Vision center is FANTASTIC! This was my first time scheduled appointment. So pleased. Every person I dealt with was wonderful. Phyllis checked me in and was so pleasant and charming. Dr. Hohenbary was thorough and made exam so nice. Lance was so helpful getting my glasses ordered and just what I needed. I found my new provider.

Nice people close to truck stop but no overnight parking for trucks

I stopped going inside Walmart stores this February 2021. I will order from them online but will not go into the stores. I get my prescriptions there because they have curbside service. That has not been the case the last three times Ive been there and I had to go inside which I do not like. Considering changing all my prescriptions over to Walgreens because they have a drive-thru.

Things arent organized at all in that store! Im lucky enough to have just been visiting the state when I stopped in there! So happy to be back at my home Walmart!

Remodeling taking place. It is pretty much the main store for people within at least a 20 mile radius. There are times the stock is depleted but if you can wait on their restock they will have it. Customer service seems better during the daytime vs night

Was very clean. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of truck and RV parking

Dont like all of the self checkouts. Few human manned checkouts. It may reduce labor costs, but the increased time is not a savings to the customer. I wonder about prices havent changed.

My fiancé and I had a flat tire while we were traveling. The automotive department at this Walmart was so helpful. Sterling went out of his way to make sure we got the tires we wanted at the correct price. Our tires were put on very quickly and we were back on the road. What a great experience

Hire some cashiers it was just like this before the labor shortages. At least now you have a good excuse for your customers waiting up to 25 min to give you their 💰

This was a beautiful super center. Very clean and well cared for. As usual, the girl that checked us out was only there for a paycheck. Its really hard to find Associates that love people and act like it. Mostly they barely acknowledge the customer and forget about any kind of conversation.

They are almost always sold out of 1/3 of the items in the store, their meats are often turning grey and their frozen goods looks like a blizzard blew through it; ice build up on products and shelves is insane. Almost nothing being done to enforce public health mandates either, even employees in the /pharmacy/ are unable to follow proper mandates. Shocking.

Drop the prices more since I have to work to buy my own merchandise. Self checkouts suck! Reminds me of a coalmine camp. I avoid Walmart at all COST! I would rather give it to our community first, even if it is more expensive.

This store is always very busy... as a result some popular items are sometimes out of stock. Otherwise its a great store.

Employees are very nice and help you learn how to scan your products to put them out where they belong

Its a decent size walmart so typical does have a clearance isle some dont this one does

They are real helpful. If they arent sure they will help you look. Everyone is nice and will smile.

I guess this place is alright. 🤣😂🤣 The shelves are still pretty understocked with covid. At least its clean but you will rarely find a register open. 😞

As for Walmarts go, this one is huge and has a large selection of nearly everything one would expect Walmart to supply. With both end self checkouts, getting in and out is very convenient. Employees seemed helpful enough, so if in the Effingham IL area, this Walmart is a good one to find what is needed. Plenty of parking for all vehicles, even semis.

The store is a complete mess..the cashiers that they do have running registers do a good job. However they close customer service earlier than they are supposed and the CSM refuse to open a register to cash checks or get money orders

They redid the inside remodeled the inside of the Walmart a little bit it looks really nice

No overnight RV parking thats only reason for the 3 star. nice clean store

The associates were pleasant to sit with, while I was waiting on a donation for my traveling.

Understand updates have to be done but damn put the merchandise where you can see and find what your looking for and purchase. Also when a person has big bags of animal food dont have the cashier ask you want me to scan them in the cart. Sure let me lift it again on to the belt and put them back in the cart for you. Its why I put the scan codes towards you.

Effinghams Walmart is the best of all I have been too

Lack of help. Lots of employees on the floor but no one working the deli at 3 pm on a Friday. Empty shelves. The produce section was in good order

Not the best Walmart, they were great when they were open 24 hours but have really fell off in the past year. They are always out of at least 1 or more items were needing when we go. They also like to stock the shelves and take up room in the aisles (blocking off product) during busy hours. The cashiers are usually pretty friendly. The pharmacy area is good. Electronics is usually good and easy to find someone.

Greeter could not be bothered to so his simple job. Looked very disgruntled. Better keep an eye on him.

Not sure what they are doing to this Walmart but its a mess! Cant find anything here. It looks like they are moving stuff around. But they have more than one area with the same things in them. Hard to find anything. Highly disappointed in most of the Walmart stores anymore.

Maybe it was because I was an obvious out of towner but never again would I enter this walmart!!We stopped in this Walmart to pick up a few things on our way to see my grandson graduate from Navy Bootcamp and noticed an amazing clearance (unlike any we see in CS Tx) so naturally scooped up many sale items, being seasoned Walmart shopper I walked for more possible clearance and was immediately tagged to be watched by employees, ok no biggie, but because the lack of cashiers was in self checkout and immediately had a CSM watch my every transaction (maybe they should have opened a register so I didnt have to do check out) but whatever, so as I scanned the last 2 items and was attempting to open another bag to put items in the employee loudly asked me if I paid for those last 2 items! What ? I mean thought you were watching. But I informed her that of course I did as the line was getting longer but her comment was I will have to make sure and looked at my whole purchase then apologized for making a scene. Really!? I ask why was I singled out? Because I was new to this Walmart? Because I had a disability? Or that I was with my Hispanic friend? Makes one wonder....

