Great and selection of used clothes. Garments are carefully picked and displayed by size, and colors. The price is parent friendly and the young kids working there are helpful.I have gone to this place a few times and it is definitely worth it, specially with kids ages 2 to 9.

Great place hidden away to buy childrens clothing and shoes. They also buy your childrens old clothing which is great for upgrading the sizes as they get older. Will be shopping here again.

Ive been here a few times to shop for childrens clothes. The clothes are neatly organized by size, style, and color. Nearly all of the clothes Ive looked at are in good condition. The prices are reasonable and I usually find something that Im looking for. They also have a decent selection of books and toys.

If you have high quality items that are gently used they won’t give you much back for it. I went there today with a maxi Cosi stroller travel system in great condition (used 3 times), MamaRoo swing barely used and a baby upright seat. They offer $74 estimate for all three items. I took mine back because that wasn’t enough for more than $200 quality items. Then the price they was going to sell my items for was way more which I would’ve accepted! Waste of time traveling here. Total rip off! Although, the women who work here have no fault they showed good customer service.

I love this location, so far I’ve been to 3 different locations & this was the only one that had shopping carts & also the best customer service. I also got the best deals at this location, I’ll definitely be coming back and I’m happy this one is the closest to me as well.

I had came here to browse and because I had a 30 minute wait at the brunch spot down the street and I was surprised. I never buy my kids used clothing but when I saw a lot of their items had tags and even used ones were in great condition, I was shocked. The toys were also in great condition and super cheap. I found an LOL airplane for $10! Those go for over $100 brand new. When I was checking out, I asked if they accepted donations because i’m CONSTANTLY donating my daughters clothes. They told me they don’t accept donations but they’ll buy it. I brought in 2 bins later on that day, they purchased 55 items for $97. $97 for clothes that I would’ve dumped in a bin on the side of the highway. Needless to say, I walked away very satisfied.

I took a lot of my baby clothes there almost allof it my sons never wore. I only got 4 dollars for it. It’s a rip off to be honest.

They sell a large assortment of used childrens clothes, shoes, toys, and strollers. The clothes are generally in good shape, but it could still be hit or miss. (Clothes can be returned with tags & receipt within 7 days.) Ive sold them some used items for a fraction of what they will sell for, but Im glad to get the stuff out of my house. Between the discounts for joining their rewards program & selling items, I get a pile of clothes for less than I expected to pay. Bring your own bag.

I love this place and have saved so much money by shopping here. I love the 10 for $10 onesie bins, how theyve organized everything by size and color, and the deals. Its also SO helpful for me to be able to compare different clothes from different brands in the same store (we have a tall baby, so I can see which brands of leggings run longer without having to buy a bunch of stuff from different places and figure thst out the hard way). Ive found expensive brand name baby clothes for less than $5, everything is in great used condition and some stuff even still has the original tags on it. My only tiny pro tip is that if youre buying an outfit that theyve put together (like pairing separates), double check the sizes before you buy because sometimes theyre not the same. Its not a big deal because things are so inexpensive here, and usually its something the next size up that theyll be able to wear soon, but once I bought a cute set with pants attached that ended up being in a size she had already outgrown.

The employees at this location are horrible. This was my first time at this location and was unaware of the protocols of the clothing arrangements. They spoke to me with a very rude tone and barely looked at my items. Most of the items were not worn but I think because I liked a certain way they stereotyped me and wouldn’t give the items a chance. I am very hurt by this and would not recommend this place to anyone!

This is a good store if you are a buying customer. Things are decently priced and sometimes you can find brand new items with original tags on them. This place is not so good if you are a selling customer. You do not get that much for toys or clothes. It seems that you put more effort into bringing the items to the store and walk out with maybe half or more than half back home. I donate the stuff that they don’t buy.

This place is great to buy toys, very nice toys for 4-5 dollars that would normally cause way more in retail stores. Selling is another story, the associate was offering $41 for 35 items .. she explained that I did not have brand names, among the items that I was selling I Had a Nike sweat suit that was worn once, an adidas and Tommy Hilfiger set that were in great conditions, among the items I also had three items that were brand new with tags. Five pairs of baby shoes, one of which were never worn. I understand that profit has to be made but come on, also they claim to not take stained items and I saw several, they also claim to not take tights which I also saw . I also saw faded items that looked very worn out .

