I tested out several lenses and it was tough to decide. Thankfully, David was there to help me decide. He let me test a couple lenses and he did not rush me at all. He let me take my time seeing which lens worked for me. This is my 3rd time coming here and I always have a good conversation about cameras here. Great employees (Thanks David!) and pretty much any kind of camera/lenses to try out.

I took a roll of film to be developed and scanned into a CD. The film was developed correctly, and Im happy with it. But the all the images uploaded to the CD have dust particles on them as seen on the sky and the water of the images attached. Im sure it wasnt a problem with the lens or the camera itself, otherwise the dust would be the same or similar in all the images.I would give this review 4 stars, but having the images scanned on a CD double the price of the order, with the bad scan quality, I cant go any higher than 2 stars.

They didnt have what I needed but thats not because of their stock. That is because the brand of camera that I have do not currently have anything that will do what I need it to do. The customer service they provided was amazing. They got right on the phone with their rep for that company and cleared it up and gave me hopeful news about when to expect to see it coming out. This location is always, hands down, better than the others.

I live in Georgia but if I have any question about ANYTHING photography or video related I call these guys! They know everything! Really wish there was a knowledge staff in Georgia like this store!

Brought three rolls of B&W film in. They were sent to the camera shop to be developed. Never received a call back about their completion. I called and then went to pick up the film. Mysteriously, upon purchase, one of the rolls was completely empty and they said there were no photos on the film. These people obviously lost my film and never called about it and then slipped it in on the bottom. Dont trust these people with your film.

Very honest and knowledgeable staffs..Though I didn’t like the trade options available (your expensive gears will be bought for very less money).. may be because of their business model.Otherwise, a very nice place to buy/sell used/new camera gears

National Camera is great. They have very knowledgeable staff and will work with you as long as it takes. (if it isnt during a busy time) I prefer to buy all my used gear from them since they offer a 90 day warranty. Dont listen to any negative reviews. National Camera stands by their products and has competitive prices too!

Awesome camera store. I worked in a similar place in New York for a few years and it was nice to swap stories and compare the machines we used for processing, printing, film developing, etc. Wonderful staff, great selection of gear. If I lived in the area, this is where Id go for all of my camera equipment and photo finishing.

Very knowledgeable staff! Had to bring in a camera for a service that entailed sending it out to the manufacturer. Knowing I needed a quick turnaround they did everything they could to make that happen. One thing Im not so happy about is the wait time once youre there. They seem to have enough staff, but the consultations seem to take FOREVER (which I guess is actually a good thing when YOU are the customer!)

I was ready to move up from a point and shoot to a DSLR. So I did my research and figured I could afford a d5600 body w/ a 50mm prime. The super helpful staff asked a few questions and suggested I look at a used d7100. By directing me to the used model they doubled my lens options while saving me money. I will be back. I will send anyone I know who is looking for a camera there as well. They exceeded my expectations!

I stopped in to look at used DSLR bodies. I spoke to Russ, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and did not try to up-sell me. I told him what I was looking for and he pointed me in the right direction. He’s the type of salesman I like- provides information while not being pushy. Great job!

I was shopping for a particular no-longer-made camera that birders recommend. I found it on their online site and with one call they sent it to a local store for pickup. When it came time to shop for a camera case, we got a lot of personal attention from a staff member on the various types and options and we were happy to buy from them. I really appreciate having the in town stores with knowledgeable staff people with the added bonus of being able to do some browsing online. They also took a (quick) look at an older camera in need of repair and gave us some (free) guidance/advice on what that would take.

This store is convenient to my home. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They helped us figure out the color cast adjustment needed for our holiday card. Good inventory of cameras and equipment.

We had a relative go in last week to inquire about a lens that he wanted and he told us that the two young men working at the time made him feel like they didnt want to give him the time of day. Treated him like he was bothering them and made light of any questions he was asking them UNTIL he told them that he was ready to buy and then they changed their tune. All of a sudden he was important to them. REALLY?! So, am I to understand that a person is a nothing until we buy something? A person cant just go into National Camera with questions (for help) and receive answers or good manners or being treated nicely? This family is done with National Camera. Really sad to see that you dont hire people that are willing to just be nice if nothing else. You need to tell your workers that looks can be deceiving. This person may not have looked like he had the money to possibly buy anything in your precious store, but, in fact, he did!!! As a matter of fact, he is a professional photographer and up to this point he was even considering applying for a job in your store, but definitely will not now. He wouldnt want to work with people like that.

