Worst customer care ever seen. Supervisor called Andrew gave us the worst treatment ever seen. Will never even think of shopping office depot. Still my head spinning how he treated and hang up the phone. Would never recommend anyone as long as people that guy are there.

I called the store to inquire about printing some PDF sewing patterns. The person I spoke to (John) claimed that he did this all the time. Just to make sure there was no ambiguity, he suggested I come in and make sure everything was done correctly. I spent nearly an hour there and showed him EXACTLY what I needed. He assured me he could do this. I was told my order would be completed the next day. When I tried to check online, I realized he hadn’t even given me an order number. So I called the store. I was told my order hadn’t been started yet and to call back in an hour. I called back and was told my order was complete. I went to pick it up and it was EXACTLY what I told John I did not want. He apparently misquoted me an incorrect price, didn’t print one item I needed, and after showing him what I wanted, proceeded to do what I told him I could do myself at home. He sounded and acted like he knew what he was doing. He certainly did not. Poor Deb spent some time with me after trying to figure out what on earth had gone wrong. She said they couldn’t do what I needed. Sounds like John was clueless. Never again!

Price was listed in error on an item and the person incharge (Andrew) who said was the manager said he was unable to adjust the price because I was using a reward. This is false advertisement I think.

2 out of 3 self-serve printers wasn’t working. The staff wasn’t helpful and yelled at customers who used the wrong door to exit. One of the staff who has glasses and weird looking eye, he replied to me that “You will get charge at full service price” after I asked him “can I please print the one page document with you?” since the self-serve printers are not working and there are 6-7 people waiting to print something. The staff then said “oh, there’s $2.50 minimum to print with me”. I guess he was just unhappy that I interrupted his time chatting with another employee who actually was productive. A

I usually dont review but I was very confused by a policy that would not let me hold a product until I got over to the store or buy it and leave it as a pick up! This is ridiculous! May have to stick with Staples if this keeps up. It doesnt sound like Office Depot wants to sell their product .

Why is ZERO stars not an option? One star is far too gracious. The products are probably okay, but you first must get past the pathetic customer service. The worst offender in the store for customer service is ANDREW. I experienced Andrew twice today. ANDREW rates a big fat zero. When I was in the store he was rude and on the phone he was offensive. So glad to take my business elsewhere!

UPDATE: GREAT MANAGER AND COMPUTER SALES TECH! I called corporate office and she was mystified as to why they would not accept the return. She emailed and tried calling the store, but they were not yet open. So she also gave me a copy of the email she sent with said receipts and return policy attached. I also printed out the corporate return policy for computers. And returned to the store the next morning... AND THE MANAGER AND COMPUTER SALES GUY ALREADY WERE ON THE PROBLEM! THEY WERE GREAT! 1 bad customer service representative can wreck alot of good work by alot of good people.------------------------------------------------NO WARRANTY!!! NO REFUND FOR NON OPERATIONAL COMPUTERS!!! Trying to return laptop the next day. Sold me a $2,300 computer that was defective. Batterys never charged. Not even able to turn it on after charging for 6 hrs then 18 hours. Buy electronics someplace else with a real warranty. Here is the Return Policy. Supossed 14 days. But I was told by a manager that if you turn it on its not returnable. And he wouldnt even touch it.

The place just turned from my go to place to never going again place. The printers are extremely easy to operate so i use it for all my printing needs and whenever i have to print a return label. Today, i printed the return label, had my package open. All i asked for, was a little bit of tape to attach the label and the guy charged $2.50 for that( i have the receipt for evidence). I have done this numerous times and the lady that is usually present never ever charged me. So is this a sudden change in process? Why was not i charged in past? The guy lectured me about my package not adhering to fedex standards for packaging when i had just one tiny box in a big box with a lot of packing material already inside and that he has to do more packing material. Wow!

Went in there on Friday after Thanksgiving, wasn’t too crowded but didn’t find the staff to be especially helpful. One young lady seemed to be a little annoyed when I asked her where to find something after not being given the best directions from the guy up front. It’s the kind of service I would expect if the store was packed with people but it wasn’t. Won’t likely be going out of my way to visit again.

I went in looking for a general home office printer that could be fed small batches of envelopes for wedding invitations. The man that assisted me (tall, Mike maybe?) didnt even let me finishing asking for what I was looking for before telling me its not possible and I needed to spend $400+ to get something that would still give me a headache and only prints in black and white. Was not impressed with how he belittled me and spoke over me. Will not be returning if this is how you treat customers instead of trying to find a solution to my need. Ill take my money elsewhere, thanks.

Thank you Moe and Ashley! Great customer service. Moe helped me order things online that were out of stock in the store.Then, I used my personal card and not my company cc by accident. I dropped the F-bomb and Moe didnt even blink.Ashley happily help us resolve the issue and they both thanked me for being patient.I was the one that goofed and they were rock stars handling the situation.

The store itself was nice and organized. Cashier was nice, but a staff member on the sales floor wasnt the most pleasant. I understand one of the roles would be AP, but that staff member was very blatant with it and made me feel like I was profiled. I felt that person didnt have the best soft skills. My visit was sometime late Feburary.