This is a brilliant idea- the clothes are excellent quality and most clothes are less than $5. In all of Northern NJ, the Edison store is the biggest and best. I get annoyed when selling clothes to them, as they are very selective and pay very little. (And they could use a lottle.more finesse)

Ive sold here numerous times & each time seems to get worse. It used to be worthwhile, but its starting to not seem worth it. Id give more stars, but aside from the managers, the customer service is lacking. I get rude glares & attitudes every time.

I would have given them 5 stars three years ago when I started to buy and sell there. But as many have said, this place is great if youre a buyer but as a seller not so much. Plenty of money saved shopping here. Definitely worth a once over before you purchase new at retail store or online especially on denim, jackets,/coats, dress-up/costumes, special occasion/dressy, toys, baby gear and sometimes shoes/boots. The rest is hit or miss. You may get lucky on a high-end brand and a great price if its good to great condition but with so many retailers selling new clothes at lower prices (Childrens Place/Old Navy/Walmart/Target) its not always worth buying used on less expensive items like tshirts and shorts. The convenience of Amazon and online shopping where you can buy from home is another factor to consider whether its worth your time. I used to have much better luck as a seller than I have in my last several trips there. I would regularly get $50-75 on a bin or two. Now Im lucky to get $10 and most of my stuff rejected. Its like theyre looking for any excuse to reject your items. And the prices they offer are nominal. Its particularly bad when it comes to shoes and baby gear. Youre better off selling on Facebook Marketplace or giving them to a friend or relative especially when it comes to nice stuff in good condition. The other weird thing thats happened several times now is they want to break up a set - for example theyll make an offer on snow pants but not the matching snow jacket when both are in the same good condition. Why would I do that when I can donate or give away a complete set? This store is the closest OUAC to me but its still out of my way. Lately Im starting to wonder if its worth the trip any more especially to sell items. Ill still make time to stop and shop if Im passing by. Also most of the staff and managers are great. Some, as some have also said, need to work on their customer service.

Couldn’t stop my self from reviewing this place. This store is great. We stopped by yesterday after having bad experience at Platos. They told us they do not buy kids sizes and threw our stuff in the bag and told us we can try your store. We ended up coming there it was late in the evening. Your staff was great your manager was on point. She bought almost everything and explained everything very well on items she passed on. Great experience. Ina is great to work with. We will be back with more items.

What a great and care free experience I came in with two bins. The girls at the front desk advised me to sign in I received a text stating my items were ready to picked up. I forgot to bring in a bag of sneakers as well. They told me give them a few minutes. The took nearly 70 percent of my items and I received over 100.00 Im super happy. They also had a lot of cute things for kids I will be back soon. Thanks for a good experience. They have excellent customer service skills

Place is organized, but For a place that sells used clothes I don’t think their prices are that crazy good I found some of the items a bit expensive for what they were selling it for not even brand name so I might as well just buy it new, I’ve been toOther gently used clothing stores for kids and prices have been better, great quality as well.

Low price cloths and all size

This place is not recommended if you are a selling customer. They gave me very less amount for my items which were of good brands. Among them was Radio flyer Wagon with Canopy which was gently used and in good condition. They were offering me 12$ for that. I rejected and took it back. I sold the same wagon on Facebook marketplace to a wonderful family for 30$. If your items are in good condition use Facebook or other sites. They wont take items if they have little stains and offer least price for good ones. Im not going back.

I was able to buy clothes and coats for both my sons for under $40. This is such a great place to trade lightly worn cloths for other lightly worn clothes that will be new for your child(ren). The prices are very affordable. They also have bag sales once or twice a year where you can fill a bag with as much onesies as you can fit for $10, for the ages of Premiee to 1year.

