2 stories, very large location featuring a Cafe, childrens section and quiet places to read in large comfortable chairs. They had a smaller selection of business resources compared to other locations.

The actual walk in and touch books experience is still necessary AND needed. Being able to sit and read while having a snack and using the Wi-Fi is bonus. Stay open Barnes & Noble!

Returns are arbitrarily set by the current manager. She miscalculates the 30-day return policy one day short, claiming its only good for 29 days and refuses a genuine refund. Also, she recommends to visit another B&N store (!?)

I always love Barnes and Nobles. I can spend hours in books stores. They have a little bit of everything and a helpful and knowledgeable staff. I took a star off only because they didnt have the book I was looking for. In their defense they did offer to order it for me.

This Barnes & Nobles is fantastic, not only does it have a bunch of books and a second floor, but it has awesome employees as well. The variety of books in here is infinite from fictions books, non fiction, manga, magazines, etc… I love going to this place and every time I go I go poor because of how many good books there are. I definitely recommend coming here if you like books or manga/comics. 10/10.

I honestly havent been to a Barnes & Noble this large since the location on Staten Island, which is now closed. They have a great selection available, in all categories and two huge floors of merchandise. I would absolutely visit this location again.

One of the bigger possibly the biggest Barnes and Noble in the central Jersey area. I’ve always liked it. There is the cafe with Starbucks coffee and small eats. You can read the books in Barnes and Noble as usual although I feel bad compared to B&N prior glory. I still have a soft spot for the Menlo Park B&N

This Saturday 25th I purchased item and went to return(un opened), manager said its already returned. Item was with me but system was showing its returned and I have no refund in my credit card. Finally with customer call etc. I ended up going to store 2 time and with frustration I just handover item and receipt to manager and simply walked away. I did call customer support from store so they can talk to manager and help, funny thing manager explained them item is in opened condition so she can not take it back :)

I like bookstores in general, and Barnes and Noble in particular, but this one needs a cleaning. Bathrooms are below the already low standard for the chain, but even the general areas have dirty floors. And this is shortly after they open so that means it wasn’t cleaned over night. Let’s do better

The Starbucks store doesn’t have electric outlets, if you wish to sit work here. So you have to look for outlets. The building is old and BN should consider having some electric outlets so people can work stress free

The associates that work there provide great customer service. From recommending books to walking you to the section or a specific book you are looking for. The location offers tables at the Starbucks’s section as well as comfortable seats surrounding the store. The only downfall is when it’s Christmas season and the mall is packed, it’s hard to find parking.

Great experience for someone like myself who doesnt frequent book stores. The layout of the store made the experience one to remember. I found a book for myself. I also found books and educational toys for my family that they found to quite enjoyable.

My encounter with the staff member Michelle was amazing! I was looking for a variety of books all across the store and she helped me locate them all. She also gave great book recommendations for my younger siblings. Super nice and very knowledgeable of the store!

My go to place for finding books just walk g through the store. There are so manu great books I have randomly discovered that I would have never found. My feeling is paying a bit more than Amazon for books I would mot have found without BN being there is well worth it.

I so love this store, I can browse around for any book that calls my attention and find new things there. I especially love the sale section. Im hooked.

Amazing! My friends and I love to come here to just hang around. Great to play hide and seek in, one time my friend and I just went up and down and up and down the escalators. We evaded our friends for like 15 minutes- much recommend. Large selection of books, friendly staff at the Starbucks and overall super nice. Definitely recommend.

Honestly I dont know why the furniture is sooo dirty and old. Since Covid youd think they would replace the ooolld cloth chairs with vinyl. To properly clean. Whelp thats if there even thought of being cleaned. Unlike the bathroom which was beyond nasty. Theres obviously enough staff, since there was an employee going through the store serving samples of drinks. CLEAN THE STORE BETTER. SERIOUSLY!

Gorgeous store, has a Starbucks in it with a very quiet place to read and relax. Employees at the cashier were a bit blunt but overall, amazing place.

I havent been here in a long time but it was enjoyable during the weekday, not crowded at all and was able to browse through the collections without feeling others hovering over me. Staff was friendly at the counter and I do enjoy the recommendations under certain book series this was prevalent around the Mangas as well.

Needed a couple of books for a special child. I asked the person at the customer service desk for assistance. He actually left his post to help me. He didnt point to a direction and send me on my own. He didnt ask someone else to help me. What a pleasant surprise. Thats what I call great service.

The atmosphere of the store is positive in general and I commend the staff for keeping it in such order. However, as I began reading a book as I always do when I go one of the associates rudely interrupted me and my friends. I am aware of new covid guidelines put in place to keep everyone safe, however the sales rep barged over and instructed us that we were unable to sit on the floor with the worst attitude. I felt like he could’ve done so with more grace and more emotion. He was surely a reason I won’t be back anytime soon. The way he spoke to us was unacceptable and I hope the librarian works on his people skills before confronting another customer. Highly dissatisfied

Great place to shop and browse. I was happy with the selection and service was great. Safety protocols in place & I felt comfortable being there.

