sometimes they offer great deals, sometimes they hold $1500 of your money for weeks before telling you they don’t have the inventory and cancel your order.

Ordered a booster box in July 2020. It is nearly October with no word from the seller after multiple attempts to contact. Absolute scam. Avoid at all costs.

This store unfortunately had the perfect storm of problems happen at the same time which caused some of the preorders to get cancelled and feelings to get hurt. Dan the owner is the most caring and loyal guy on the planet. Once this blows over definitely give him his business he deserves it. The community would never recover from losing this lgs

Had 2 preorders on their website- they did not respond to contact by email. Their phone rings until it hits voicemail, and the mailbox is full.Sounds like the physcial store is closed, and I think they went out of business. If you have any orders I would recommend doing a chargeback with the payment method you used. They will not contact you back, and will not issue you a refund willingly.

I would avoid pre orders. Im not sure about regular orders on released products, but I pre ordered Double Masters. I got a shipping label and then a month later they said that they were having issues with getting their allocated product. They eventually cancelled. Very frusterating, especially after they hold your money for 1.5 months!

Absolute trash for service and criminal behavior. Took peoples money for preordered products and then spent that money on something else. I pre-ordered a MTG booster box for $289.99 on June 3, 2020. The product released on August 7, 2020 and they were never able to actually buy their order from the supplier. After weeks of waiting, on August 21st, the owner told everyone who pre-ordered that all pre-orders would be refunded.Since this company practices gap funding, they take your pre-order money to buy newly released games, and plan to use future pre-order money to buy what you originally ordered when it comes out. Youre essentially giving this company a short term loan if pre-order from them without a guarantee to get any product.Im in the process of getting a chargeback to my credit card and now the box I originally pre-ordered is going for $320 minimum. This store wasted my time and money.

Ordered 4 booster boxes from their online store. Kept getting delayed. Finally passed their stated shipping deadline for shipping. Never could get a response on my order from the company. Had to file a dispute with PayPal to get my money back after 3 months. They oversold online presales hoping to get inventory. Bad relationship with distributors and creditors. Seems like money for preorders is used to buy one set ahead almost like a pyramid scheme.

I pre ordered double masters VIP from this store and pre paid as well. They mark the order as shipped but nothing has been shipped, there is no tracking, and they do not respond to any messages. I live 25 minutes from the store and can come in to deal with management if necessary. Ive checked their recent eBay feedback and theyve got literally hundreds of negative feedback for this same issue. No communication, no product, and no refunds. Very poor on their end.

Mystical is the place to go to for your gaming needs. Conveniently located just off of Hwy 212 & Mitchell Rd. They have 2 areas: the store section is up front, with a HUGE connected gaming area in the back. Their prices on games & gaming supplies is the best Ive seen when compared to other stores.

Had a disastrous Pre-order experience with them. The other 1(one) star reviews are accurate.I am never shopping from them again.

This company is clearly a fraud. My guess is they don’t have the money to take pre-orders so they take the cash from the pre-orders and then purchase what they need. The product details stated the item would ship 08/07 it is now 08/26 and still no tracking. Also ordered core 2021 bundle boxes with booster packs missing inside. No response from seller. Inept in communication, capitol management and pre-order fulfillments. Negative track record of not delivering on time. Now theyve shorted a large community on product they cant pay for, (even with pre-order money received), cant deliver, and cant refund without waiting 30 days for an e-check to clear on PayPal. The b&m store is ok. The employees were nice enough. The owner,Dan, is unreliable at best and possibly dishonest regarding products in stock and financial responsibility. I know with Covid, everything is extra difficult, but if you take someone’s name and number and promise to call and dont follow up there is an issue. Additionally, if the suggestion is to drive 20 miles with a verbal promise everything will work out and not follow up to let them know things didn’t work out, there is a problem. These interactions are Dan’s responsibility and Dan lied by proxy, wasting my time, money, gas, hopes, and a risk to my personal health during a pandemic. I hope all of the shop workers find employment with a company that has better communication.

June 2020: Earlier this year (2020), I placed an order for multiple Ikorias Collector Boxes. Mystical Games was shorted by the distributor on their initial stock, but they persisted and made sure that they received the remainder of their promised amount. In the end, they provided the product at the original sale price (which had become an absolute deal given the rising prices of Ikoria Collector Boxes).The folks at Mystical Games stayed in contact during the month or so that it took to get their original product allotment, and I am very glad that I trusted the team there—anyone following through on sales like this is a true gem to the Magic community. Thank you!Update on August 27, 2020: Double Masters pre-orders were cancelled due to lack of product. I guess that this time around, they simply did not have the allocation. I hope that the folks at Mystical Games manage to recover and never run into this situation again. All the best.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I preordered some expensive magic cards multiple months in advance, they never arrived.Stuff happens, so I can hardly blame a store for having a problem crop up. What bugged me about this interaction was the fact that I was lied to, repeatedly.

Theyre a scam. Owner spent pre-order money on who knows what and hopes that PayPal will handle refunding customers for him. Thankfully Im only out 90 dollars but this guy is a terrible business owner

Seems like there’s a trend with this shop on failing to fulfill preorders in a timely manner. Great prices on the preorders but you’re going to have to wait to get them.Store is late to fulfill preorders on the newest set, with continually pushed out expected dates of pickup, waiting on a mysterious truck while mtg retailers in the area have had Double Masters product since launch day. Bad look for the store, I guess when you take a risk on a cheap preorder, I should’ve known there would be a risk.Great storefront but it feels empty inside, without a lot of product to full the large space. Prices seem fair on the items. Store was obviously designed with community engagement, drafting, and in-store play intended but unfortunately COVID has changed expectations.So far I’ve seen decent customer service, but it’s all talk without the product to back it.