Was told in summer of 2018 to only bring in plastic bags, clothes need to be freshly washed and folded, with only minimal stains. I always buy toys an some holiday clothes for my girls. I havent sold anything since. Went there last monday only for me to catch the girls huddled in a corner laughing and literally ripped my bags open to look inside for maybe 10 seconds then put them back on the ground. Then they had THE AUDACITY to tell me that my clothes were heavily stained and too used. Most of the items in there were clothes that my newborn couldnt use or never got the chance to wear or new clothes that my oldest to is too picky to wear. On top of that the girl that rang me up had a huge attitude like she didnt want to be there. Disgustingly dusty too. never going back.

I have shopped at Once Upon A Child for years and I have never seen anything like what I just experienced at the Edison location. I and three of my children, ages 4, 2 and 13 months, got to the store at 9:45am (their doors opened at 9:30am) only to find that 4 women manning 6-7 shopping carts among them had already loaded their carts to overflowing with girls’ dresses to the point that the only dresses left on the racks were very visibly used and worn. The staff simply watched them while smiling. Meanwhile the rest of us who came to simply shop for Easter attire for our children were left with nothing to choose from. It was quite apparent the these women were buying this merchandise for resale.

For the budget conscious parent raising children, unless youre a 1% ter, you need to shop here. Low prices, good quality, oftentimes brand new with tag, and who needs to buy a $100 outfit when the time you get back from shopping your child has already outgrown it. Little ones grow up quick. Save money for important things like therapy and medication when youre raising a teenager.

Its a great concept to begin with. This place had evolved a lot in the last few years. They have great collection of baby & kids used clothes, toys, accessories, baby gear & shoes inventory. The clothes displayed are sorted neatly by age, gender & color. They are in good condition so if you believe in recycling & dont mind using lightly used clothes & shoes of another child this is a great place to find them all under one roof. And if you look well & have the patience you might get lucky & find some things brand new or unused. The items are well priced according to the condition. They have a good collection of books for all ages & I mostly visit the store to get more books at cheap rates! I would give it a 4 star for customer service, hygiene & in house discounts.

Only been here once and had a really good experience. Bought a lot of newborn clothes for my babygirl coming in May but I wanted to ask when will you guys be open anytime soon? Because I still have a couple things to buy for her before she arrives and currently so many things are closed.

I take my sons used clothing here and sometimes I get decent money but many times they just dont give you what an item is worth, like the timberland boots my son wore a couple times and outgrew. They wanted to give us $10 just because of a tiny scuff. I took the boots back.

My husband and I had a great experience here on Saturday night. No one was following us around or making us feel uncomfortable/unwelcomed. We had a great experience. We spent a little over $70 and got so much for our son. Because of the items and the friendly staff we have decided to continue to get his clothes, sneakers, books, etc from here. The store is very clean as well as the items. Everything is resonably priced. We will never mind traveling for a great Customer Service. Speaks volumes about whoever does the hiring for this store.

I really love this place, it has toys, books, clothing, jewelry and a lot more. They are all in great conditions I love that you can make donations. Cant wait to donate some of my old books that have perfect conditions and have to ask my mom so we can also donate my baby brother swing once he gets older

Sell your kids old stuff here, although you get $2 on average per item, still money to spend on stuff for your kids.

Love this place. Each time my kids need to size up, we come to once upon a child. We drop maybe $50/kid and get a whole wardrobe in their new size. I dont know how we would afford the constant growing out of clothes without this store. My one complaint is that the aisles are so tight it becomes hard to navigate when its busy, especially if you use a cart or stroller. If possible, I suggest visiting when less people are likely to be there.

This Efison location is pricey and has less shoes than the Fairfield branch. I think Ill stick with Fairfield branch.

I understand that you need to make money but a swing that one point cost $160 bucks.. not even worth $10 bucks?! I am so disappointed in this place! How you think thats a deal i dont know.. Today was my 1st time ever coming to a once upon a child and it was great! The associates are really nice, friendly and welcoming. I waited about 30 mins for them to look through the big bin I had. They bought some really good stuff of mine, almost everything actually. I made out with nearly $200, which I felt was reasonable. They have a really nice selection of clothes and shoes, everything is organized very tidy and neat, really good books for all ages. Pleasant experience :)

I was there today to bring some items, the woman who rung up my transaction was wearing her mask around her neck and was coughing the first time towards my direction the second in her elbow. I thought it was very rude. The point the mask is to wear it. If its mandatory for customers to wear a mask in the store it should apply to employees as well. I will be VERY upset if I get sick this was the first time Ive been out the house in months needless to say I have a baby as well.

