Good selection of books and magazines. Good service reminds you why you should buy in brick and mortar stores instead of getting everything online.

Clean, well-stocked store. Polite employees. Wish there was a bit more diversity in titles beyond classics and best sellers. But overall, a nice place for bookworms like me.

Love this place its not just books, there are lots of novelty items. They have a nice collection of paraphernalia featuring TV shows like The Golden Girls, Friends etc. Magazines and puzzles, something for everyone!

I love to read and to shop so Books-a-Million is always a treat for me. They also have a lot of T-shirts and other cool book or pop culture merchandise. If youre a member of the BAM book club you get a discount, too. Id definitely recommend this store.

This Books-A-Million is a great book store with plenty of selections. My kids like all the toys you can find there. Anime, Harry Potter, you name it. I wish there were more of the stores in Illinois. Such fun.

They have a good variety of manga and an okay selection of fantasy and romance novels. Their main focus seems to be on best sellers and popular authors, but not so much on books that came out a few years ago. The staff seems friendly enough, but have a tendency to avoid customers.

Always has what Im looking for and even books and magazines Im not looking for. Helpful and friendly staff.

Wife bought some books here and upon checkout was told she could sign up for some FREE trial magazine subscriptions. She chose 3 that suit our family knowing we would likely cancel after the free trial. She never gave credit card details for the magazine trial and was never told her card details would be forwarded to another company. Several days later she got an email stating she would get her $190 PER MONTH subscription beginning the next day.This is completely outrageous and your staff needs to be trained to properly explain what they are selling. We will never shop here, or any of your stores ever again.

Nice selection of books, seems a little crowded with all the displays in the walking isles. Customer service was great.

Love this store. 1st time visit and was really impressed. Big selection of books. Good prices. I have a teenage daughter and the selection of books for her was amazing. Coffee shop in the back was really good as well. Will definitely go back.

Kids and I love coming here to shop and look around...with that being said...the older lady at the counter needs a different job or therapy. She got so mad for me not wanting to sign up for yearly membership...then she asked what free magazines I wanted to sign up for...i told her no thank you....she threw the paper at the computer screen she was so angry. Seriously what is wrong with some people. Maybe if membership was not $25 I would think about it. I would love to know the commission they receive to get people to sign up.

The bookstore itself is very nice and welcoming. The older woman at the register is not. She kept pressuring me to buy a membership card and when I said I wasn’t interested she reexplained. I reiterated that I was just not interested. She then ROLLED HER EYES and when I said “have a good day” she just huffed and puffed. Y’all should just fire her honestly. It seems that based on all the reviews she is your main problem.

Absolutely love spending time up here cause of all the cool stuff for the nerds as well as the variety of books. and not just for the genres i read its a huge bookstore with something to offer for everyone. the books are a little disorganized but I cant complain otherwise.

Clean organized. Was looking at a display in the middle isle and an associate. Which I would have asked her name so I could have called her out with kudos, mentioned there was more of what I was looking at over there in that isle, as she pointed. That was very helpful, and appreciated. Some associates im sure could have just walked by. I truly appreciate that. The cashier was okay. Had to greet him first and make he converse. No energy of customer service there. Overall. Id return.

This store is always tidy and well organized! Workers are friendly and make sure customers get what they need. Always a stop we must make when shopping in Edwardsville.

Absolutely loved this place! They have a huge variety of books for everyone including a good variety for thoughs who are Wiccan or looking to get into it, and have trouble finding good books!Not only this but they have lots of other cool merchandise like notebooks, mugs, crystals etc. (Like ones I got below)Staff is super nice and helpful and they even have a coffee area in the back if you need food/drinks and just to sit for a bit.