I work as a Receptionist for my company and we had to create a Bday card for our contractors and John the print supervisor was awesome! Not only did he offer great advice but he was on standby and worked with me the entire time! We are very excited to get these cards out and now have a reliable location for anything we may need printed cut or made. Terrible customer service she look your face like you are asking question from other planet! No help. They dont care customers! the lady who work there and sales guy not even talk with customers. I wait for respond from them at least 25 minutes. Look their face and wait 25 minutes. They didnt even ask anything to me! Any place should be better than here! Trash!

The worst customer service ever. I wanted a full copy of my passport .. but the employee looked down at me as if I am asking for a crazy thing .. or as if I were asking them for a charity or a donation. Im not sure whats her problem or if they are not treating her well .. I know for sure that I wont go back there at any cost!!!

Wonderful customer service. I had an issue with a copy & print order that was partly my fault. The people in this department and the manager especially worked with me to ensure that the order was completed and of high quality. Caring for their customers is their top priority. It is difficult to find customer service like this anymore.

I needed a new printer and I Went to Office Depot. Office Max on France Avenue in Edina. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by a smiling, Rachel Riley, a sales person. I told her what I was looking for - just a simple printer, that I could easily set up, and at a good price. She knew just the right printer and it was at a very good price. She was informative, friendly, and really wanted to help a customer in need (me) find just the right item and at the right price. I will certainly return to this Office Max in the future.

They tried telling me I couldnt take back my laptop, despite having the original receipt, the original packaging, it being within the 14 day return window, and a laptop in perfect condition. They claimed that because the box was open, they would only be able to give me store credit. I had to practicaly fight with the guy to have him look up the return policy. Then he goes okay so you want that back on your original card?. A bunch of crooks.

I should have read the reviews before going here. I bought 8 printer ink cartridges and some paper and upon checkout the cashier notes that I was getting a $20 Promotional Gift. I though nothing about it until I got home and read the receipt. I was charged $20 for the gift. I question the ethics of a company that ensures continued business by means of cashier trickery.I will have to spend the $20 Promotional Gift to get my money back - but will no longer shop at OfficeMax.

My husband and I always shop at Office Depot Office Max. Mark is the manager who goes all out for you!!!!!They have a wide variety of stuff from printing supplies, computers to snacks. Weve had good luck finding great sales here. Manager Mark Warin was the best!! He even delivered the chair to us! Excellent service. Ashley the operations manager went out of her way to help us get the best deal on our second office chair at this store. I am so glad I found this store. Its all about the ethics and the management here in Edina Store on South France Ave is top notch. Thank you both so much!!!!

I think the staff is friendly and helpful. I just dont like being up-sold on protection plans. This is likely a corporate-driven initiative and I realize they arent the only retailer that does this. I just dont like this practice in general.

Couldnt give half a star..Horrible service..the manager was very rude when I was returning couple of monitors that I had to return. He asked why I was returning so I said I got a better deal..the next thing he said was then why did you buy here, are you trying to sell someone else Christmas gifts then he said to one of the employee get it there are other people asking these monitors and I dont deserve it or something like that. Pleade never go to this store. I just returned it and came out without even talking back anything as I was in a rush.

Max was rude and unhelpful. I have a retail connect card with my company and the discount was not applying. Instead of looking into it he simply just said, this is what its ringing up as. Prior to that I was looking for my ink and a white woman was also looking, an employee came and walked right past me to assist the white woman and didnt ask me if I needed help at all.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! I also wish I had read the reviews before going to this store. I went to order customized holiday cards and the clerk told me that theyd be finished the next morning. After not receiving any notice that they were finished, I called them 3 days later to find out that they cant find the template. OK????!! then the guy says hes going to look for it and call me back in two hours.. well, its been 6 hours and I havent received a phone call. I call them again and Mike says yeah...sorry... youll just have to cancel your order TERRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE STAFF. I agree with everyone else, not shopping here again.

Tried returning defective laptop with receipt in new condition and Manager said he did not have enough cash. How do you not have enough cash at 5pm for a $260 laptop return. He then said he could put the money on a credit card or send me a check. I refused to give him my credit card as I paid in cash. He then opens register and pulls out the magical cash he claimed he never had. He then lectures me about returning on the 14th day, how a $260 laptop is basically useless despite having no problems with a $200 laptop in the past. Then he asks how much speed does my internet get. I say 10 Mbps and he laughs and says no wonder it freezes on you, thats like dial up speed. Then he goes on about how he has 30 Mbps. 10 Mbps is no where near dial up and is actually a pretty fast speed. Ive played call of duty on 2 Mbps so hes obviously not very educated on internet speeds. He gives me my money without counting it and I leave. I count it outside to make sure and what do you know. He shorted me a $20 bill. I go back inside and he goes to the safe to retrieve it and says next time you should pay with a card instead of cash. Excuse me for thinking a large brand name store would have $270 on hand for a return. I feel sorry for the kid who rang me up. He was trying so hard to make my return smooth and the Manager ruined everything. That other review about the laptop return must be true. Stay far away from this and any other office Max., unless you like being degraded, humiliated and hassled.

How is Snsrew still working at this store? I am a 67 year old who needed help returning some boxes and I have never been treated so rudely by a sales person. I asked to speak to the manager.. and he yelled at me that he WAS THE MANAGER. I moved on to another cashier and was taken care of. It’s unbelievable to me that OM keeps this person on as a manager of the store. I see you have several other poor reviews about him as well. I think it’s time you do something to remedy this situation. I, for one, will never purchase from this store again.