You have to work pretty hard to be a brick and mortar and get five stars. Yet there are few other places I would ever want to look for a camera. The prices are very competitive with online stores, but more. Importantly the staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. They know their stuff and from my experience, work really hard on avoiding the upsell (unless you want it). Top tier camera store.

Ive bought from National camera before and had good experience from them. My last purchase from them was online as I had recently moved out of state. I bought a used camera body from them and thought buying from a camera store was a good way to go as I thought it would have been well tested before they took it from whoever had had it before, plus they would have tested it before sending it to me. Well, that assumption was wrong and they sold and sent me a camera that would not take pictures! I called them and was met with a patronizing tone down the phone and told they would send me an email! No offer of an alternative camera, no offer of repair and then sent back to me, they didnt even just say they were going to refund me just that they would send me an email. To make matters worse I then had to call them to find out what was happening after I saw through UPS tracking that they had received the camera a couple of days ago and I hadnt had a refund or heard anything! When I called I was told that it could take up to ten days before I get my money! Im not impressed with natcam and will buy from B and H, Amazon or eBay in the future.

I buy all my prints & enlargements that I want framed from National Camera Exchange. They are a little more expensive but great quality! The employees are VERY competent about cameras & willing to help you learn how to use your camera.

The staff here are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing their love of all things camera with their customers! Although the prices are little on the high side, the experience you will get here is completely worth it! Also included in the purchase of a DSLR camera are 2 classes where they will teach you the basics of how to use it- make sure to take advantage of this bonus and use them before they expire!

I only go here when I absolutely have to. They no longer carry any professional brands for most accessories and instead push the in house Pro-Master brand. I went in for a polarizing filter and was shocked by the price. You have very limited or no choice outside of their own brand.

Ill never shop here again. Ive been here 3 times each time has resulted in a negative experience. Every item Ive purchased from this establishment has been over priced and ended up either breaking easily or not working properly shortly after. I purchased an SD card (for twice the cost of buying it online) and it corrupted my files from an important shoot despite the fact that I followed proper procedure of formatting the card prior to shooting. I even tried it again later (with test shots) and it did the same thing. I purchased a CF and SD card reader which, a few months after purchasing it, began randomly ejecting itself which has nearly cost me to lose precious data on multiple occasions. again it was way overpriced. I purchased a camera backpack for close to $300 and 2 months later one of the straps just snapped. Ill never shop here again. not to mention the staff are snobs, have been slow to assist on each occasion, and acted like my questions were an inconvenience. dont waste your money at this place. just buy online. Im all for supporting and buying local but this place is robbing the community.

Very impressed! Spoke to three different salesman (two at this store) during the course of choosing a camera. They were all very knowledgeable and patient. I actually dropped one of the demo cameras and the salesman kindly said Dont worry about it. I since learned they work on commission but I never felt any pressure. When I went back to get a bigger camera bag they offered to exchange/credit my smaller previously purchased bag. I had not even brought the receipt since I thought I would have to eat the cost of that smaller bag.

After explaining EXACTLY what we would use the camera for: high-volume commercial use, I was pointed towards a Sony that seemed to be the “camera of the week”. I was suspicious, but leaned on their expertise. Two new lenses, a failed body and one expired warranty later, I own a $700+ worthless brick that was nothing but trouble and required numerous trips to the store. $135 just for a quote from Sony for a repair? Please. I should have purchased fro BHPhoto video, but as a small-shop owner wanted to buy local. Roseville earns Nat Cam an extra star for exchanging the first failed lens after only a few months of pro indoor use. Edina “had a meeting” with the rep who said: “sorry, we’re not going to help you”. Thanks a lot for 18 months of problematic ownership. All staff were always kind, but didn’t seem willing to “go to bat” for us, even though I also bought a nice camera for my family at the same time. Sony can afford to fix this flimsy camera, we cannot. It has been replaced by a $200 camera from Target which takes clearer photos and hasn’t failed in months.