First time in this bookstore. Was blown away by the selection and really enjoyed the atmosphere...until I went to check out. I asked about a rewards card. I was given a price Id have to pay and let the cashier know I didnt have the cash in me that day, but would check into it later. She told me I had to consider it, as it may not be there on my next visit. I said I would just have to take that chance. She then said I was eligible for four free magazine subscriptions and again, I said I wasnt interested. She then asked if I would buy a toy for a child for Christmas, what didnt she understand when I said I didnt have extra money that day. She then acted like I was dirt, took my money and turned around and went about her business. I left upset and thought, well, last vist here. Maybe they expect anyone who lives in that area has money to burn. I was only there to pick up a collectors magazine, not to be belittled for my financial decisions

I went to get a few books for Christmas presents. There are a lot of sales going on right now for books, calendars, planners, t-shirts, toys and other items. A nice relaxing place to visit. Very polite and helpful sales associates.

Great book selection. I would suggest more of a soft sell on the rewards club. Personally wanted to pop in and pick up a few stocking stuffers and ended up with a delay due to that and reward magazine subscription offer as a reward.

A relaxing experience just to walk around and see all the options. Love the stationary and small gift area.

Wonderful place to buy gifts for anyone. Large Harry Potter section and Alice in wonderland. Bought my first tarot cards there. Friendly staff!

Good prices excellent choices

A book store on the Monday before Christmas...yes, it was very busy, but I have to share my pleasant surprise at how quickly they moved people through the lines, and still observing Covid protocols.I wish every business was so proactive and considerate.Plus, I was able to buy books, games, stocking stuffers, coffee mugs, Godiva chocolates and more, wiping out all my last minute holiday shopping, and with their membership program, I saved $80! I love this place!

I understand its Covid and all, but I found a secluded chair on the side of the cafe, away from everyone to nurse my baby. Didnt think it was an issue, since I was literally by myself. A worker came over and told me because of covid, I need to go nurse in my car. I said I thought it was fine, since I was the only one around, and she said because they dont know whos been sitting there, and told me to go nurse in my car. Well, lady, if this area is closed, then no one has been. I said nothing to her, and abruptly left. regardless of covid, it is still illegal to kick a nursing mother out of a store.Update: For the record, I was in Target today and needed to nurse, and they graciously allowed me to use the nursing room. When I asked, they said absolutely you can. Be more like Target.

Has a good selection of books but less of what I like than in years past. Plenty of games and gifts. A great shopping place for birthdays or Christmas. Joe Muggs Cafe has a nice selection, too.

Good place to get a gift for an avid reader

What a great bookstore! Lots of books on every subject. Role playing games, a huge assortment of Pop figures and blindbags, and lots of themed gift items. The cafe offers everyday and seasonal drinks and food. Restrooms are clean and staff was helpful. Easy to get to and plenty of parking.

This book store can be kind of hit-or-miss. There are times I find lots of great deals and then other times it seems like their prices arent competitive. They have a good variety. Plus, fnding a staff member to answer questions generally isnt too difficult.

Great place to find what your looking in books for the most part. Wish the philosophy section was a little bigger. There is also a very good selection of gifts and other unique items to discover. The coffee shop has a good selection. Highly recommend this establishment.

Love this place! My only annoyance was the dozen or so customers in line and 2 people at the counter. But one of them was on the phone for at least 5 minutes while the line kept growing and the other was answering a customers questions which held up the line. After the one got off the phone, another cashier came up and there were 3. The line was moving faster after that.

Really great section of books and items for all ages and people but it is cheaper to buy most stuff online. Although there are also store exclusive stuff i cant find online. The staff are nice and its extremely organized. I highly recommend going here for your book shopping extravaganza.

This place have a great book selection of different categories. And if you not coming for books well they have other things like music, and shirts. The establishment also have a cafe inside so before you make a decision on a book, you can grab a coffee, and read a bit before purchase. I found a good book for a very reasonable price, and Im pretty sure you will be able to find a book you enjoy ad well.

Books-A-Million has so many great attributes. The book selection is great, and theres usually sales going on. There is a kid section thats amazing and is very welcoming. The little coffee place in the back is nice, but service could be improved. The barista was slow to come to the register to take orders, but otherwise the service was quick and she was polite.

Friendly staff. Clean store. Love browsing around and finding interesting books, comics, magazines etc.

Books-a-Million has been one of my favorite places ever since my 3 boys were little. Theyve always been outgoing and friendly and made us feel do welcome....and their books, events and their coffee are always a good choice! We still love it there!
