I actually am still scratching my head about my experience at this service station. I went in for a smog test. I never actually got a smog test but I was called in so they could show me a bulletin about a certain year of Jeep’s not able to finish the o2 monitor on the obd. I was told that my jeep wouldn’t pass smog. Take it to a dealer and they would fix the issue for free. They said they would fix it for $162.So...I’m calling around trying to get an appointment at a dealer. I finally just decide to go to the smog station I have always gone to over the years. My jeep passes smog!

I dropped in here one day to have them help me with my check engine light. Ill tell you what, Bryan was the best of the best. He was happy to run over to my truck, pull the code, and told me how I could go about fixing it myself on the cheap. He was super cool the entire time; not a Mr know it all or anything. Just a super nice dude. Next time I need to actually get something done, Im going to rancho auto because of this experience. Says alot about how these guys operate.

Falsely advertised as a Napa Auto Care. They are not AAA approved. Had that in the window as well. Im contacting the BBB to verify any other information I can. Guy quoted me all kinds of stuff wrong with my car thats not wrong with it. When I asked for him to quote out the parts that I wanted replaced he wouldnt do it because he wasnt making all that money. Try telling me that it was a safety issue. However there were things that were safety issues that were overlooked right in front of his face. Did not know down that my abs was not working properly or even that the ABS light was out not indicating the failure.Find a real Napa Auto Care or quality person.

The man at the service & appointment desk was very knowledgeable. We were on time for our appointment and the technician completed the test within 20 minutes. We appreciate the great service and excellent customer care!

Top notch shop. I just put new rims and tires on my car and rebuilt the front end on it so it needed an alignment badly. I arrived Saturday morning expecting a wait as I didnt make an appointment. Saturday seems to be the busiest day since most of us patrons are off of work. They initialized the alignment and found my right rear was way out of specifications. They ordered a shim kit for it and got it spot on! Steve and the technician did an excellent job in taking care of my cars needs. I was wondering if I shouldve taken it elsewhere, but I think if I did, another shop wouldnt have taken the time to get the shim kit it needed and just get me out the door. My car now drives perfectly down the road with a smile on my fat face! If you need car work, this shop is honest and very professional. Make an appointment so you wont have to wait for hours. Ive seen many customers come in for oil changes even though theres a quickie lube place located right in front of this shop....must be telling us something. Thank you Rancho Auto Service for the excellent experience!

I recently took my two Prius vehicles to Rancho Auto Service, one for 100,000 mile service, and one for an oil change, and advice on replacing my tires. Bryan at the front desk was perfectly helpful, both times. Service was quick, the waiting area was clean, spacious, comfortable, and offers free WiFi. Kinda everything you want in a great service shop.

Ive been to Rancho Auto Service two times now and Im so impressed with the service. The Manager went out of his way to explain what I needed. These guys are always great and honest. They kept me in the loop of what was wrong with my car. They even gave me the options of what to spend. And if your a AAA member I got a discount as well. My go to guys here in east county.

Bryan that runs the shop is a great mechanic. His explanation of the work needed to be done is to notch and he doesnt want to do work that isnt necessary. Ill continue to take my truck to him for service

Jeremy and Rancho Auto Service is the best and honest repair shop in East County. They don’t try to “up sell” and they are very reasonable in their labor rates. Just got my vehicle smog checked...20minutes in and out and $38.00 for check and certificate.

I brought my car in for a smog ck.Jeremy was friendly, and professional.I had an appt and was taken immediately.The ck was done quickly.RAS honored the online coupon I forgot to bring with me. 100% satisfied.

Quick smog check. Had my Jeep in and out very quick and no upselling. About as good of an experience as you can ask for.

Our battery kept dying on us so we drove into Rancho Auto Service for a check-up. We did not have an appointment but they took us right away. They did a diagnostic of the battery and alternator, determined that the battery was dead but the alternator was fine. Within 45 minutes we had a new battery. Service was friendly, quick and excellent!

My first visit to this shop was years ago, and the owner (not Bryan) was not ethical, and tried to rip us off. We have NEVER been back. Flash forward to yesterday, when my mom went in to get a warranty repair on her brakes. She ended up paying $300 dollars for rotors, because they claimed the warranty wasnt valid and wouldnt be honored. I wish she would have talked to me first, I would have told her NOT to go there. Again, not ethical. No stars (had to put one star or I couldnt post), and I am contacting the Bureau of Automotive Repair. :(

I went in to have a Star Smog check after upgrading the cars ECU (computer). It failed due to some sensors not yet resetting. Jeremy told me how to drive it for about 10 miles to allow them to cycle to normal. It worked, and he did not charge for the retest. I am so glad I tried them. My first time there, and I am very happy with honest, helpful service.

Super friendly relaxing place to get your oil changed. Staff is friendly and customer seating area is roomy and comfortable. Wifi+Usually dont trust car repair but feel Im getting an honest service at adequate prices. If youre in the El Cajon area your a few miles away from quality service. Also theres a Starbucks next door which couldnt be more convenient if you need a quick bite.P.s. Just noticed cell phone charging station and computer w/ internet. Both open to customers.

Went for an oil change & they broke off the top of the dipstick & didnt tell us. Had to take it to the dealer to get it fixed. I will never go here for anything at all again.