No other store in the country has had these kind of issues that Ive ordered from.Seems like a small operation that gets in over their head with the money of large pre orders.Hopefully will receive the product before their awful business decisions puts them under.

I’ve been waiting for way over a month for the commander set that I ordered. Every time I call them they say that it’s an ordering issue. I don’t understand how there can be a supply chain issue for over a month. Very disappointed, I was hoping to have built my commander decks by now.

If zero starts was an option, I would have given that. I ordered a product that was never delivered and they canceled my refund without any reason. Still waiting for a resolution. Never order from them!!

I purchased a few collectors boxes for ikoria from them. They sent me tracking but it didnt move from the place it originated. I let them know that the tracking wasnt moving. They pretended not to know what was going on but then I contacted the post office and they told me the package was never given to the post office, and that they just created a tracking. It was clear they sold more preorders than they had supply and left me hanging. They said the boxes were lost. They said well have them by next week. Then a week passed. Then they just kept giving me the run around until I just said I want my money back. Very negative experience. I would not suggest buying from them.

More than anything, this is coming from a place of disappointment in the situation, and in myself for having believed in this place enough to give them a second chance.I had left a positive review, to help out with the negativity, after letting myself believe that the issue when Ikoria was delayed was due to Covid and that they cared about their customers and would try to make right by them. Even let myself be convinced to give them another try, this time with Double Masters, at the time offered for $290, pre-ordering at the end of May. I contacted them early last week to make sure everything was going to go smoothly, no response until I reached out to the email posted on the PayPal dispute page. Within minutes, I get a response to the original email that everything is going smooth and they were going to be shipping out the orders on the 6th and 7th. Sure enough, I get a message with tracking information on the 6th, alright faith well placed. Then, on the 7th I get another message from shopify that my order was shipped on the 7th. Okay, weird but not negative. Then the weekend goes by, with my package still in pre-shipment, the same thing that had happened with Ikoria. Uh-oh.So I try to reach out again, worried that we are about to have the same thing happen twice. No answer from Mystical, so I ask USPS, since tracking was down Sunday and maybe it was just a glitch. Today USPS gets back to me, they havent received my package but will keep tabs on it and contact me again in a few days. Oh no.... I decided to submit a PayPal claim, collecting the whole story from Ikoria to now through screenshots, with the hopes that something, anything, will illicit a response so I can get some answers, with any luck get my product, and hopefully not feel like Ive been duped. So far, no response.So I fear I will have to push my claim to a dispute and have PayPal step up, wasting my time, all the while watching the cost on the product go up everywhere, and the ship dates get further and further away. Unless youre buying product you can physically see in their store, or product that is at least three months past release, just buy from someone else, like Cataclysm Collectibles in Illinois or Flipside in New York. Somehow while New York was hit harder with Covid than anyone at the time of release, they managed to get me Ikoria in 2 days and it only cost me 3 dollars more. Bummer, but at least I learned my lesson, sucks I had to get burned twice to do so.

Pre-ordered some MTG collectors boxes on Ebay and their customer service could not be more legendary. There was a lot of unforeseen delays regarding pandemic and order fulfilment. Aka things out of their power. We kept in communication and they treated my concerns super well. Got my product and super happy. tl;dr Mystical Games & Collectibles is a great business that provides fantastic customer service!

Never shipped orders and communication was extremely poor until spammed with messages on several fronts.

Placed an order for over $400 of items, come back to check on them and they deleted their website and wont return calls or emails. Stole my money outright.

Even though I didnt actually go in the store I bought a toxtricity v and polteageist v box for 25 dollars. I wasnt expecting that good of a pull rate cause of the price. I mainly bought it for the promo cards. Little did I know that when i opened the box I got 3 ultra rares in a row. I got a pigeot ex, silvally gx and a morpeko vmax which is my first vmax! If I had the chance I would buy from here again.

I recently bought two boxes of the mystery booster reprint set for Magic from MGC. I was hesitant at first because the price was REALLY reasonable compared to other people selling on-line, so I was worried it was a scam or would be a hassle. This could not be further from the truth. Shipping being free did not mean it would be a month before I saw my order as I feared it might. The time from when the set was released to when I received my order was only three days. The boxes were packaged well with packing paper, so for those that are annoyed by plastic air pillows (or worse, foam peanuts) you can breathe easier. Even with online orders you can earn store rewards, just like an LGS, because they are an LGS. I only wish that I was closer as they have really awesome stuff on their calendar.

Buyer beware! This store will take your money for a pre-order, not deliver the product on time, and then not have the funds in their account to cover the refund.

I did some business with these guys through an online order and then over the phone. Top notch customer service and went out of their way to make sure I was a happy customer.

My son is just getting into Pokémon and we were looking for somewhere closer to us than Dreamers Vault. Much to our surprise, we found MGC in Eden Prairie! They have a very large location, lots of different merchandise, and extremely friendly staff. Their prices are all better than the big box stores, and they even have a rewards program. We’re newbies to TCG as I never played but my son is interested and we are learning together. They are very nice and go above and beyond, treating everyone with respirated and are eager to help. They even have a separate room that his huge with many tables for gaming, and their prerelease parties are a blast. Keep up the great work Ryan, Hannah and Beezer!
