I cannot express how much I love this store. I know for fact I will buy something here if I pass the threshold. From puzzles to amazing games and trinkets there is always something I want. This is not to mention the extreme customer service. Each person who works there know so much about each game and if they are not expert, they can hand you off to someone who is. Make sure to join the frequent buyers club the first purchase you make, because YOU WILL BE BACK.

Beware! GBJ will make you wear a mask even though the mask mandate has been COMPLETELY lifted. I was told that I had to wear a mask or leave. When I said that I would leave, they didnt care at all. Really surprised because I have been shopping at GBJ since the early 90s and my kids and I have always looked forward to shopping there and always spend quite a bit of money even though we can get it cheaper at Walmart or online. We always love supporting smaller businesses. Will be happy to spend my money elsewhere and to not be controlled by the people I give my money to.

I always like going into this store because the people that work there know what theyre talking about. The store is always very clean and they have a good selection. Its sad that because of the pandemic the gaming area is shut down but Im sure theyll host games again when they can. Good selection of stuff for both casual and collector gamers.

This is definitely a place where fun is at the top of the menu. this game shop has provided a space to hang out within the Southdale Center and you can actually play most of the games they have for sale in the store for free as long as you play within the designated area. Lots of space to play also the room has massage chairs if you don’t want to play but the little ones do. Let them drain some extra energy while you sit back and get some well deserved relaxation time. Go check out this space for yourself I’m sure you will find something to enjoy at this location.

If you need games or puzzles, there is nowhere better to go!

One of the bigger locations. They also have a Yard Games By James right next door that has cornhole, large-sized Connect 4, and a set of reclining massage chairs. Its a good place to get off of your feet. The staff is knowledgeable & friendly!!

Fun place with a variety of games and amusements. Helpful staff assisted me in discretely buying a gift for my son, who was in the store with me, without his knowledge. Their prices might not be the cheapest but its helpful to have such a variety in one place.

Excellent selection of family games and strategy games for the advanced gamer. Fantasy Flight, Wizards of the Coast, Upper Deck -- all the great publishers have full representation here. Nice game play area at the back. No miniatures games seen but thats no loss in my book.

Was very impressed with the knowledge of the staff (one guy). He recommended several games that he thought my 8 year old would enjoy and gave a brief but detailed rundown of each of them helping me make an informed decision. Great selection and excellent customer service.

Pretty standard gaming experience. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of inventory to help spice up your game night, and their rewards program is decent.

Staff are knowledgeable and they carry a wide variety of yard games, puzzles, board and card games. The prices could be better and you can get a better deal from Target, Walmart and Amazon.

Fantastic store. I am from out of town and I didn’t feel unwelcome here. Loved the mini edh tournament and if I ever find myself in the twin cities again, I’ll be back for sure.

The store has great games and selection to choose from. It’s a fun stop for looking at all of the things they have to offer. I felt out of place given the crowd that was hanging out in there and the odd treatment I received from the staff because I wasn’t super into games Lake most of their customers clearly are. They were not rude or impolite in anyway. It was just awkward. I guess I would go again. The item I bought they are broke almost immediately after removing it from its packaging.I don’t think I’ll be going back to return it but it was sad not ever being able to use it. Probably not their fault as they didn’t make it but it did ruin my experience
