I disagree that Without proper certification and training, HVAC units are impossible for a homeowner to install themselves. In 2012 I installed a 2.5 ton HVAC in my home by myself in La Mesa. ASI was very complimentary of the work when I had them come out to charge the system. US Air Conditioning was kind enough to let me purchase supplies at that time. It is very technical but there are many certified contractors that have un certified laborers design and install for them.So what difference does it make? US Air conditioning should sell to the public and let the city take care of quality control and code requirements.