If you have an infant or a toddler this is the best place to shop. We used to buy new shoes for our 2-4 yr old. What a mistake! Shoes, Toys, jeans, swim wear, sleep wear, etc. is very good and much cheaper than new. The point is -- you do not need new at that age. I gave 3 kids 4 and under and I wish I have discovered this store sooner.

I have a 2 year old and I buy most of her clothes there. I recommend this store to all family and friends with children. This location specifically is awesome. Ive been to another with a much smaller selection. Buying and selling is quick and easy. Getting ready to move and dont want to drag all of the old baby stuff with me, so whatever didnt sell at my yard sale I brought there. They took most things and I made a few hundred bucks. Cant beat that!

Great clothes for a decent price. They dont hive you bags so bring your own or youll have to buy from them, which is better for the environment. Highly recommend even though they have inflated their prices over the past year because thrifting became trendy.

Do most of my toddlers clothing shopping here now. The clothes and items are organized. Good, CLEAN condition. The staff is always helpful and their deals are UnReal sometimes. They maintain a nice seasonal section with makes special occasion shopping a breeze. We need to support quality, local businesses like this.

Go here if you have a child and don’t mind him wearing second hand clothes. I have an 8 month old that wears 18month outfits. They grow out of it so fast! The only negative is that it’s packed. Too many people cause of all of the awesome deals. Oh, and you can bring all of your kids old clothes and toys that he doesn’t wear and play with anymore and sell them over there and buy new stuff With that money.

I like shopping at this store most times and hate selling all of the time. As I sit here and go through all of the clothes that were rejected, sizes 3t-4, I can’t help but to feel lost. Many of my clothes were gently used. I even have new jeans and pants my daughter only worn once! Yet when I shop at Once Upon A Child, I come across badly worn clothing mixed with gently worn. The question always remains, why are my things being rejected? Even the shoes I find there are often times in horrible condition!!! Yet again, my shoes are often rejected! I have, along with many of my family members, have spent a lot of money here. It is very disappointing.

The store manager is not only nasty but unprofessional, Kira should not be the manager of anything, she refused to return a you we bought by accident 5 minutes after purchasing claiming it was clearance because the color tag was old, it had no clearance sticker and the signs say yellow clearance tags are clearance, this toy had a green sticker!!! Never will I shop at this poorly run store again!!! Buy off Facebook its easier and cheaper and you deal with nicer people!!

Sale items not clearly marked, especially clearance items. Makes it extremely hard to shop. Should just have a clearance section in each size.Goodwills are more organized, which is not a compliment to either.Maybe someday the stocking staff will step it up a notch, till then its not really worth the hassle when you can find the same things in less disorganized thrift stores.As for the stores response below. The items are not clearly marked. They have items between Sale plastic placeholders and then things in between those placeholders have no clearance stickers on them.You have to pull out every article of clothing to see if it has a clearance sticker stuck on its tag. Naturally things get mixed thanks to customers putting things back but thats what reorganizing is for. If you see how absolutely crammed their racks are, youll see pulling out every single article of clothing is a huge waste of time.

Great place to find basic kids clothes but when selling back expect basically nothing. They pay you about $1 an item, even high end, so be prepared.

Love this place. Environment is very clean and friendly. I was able to get what I needed with the help of an employee by the name of Genesis. She knew where everything was located and took the time to get what I needed. I will definitely come back.

