El Cajon Smog Test & Repair provides friendly, fast, cost efficient service. The owner is straight-forward and honest. Ive had several repairs done, including brakes, oil change and tires. The service is stunningly fast. The repairs have been reliable and the price was reasonable (cheaper than several other local shops). I have found my new car guy.Highly recommend.

Great service! Took it in & left it overnight. They went through it & fixed what needed to be done, did my smog check after & now my car runs like NEW!! WOULD RECOMMEND to anyone who needs work done. Very nice owner & staff.

They told me my ODB2 plug was removed and they cant smog. Turns out my van (a 1995) doesnt have an odb sensor at all and you have to use a totally different method. Then they said give me 800$$ and Ill pass it! Wth I left immediately! I want my van fixed, not rigged or passed illegally.

I took my car in for a host of issues and it was done quickly and efficiently. It was a drastic difference driving it after it was all done. They did an excellent job and the owner communicated very well before doing any work, to make sure I wanted it done. I appreciated the communication and a job well done! I will continue to use this shop when I need it!

This is very cheap place and very unprofessional workers there. I brought in my Corolla for 2 tires and oil change, they broke my tire sensor. And they told me my car don’t have sensor, after hours of argument they just glued it and let it go, I hope nobody experience this.

Brought my car for ac issues, the owner of shop “fixed” my car in 30 seconds for $80 🤦🏽‍♂️ .. later that night ac were not cold again, had to wait 2 days to return the car just for this guy to say it’s the coolant and try charging me an addictional $350 on something that costs $100 when I had asked him what I was charged $80 for he gave me a whole explanation that made 0 sense. 0/10 recommend this place they will hustle you out of your money!!

Ive taken two of my vehicles here. A dodge 3500 for leaking oil from oil pan, main seal and head. They did a good job and told me if it ever leaks to bring it back out had guarantee. Took aMy gmc sierra also after the transmission blew. He was honest and upfront,and was able to find me a good used one. Ive had them redone before, and hes right, they never come out perfect. His prices are fair, and likes to earn your trust and your business.

Stopped in last week. No one was out front, I had to walk around to find someone who worked there. Asked about a smog check. The guy told me the machine was broken. When I asked well, do you know when it would be back up? he just shrugged and walked off. End of interaction. Glad I only wasted 10 minutes on this place.

I have an older car that needed the breaks and tires changed. The mechanic who assisted me let me know that there was a minor oil leak coming from the engine and suggested that we patch it. He asked me what I could pay and I told him honestly what I could afford and he worked with me. These guys are very nice and I plan on going back in the future. Also the work done has given me nothing to complain about. Also they refilled most of my fluids just to be nice.

This is my second time in a row using this place to smog my car. Both times I was met with great customer service and my wait time was within 15 minutes.

Place was full at 8am but cleared up very quickly. I was just there for a smog test but Im so grateful that it was pointed out to me that there was almost no oil left in my engine. I was about to go for a 5 Hour Drive, the team here were a huge help! I was in and out in about 30 or 40 minutes, smog test and oil change for $60. Cant beat it.

I called to see about pricing ahead of time and found out that they take walk ins for oil changes so I went on in. I thought theyd be busy, but they werent, they got me in and out super quickly. The oil change took less than 30 minutes, and it was only 30 dollars. Thats the best value Ive found so far. The mechanics did not try to pressure me into buying more services than I had come in for. All in all, Ill be coming back next time my car needs to be serviced. Impressive customer service, great prices, and amazingly quick. New fave auto place.

Solid place. Straight shooter on repairs wasnt trying to sell me on anything. Original quote from another shop was $1500 and 2 days of repair. They did in in 2 hours for $300.My 2nd time here and the only downside is business is picking up so space to park is limited.

And I’m very happy to report that I’ve left feeling 100% satisfied every time.The shop owner’s name is Wilson, who’s not just a man of his word but is very friendly and easy to deal with. He’s very knowledgeable of both foreign and domestic mechanical issues. During the past two years I’ve returned maybe a half dozen times and found him to accurately diagnose, price, perform and deliver the final bill without any up-charging for additional hidden needs that were discovered only after work began etc — unlike many dishonest mechanics in that business. Wilson has stayed true to his word with each of my visits. He quickly completes the repairs or services exactly just as he quotes. Truly first rate!