SEMITRUCK PARKING!!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!?!? LOVE THIS PLACE. As a truckers wife it was great to be able to get our truck restocked and get on the road quickly. These should be at all your stores.

Great place to find what you want and need. Good prices. Even better fact is that it can serve as a great place to exercise.

It is always too busy for me, I miss the 24 hours, I dont want to be in a rush to get out and if I cant frequent late night, I think that it was just nice and quiet shopping in the early morning.

Its a good one, and i liked there cart (for the infant/toddler ) when you go get groceries coz my baby enjoyed riding on it, its different from the other Walmart cart.

I love this Walmart. I love how it is surrounded by many businesses and I can get a lot done. and they are also hiring if you need a job you should apply. They have a variety of manythings you can buy.

A trucker friendly Walmart. Separate parking spots are available for ten trucks. Easy in easy out. Nice place to spend night and replenish your supplies. Mother truckers dont litter the area in order to keep enjoying the facility.

Doing a remodel, the store was pure chaos.... only 2 checkers open. The rest was self checkout, which I refuse to use, and so should every other american.... it was a total disgrace...

It is under renovation in Effingham but it looks like it will be very modern

Im not a fan of Walmart in general(doesnt matter the location, as a lot of my complaints apply to various stores..) Typically out of ALL the check out lanes, only about 4-5 are ever open and thus the lines are obnoxiously long! As in, on average a person can wait up to 20+min before being checked out. Their Self Checkouts rarely work properly and are also always so busy that getting assistance when it malfunctions can take just as long as a regular checkout lane would! Trying to find help while shopping in any of the various departments is always a hassle.. All in all, I only shop at any Wal-Mart if I absolutely have no choice

Now that everything is being restocked sooner its enjoying to go in and as a bonus you will always run into someone you know. Very enjoying

Buying diabetes test strips for a family member, got the wrong ones. Walked back in 2 minutes after i bought them, would not exchange.

Wal-Mart has been redoing their floor plans, I had to find 2 different associates in order to locate items. Check out is terrible, even when doing self check out the lines are long. This place gets 3 stars ONLY because of the workers.

We alled ahead to find a certain rand of tire.we were told they had 7 in stock. We drive to store to find out they did not have the brand we asked for!

Only popped in for a few items. Self check out was fast and easy.

Convenient for truck drivers its almost across the street from the TA Truck Stop And Flying J was busy but still had no problem getting in and out. If you park across from pickup side next to hotel your good plenty of space for Truck and trailer

Very friendly and helpful. Much better than the Mount Vernon, IL Walmart which only had one cashier with a line of about 15 people waiting to check out. That was ridiculous.

I was looking for tennis shoes and white socks. The store did not have my size in tennis shoes or they had no crew socks. It was a waste of time of going but normally they have plenty of stock. Its generally has plenty of stock. Effingham is happy to this store.

Shelves are stocked very nice, very clean store, in and out quickly!

Walmart was clean, there was some things out of stock in some places, but for the most part well stocked. Staff was courteous and helpful. Items were easy to find. I had to find olives, they were with pickles rather than other vegetables, but all other items on my list were easy to find.

Love the curbside pick up for prescriptions and pickup for groceries/other items. It has made my trip to town so much easier.

Horrible stocking and foods in multiple aisles that are incorrect. No workers to help look for stuff. Aisles full of nothing and no open guidance.

Never stocked always outta what I need but can go to another Walmart in another town and they are stocked with every thing mattoon il Walmart sux

Only stopped to get gas. It seemed the majority of cars have the filler on the drivers side. Walmart need to take this into account and let traffic pull up to the pumps from both directions

The site to store set up is not efficent. I scanned my phone at the kiosk and waited and waited. I pushed the help button after 4-5 minutes, and waited and waited. After waiting several minutes later, I pushed the help button again. And waited again. I asked three different associates to call for help. The third one did. My items were brought out of somewhere, but not the lockers designed for that. It was so much more practical when you simply went to the service desk and showed your pickup request.

Waited 50 minutes to buy ammo just to be told that there is no one at effingham il walmart that can sell ammo

Very nice to see a Walmart Super Center, Effingham, IL well staff with WalMart associates all of them where outstanding, pleasant and all had smiles on their faces, very big difference compare to the Walmarts in Orlando you cant find an associate on the store like you do here, Walmart make sure you keep them and pay them well. For sure Ill be back in the near future to purchase more items. 👍👌

I have celiac disease, and as a trucker, I need whole goods and gluten free diet. They provide some things. These kind Walmarts that you can park in are great as I only prepare my food on the truck these days. Keep then clean and be respectful

Never enough check out lands open. Probably one of the lowest rated Walmart Ive been in. Seems more like a dollar general.

Went thru drive thru & ordered 3 dinners:1) 3 pcs of Atlantic Cod w/mashed potatoes & coleslaw2) 10 pcs Jumbo Shrimp w/mashed potatoes & coleslaw3) Roast Beef w/fries & coleslawWe all greatly enjoyed our meals even though we had 2 wait a little longer then your typical fast food but we wud gladly do it again. Very flavorful, warm, & enough 2 make u satisfied.Also ordered strawberry & chocolate shakes which the guys LOVED. I ordered a vanilla malt & it was scrumptious!!U really want 2 bring the family here or get take outs. Very clean outside, plenty of parking, employees were very helpful & kind. Just Go For It!!!
