I absolutely love Blue Tattoo Cafe. My first encounter was with Mason. He listened to what I wanted, made me feel comfortable, and explained everything in detail. Tommy was/is my artist. This man is magic with ink. He outdid himself. He went above and beyond what my original concept was. He was kind and thoughtful throughout the process. By far this is the best experience I have ever had getting a tattoo. You want the best? These guys are it!

Great shop, went looking for a tattoo and after visiting a few other shops I found Blue Tattoo Cafe. Right off the bat I was greeted by Joel and later by Blue. Both guys were really easy going and we talked about growing up in San Diego. My artist Joel did an amazing job on my piece, as well as started talking about the next piece Ill be getting as well. Ive been in a few tattoo shops this one had a great vibe and awesome people. This is a shop that I will most definitely come back to when Im in town.

I was visiting my friend in San Diego who suggested I come here to get my cover up done. George quickly and easily fit me into his schedule. He was very friendly and understanding when I wanted my design changed on the spot. He drew up a new image and I loved it. For my first time being here the atmosphere was great and the artists were incredibly friendly and kind. They offered drinks since there is a cafe connected to the actual tattoo shop. My tattoo artist was George and he did a phenomenal job on my tattoo, he answered all my questions and his artwork was super clean and detailed. Definitely coming back here again when I want another tattoo!

My eyeliner looks amazing! Mason took his time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure adding anesthetic when I needed it and including me in all decision-making so that I had just the look I wanted. Im totally satisfied! I highly recommend Mason and Blue Tattoo.

I found blue tattoo cafe online, and liked their work. My buddy and I went in to get a couple of pieces and they did a great job. The staff was friendly and the work they did was terrific. I will be coming back, and would recommend them to anyone.

Tommy Chong was my tattooist. Great guy, great artist, with more than enough talent. The Tattoo Cafe itself was pretty cool, with a chill waiting area / bar. I was happy with the labor rate and ink that I got, and I will definitely be getting my next tat there.

George did a great job on my tattoo!!! If I were to make any complaint, I ended up spending $150 more than I expected. Hourly business... so it happens... It took an hour longer than I was told it would initially.Thanks for the great work! If you want some very detailed work done, ask for George!

I had my tattoo designed and done by Tommy Chong, and I absolutely love it. This was my first tattoo and I was nervous about it, but he was so great and has such a calming, and light hearted attitude. I gave the description of what I wanted in my tattoo to Mason one evening when I visited and was told that when Tommy was done with it, Id get a call.I was nervous on what to expect, since it was my first...but when I went to see the sketch... I absolutely fell in love and realized that it was so much more than I had envisioned, and was ready to do it then and there, but of course I had to set up a time to come in and all that.Tommy was great, we had two sessions, one for the outline then one for the coloring. We talked, listened to music and I felt comfortable the whole time.This place is great and Tommy is awesome!!!

Just got my feather tattoo done by Danny and i have to say he did an absolutely amazing job! the location of the tattoo required me to be topless for the most part of the job but Danny wasnt inappropriate in any way and made me really comfortable and at ease; which i think is necessary, especially when youre getting a tattoo. I got the group on deal for this place and thats how i found out about it but i can definitely say that ill be back here for any future tattoos! THANKS! :)

I can admit, I was the annoying costumer that had to keep rescheduling my appointment. But the ENTIRE time they were patient and very understanding. One of the better shops ive been to. I am VERY satisfied with my tattoo!

Had dermals put in and was guaranteed to fix for life. Now that ones rejecting, I cant get an answer on the phone and mailbox is full. He did 5 total and I need 2 redone but dont want to repay a new piercer what Blue should redo. I paid several hundred bucks and was rescheduled a couple times by Blue. I just want my dermals fixed as promised.

Chong did an amazing design for me and my wife and cant wait to come back and complete my half sleeve. I gave him an idea and he came with some tips and advice and everything hit the bulls eye of what I wanted.