If I could give this place zero stars, I honestly would. I went to the place because it was fairly large. However, when I was with my friend, we were rudely interrupted by one of the workers. The way he spoke to us was quite rude (as the other comments might agree.) I get COVID guidelines. But there arent enough places to sit, and Im not hanging around other people in the cafeteria where they may (or may not be) wearing masks.Another thing : I didnt catch the guys nametag (if he had one at all), but he was super creepy. It seems that anywhere my friend & I went, he would follow. He and another employee just said Dont sit on the floor. ThAnKs. There were no signs stating this rule. I think if its that big of a problem, get it posted in a clear area. Also, the seating area they provided were these wooden chairs right in front of this large window in the sun, barely six feet apart from each other. I was with my friend, there was no joint place to sit and again, we werent going into the cafe.

The cafe has the tastiest brownies. Staff is friendly. Youre only allowed to sit for 30 minutes at a time at the cafe. The seating area by the kids section is closed due to Covid restrictions. Youre allowed to browse through 4 books at a time at the cafe.

Had been to the Lego event out there.. it was a registered only event supposed to start from 2.00 pm. However, when we got there by 2.00pm there were about 30 people standing in the queue.. which is good.. a lot of people came there..Problem started when they didnt have any pieces left of the Lego.. they handed over Starbucks coffee cups to put the Lego pieces and asked us to take photos of the instruction set. By the time our turn came up.. there were no Lego pieces and they said we can go..Extremely poorly organized..One simple thing that they could have done is.. even before they made people stand in the queue - they could have asked for confirmation email for the event.. that way kids who had taken the trouble and registered would get a chance to build it.. after all the registered participants are done, they could have opened it up for everyone else.. My kid was Extremely disappointed and so was I.. absolutely no event management skills.. It was a big let down.. Please see the image yourself and let me know if anything that I said was wrong..

Definitely the unfriendliest and rudest B&N on Planet Earth. The staff is snarky, smug and unjustifiably arrogant. The fairly good selection compared to other B&Ns in the area is definitely offset by the sheer awfulness of the staff. If you want to be insulted after asking a simple question about where to find a particular section, have at it and come here.

A fairly good book store as far as book shops go.

The store manager John needs to retrain his associates because their attitudes are extremely horrible. I purchased books from here on February 6th and the associate Zachary and manager Stephen were so rude I decided to return the books. When I came in today February 8th I was met by another rude associate, idk if the treatment I received is race related but I wont completely erase the idea. Ill never shop here again, you counted my once but youll never count it again!!!!

The staff was courteous and friendly. The store is clean and centrally located. It partners with local schools for events. It has a great selection. Come and browse, or lose yourself and your sense of time in one of the reading nooks around the store. The open feel.of this two story B&N makes it more enjoyable than other locations.

I love going to this specific Barnes and Nobles with my friends because of the great environment and positive energy throughout the store. They have a wide variety of books and always come home satisfied. The Starbucks in the store is great addition. I feel like it is great location since it is right by the mall and is a good to just stop in for a couple minutes.

This is a clean well maintained two floor book store. Staff are eager to help you find the book you came in for or will recommend a book of the month. There is also a book club with discounts. If you dont see your book ask a staff team member to help you find it or they can order it for you. There is a cafe with some specialty beverages and snacks. This Barnes & Noble is a warm and inviting place to find your next perfect read!

This Barnes & Noble has all the things every single Barnes & Noble has, including one broken escalator for some reason. I think thats a corporate policy. They have an elevator if that matters to you. No real complaints.

Not happy. Its not the only Barnes and Noble that didnt have the books I needed so now its Amazon to the rescue. Because of Covid-19 I cant look up the books I wanted myself and it took a while to get help.

Had all the books I needed! But... I’m currently in a knee brace and all the books I needed were on the bottom shelf closest to the floor so I sat down to see them. I was told I could not sit by an employee and was then followed around for the remainder of time I was in the store till I got to the check out line. (I was wearing my covid mask as well to make this clear). The same employee who told me I could not sit down followed me around till I left keeping an eye on me the whole time! Honestly I believe it’s ridiculous, i didn’t do anything wrong 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Always enjoy browsing and shopping in Barnes n Noble. Great selection of everything can possibly want plus more. Store always guy stocked and clean. Employees are great, they are there quickly to help you find something if needed or can suggest ordering it if not carried. Warm and friendly and professional employees and amosphere is very inviting, that you find yourself staying longer than you intended for there is so much to see and to choose from. Great store.

There are Barnes & Noble stores everywhere, but I really like this one. It has two floors with plenty of comfortable places to sit & read. The have all genres of books & magazines, so you have lots of options too. This store also clearly shows you whats on sale, so you can often find things you want to buy, at great prices. Theres also a nice cafe here with a clean bathroom right next to it. So if youre looking for a great place to shop for books & magazines, and you want to read them in a relaxing environment, then I recommend the Barnes & Noble store at Menlo Park Mall.

Very great place to spend time. My kid loved the kids section which was decorated nicely. Books are neatly organized in respective sections. Not recommended for people who want to spend quick minutes to buy books.It has lots of gift materials for babies and toddlers in addition to wide collection of books. Would like to spend time over here again if possible.
