Tasty treats, but run by teenagers who slice bananas with long fake nails and without gloves on. *CRINGE* My turtle ice cream was awesome, but overflowing the cup and a total mess. I waited forever before giving up on asking for a wet towel to get the ice cream stickies off my hands. At least the pecans were deliciously toasted. If you’re not in line to buy, they will avoid eye contact at all cost, it seems.

I came here with my family yesterday and this sweet girl named Reagan helped me out! She was very patient with all of my questions and made dining here very pleasant! She’s a very hard worker! The staff here is always very sweet and that definitely makes a good difference! The new owner is doing amazing with his new hires keep it up! Definitely will be returning!

Stopped by today for a pumpkin concrete and fries. Everything was delicious and prices were great. Im going to have a hard time driving by this place now without stopping for ice cream!

Best service and ice cream ever!!! north side is so nostalgic to me, and nothing has changed! i visited north side for the first time on july 14, 2021 since before the pandemic, and Devin made the experience so great!! theyre the kindest person ever and i wish them the best :) also, remember everyone, the space these workers are in is tiny (meaning ice creams take time to make when theres big parties), so please dont get angry at the workers for the long wait time. theyre doing the absolute best and theyre so very awesome!! :D

Hands down my favorite ice cream shop. The twist vanilla and orange sherbet is the best!! So happy to see it was still around.

The vanilla ice cream was cold and dipped in a chocolate shell, it was perfect. And the French fries was dried nice and super crispy!!! Not over done....perfect with there seasoning.

Northside Dairy Haven is a great local spot for ice cream cones, sundaes, concretes, burgers and more.You can enjoy their outdoor seating, get some to go or drive through.During my last visit, I had a large hot fudge sundae and they dont skimp on the hot fudge like some other places Ive been!With so many chain places around that get away with poor quality because they have big advertising budgets, Northside is like taking a little trip back to how things should be...and taste!Quick service and many tasty delights with very reasonable prices.

One of the most nostalgic places in Edwardsville. As a family, weve been going there since I was a toddler in the 70s. Not much has changed - the same fantastic charco burgers as I remember.

Ordered 1/4 cheezeburger. Patty was same thickness as a McDonalds cheeze burger. And was burnt black on one side so bad i tasted more carbon then meat. No flaver other then that.

Great new owners! Love this place, best ice cream around. We drive all the way from Millstadt just for the orange twist! Thank goodness the old owners sold (the woman was quite rude!) Cant wait to see the changes new management makes.

Service is slow. Waited 25 minutes for a burger, fries and shake. Order was wrong and was rudely told by the older lady (owner) it will be a 30 minute wait. The place isn’t worth all the hype it used to be years ago. Advice to the owner: Sell the business to a competent team that can properly manage the business and don’t be rude toward loyal customers.

They carry some harder to find food items like fried okra & a pizza burger. They have burgers, sliders, a specialty charco burger, coney dogs, grilled ham & cheese, a few different fries, onion rings, and since new ownership, a pork steak platter special.Service is delightful but have some patience everything is made to order but does not take an excessive amount of time.Drive thru moves fast- walk up is always available. There are several picnic tables for sitting outside. Bring cash or expect a fifty-cent charge for using your debit/credit card.An Edwardsville staple.

Fish Friday it could have been better, the new owners havent figured it out yet, one thing I would like is for the employees and owners to would recognize returning customers and make sure the order is right, previous owners would come to the drive thru and chat for a second and then walking away letting me know that my order would be right.

I’ve been going to Dairy Haven since I was a kid. You have to love the menu. You’ll stare at it for an hour before you pick your concoction. All original recipes and REAL ice cream.

This little place is a gem on the edge of downtown. I love everything. Growing up the tradition was orange sherbet. Teenage years graduated me to cookie dough concrete. The food is good too and highly cost effective. My mom loves their burgers. I definitely recommend Northside!

Cant say enough about this place, its like stepping back in time. Great ice cream, great food, old school ice cream stand vibes. Take your kids here after a little league practice for a cheeseburger and an ice cream. (They even have one for your dog!) The owners are great and the staff is super friendly. Been coming here for over 20 years, its the official taste of summer in Edwardsville for me!

Stopped in for desert after shopping. The orange sherbet and vanilla swirl was great. My wife had a concrete, it was good also. They have several tables and umbrellas and some shade trees. The service was fast and not expensive.

Basic ice cream shop with a variety of options on how to eat ice cream or add various items like chocolate, cookie dough, nuts, sprinkles, etc.Food delivery is somewhat slow, but its because its fresh.Seating is nice but since the parking lot is covered in rock it can be dusty at times.Weekends can be very busy here but worth it if you like avoiding chain restaurants or dont want to drive forever for Ted Drewes.The area is definitely dated and reminds you of the early 80s ice cream shops. This place does offer drive through service as well.Be advised a 50 cent service charge is added to credit cards!

This is the best frozen custard in the Edwardsville area. Forget about Annies or Bobbys. North side has then beat not only in great taste but in serving and price. The staff is always friendly, too.

This is my go to place a few times a week. Especially on Friday. You will be hard pressed to find a better fish sandwich in town. This family owned place knows how to do it! Friendly staff, great food that is cooked to order, never had a mess up on my order. The only complaint is that they close during winter!

Love taking my kids to Northside on a nice day. On my latest trip I had a Charcoburger, fries, & a Pumpkin Concrete... a fine Friday evening meal!

If I could make out with a burger, and it wouldnt be weird, I would totally make out with their Charco Cheeseburger. Wow. The tomatoes were actual tomatoes. Not some tasteless genetically whatever mess you find in the store, but a legit tomato. That was from a plant in the ground. I guess Id make out with the tomato too.

Best place for ice cream in Edwardsville, Illinois. Every flavor is great in its own way and theres something for everyone. Try it and youll be greatly impressed!