Tommy Chong is a true artist. My daughter insisted on getting a small tattoo for her 18th birthday, and her mother and I reluctantly agreed. Her friends told her to come here and have Tommy do it. He is very patient and listens to your wants and desires, and comes through with the right tattoo for you. She is very happy with the result, and so are we!!

My friend and I got some ink done and we had a great experience. Good people, good atmosphere, and good ink.

Blue tattoo cafe is THE place to go for some amazing work. I had my thigh piece done by blue and I could not be more elated with the results.He was quick to respond to my request as well as all of the questions I had (texting is best).This was especially difficult as I am an out of towner. Regardless; Blue was so patient and instantly made me feel comfortable.During the tattoo blue was consciously aware of my pain reaction and took care to take breaks when needed, as well as gave me food so as to keep my blood sugar on point.The result is absolutely stunning and cannot stop looking at the beautiful realistic piece he created.If your looking for great work and a an even better artist with a light touch at tattooing look no further..Blue mason is your guy.

One phone call to Blue Tattoo Café and I knew this would be my home tattoo shop. I called to ask about a Groupon deal and Mason was so pleasant and helpful.When I first went into the shop, I immediately noticed how clean and comfortable it was. I was able to sit down with Mason and work out exactly what I wanted for a tattoo.The work I had done is flawless and I highly recommend Blue Tattoo Café to all my friend and family.

I had gone to them back when they had a location in pacific beach and asked for a piece which involved a sinking ship in a bottle with some script. Tommy Chong (i kid you not his real name as far as i am aware) was my artist. He did an amazing job, his hand wasnt too heavy that it felt like it was digging in my skin, nor was it so light that i needed constant touch up. I did have some sky blue that was close to the armpit tht got touched up about a month afterwards, but other than that the color stayed perfectly and it has been about a year and half since I had the piece done. By far my cleanest most complimented piece of my sleeve, as it was a tribute tattoo to my navy officer grandfather, I couldnt be happier or more proud about it. Also Got my wifes name tattooed at the time. It was a last minute addition, and executed super straight, super beautiful, and finished in a timely manner. The entire staff is extremely friendly and comforting so even if you arent a seasoned tattoo receiver you will be put at ease and be able to handle a tattoo even in a most painful place. So for having a comfortable welcoming atmosphere and an artist (though im sure they all are top notch i only got inked by one) that can have a light hand and get the color deep enough to stay for life without need for touchup, i give this parlor 5/5. i would give it a 10/5 if i could.

You absolutely must get a Tattoo from Blue Tattoo Café. Me and my wife are from North Carolina and traveled to Blue Tattoo café to get Tattoos in memorium of our son who passed away. As you can imagine we wanted to find a Tattoo shop that will absolutely give an ultimate high quality Tattoo, which was clean, and with people who truly “CARED” for their clients. After much research Blue café Tattoo was all of the above and more.We were lucky enough to have Mason and Tommy be our Artists. At first we were apprehensive in going to ta tattoo parlor because we had to have our two kids with us. Once we walked in, Mason and Tommy totally made sure my family and I were welcomed. We felt absolutely comfortable with our decision.We only emailed Tommy and Mason and gave a vague description of what we wanted. For me a Tattoo of a Dragon wrapped around my forearm and a Dragon with a star, moon and clouds for my wife. it was the year of the Dragon when our son passed and we always wanted to have a personal reminder to keep him close. Tommy and Mason drew up exactly what we wanted and more. They are truly Artist worthy of giving the Tattoos we always wanted. Now we have our amazing Tattoos and couldn’t be happier. This is a remarkable shop with Tattoo Artists that have breathtaking talent. These guys absolutely love their job, and that’s extremely important. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting an incredible tattoo ………for whatever the reason.Thanks Blue Tattoo Café!

Nice place and good artists Def hit it up

$20 a hole?! No one in san diego can beat that. My boyfriend will only come to mellos to get pierced. He has gotten his belly button, eyebrow, nose, and snake bites all done here. The placing for each piercing couldnt be more perfect. I highly recommend this place for any piercing.