Goodwill childrens store. If you sign up your phone number they will send you emails with coupons. After my first purchase they sent me a free $4 coupon with no minimum purchase so I actually got three items came out to $4.25 minus the $4 coupon I only had to pay a quarter. Only downside I noticed they are usually low boys toddler clothing. Sizes 6 to 9 months, 9 to 12 months and 12 to 18 months. The store is located directly on Route 1 in the strip mall near the peeps Diner in Edison

I went here with my sons barely used clothes - most of which hed only worn once, or not at all, as infants grow so fast - and this woman was nasty for no reason. She barely looked at the clothes, gave an attitude and ridiculous speech about how his clothes werent in style and they dont buy incomplete sets... Im sorry his clothes arent runway quality, but all were bought a month before his birth (this year).... some were even designer as they were shower gifts (Ralph Lauren and Rocawear). None of what I have is an incomplete set, but regardless, there is no reason to be ugly like that. If I could give a rating of 0 stars I would. Im never going back and will happily donate his clothes to this wonderful program instead - its not about the money, as I knew I wouldnt get a lot. Its about being treated with basic human decency. Plus, most of the clothes they had on sale were in far worse condition than my sons clothes, and the same price if they were newly bought.. what a joke.

ORIGINAL REVIEWI stopped by this store today and stumbled upon a high chair that was in decent shape. Upon further inspection I realize it was absolutely FILTHY. I understand that this store is a gently used store, meaning it is all previously owned items and that there is a certain amount of wear to be expected. But any time myself or people I know have sold items at other Once Upon A Child locations, the staff only accept things that have been THOROUGHLY cleaned. I asked one of the managers if they could take a few dollars off because of how dirty it was and she simply stated that it was gently used and was priced for the condition it was in but that she would be happy to wipe it down for me with Clorox wipes. I told her I would appreciate it and I would purchase since she was willing to wipe it for me while I continued shopping. I went up and paid and brought my items to the car.The high chair is a 4 in 1 and has multiple pieces that come off and what not so after bringing it to the car I had to take off all the extra parts. And to my surprise it is even more DISGUSTING than I originally thought. The tray and seat had been quickly wiped but I pull off the tray cover and there is literally crumbs EVERYWHERE I pull the seat part off and sure enough the bottom seat is also COVERED in crumbs, dried up food, and sticky with juice spilled all over it.I cannot believe that a store with such high standards not only sold me this item but accepted it from the original seller in the first place. I honestly should have turned around and went to get the manager who wiped it down for me and brought her to show her how disgusting this chair really was but I wasnt up for more dirty looks from the staff.How a company can sell an item that takes a customer hours to properly scrub, clean, and disinfect and claim that it was GENTLY used is beyond me....UPDATEDThe staff at this location is fabulous. After posting my original review I spoke with Laila and my problem was rectified completely. She apologized multiple times for my previous visit and changed my experience completely. I will 100% shop at this location again !!!

Went to this store today to bring in some clothes we had from our daughter. And they told us anything before 2017 was to old for them to buy. 90% of the clothes was in excellent condition and some of it even had tags. I wasnt aware that they wouldnt take clothes that were before 2017. I guess i wont be going there anymore. They should of told us when we called to see what we could bring. They didnt even bother going through all the clothes we brought in.

My friend recommended this place for me to sell my infants clothes that hes outgrown so i decided to try it out, first the attitude of the females that work there are TERRIBLE, 3 out of 5 are in no mood to work what so ever, the other 2 just stand around and dont bother attending you and once you get attended its just RUDE RUDE RUDE, i took 8 items to sell ALL from Gymboree, 15 minutes later i went to pick them up and she says oh we love the clothes and we love the style they took 6 out of 8 items and all i got was $8!! are you serious ?? so theyre buying each item for $1.35 and then go and sell them for like $10 its crazy !! not coming back here again, id rather donate my clothes than sell it for pennies and then get resold for triple its buy price

They sell used toys, strollers, accessories, books & etc. for newborns, infants &a toddlers. This place saved my at least $200. Of course, you cant compare their selection to large chains like Babies rus, but most of the time their prices are ridiculously low and stuff that they sell in good clean condition.

If you sign up for their club...you can not get off the list. You get constant emails and texts. I wentvthere once. I have requested to be removed 3 times to no avail.

One of the better organized used child toy and clothing stores. Tons of clothes and toys. Found a lot of fun toys for my kid.

Gently used baby items- this place ROCKS!!! They have everything- from newborn bouncy seats to trucks for kids! Shoes, clothes, toys and everything in between!
