Excellent experience here. I had a small project that needed a slab cut with a chiseled edge. After calling around several places and getting quotes (in a range between 1x and 5x of each other), I found State Stone Work. I actually saw their delivery van driving around town. I called and got Emad. He was honest, busy, and understood how to keep the cost down on my small project. Ill be doing work through him again. Its a bit of a drive for me from north county to his shop in El Cajon. But he delivers, at a reasonable price, and on time. Thats hard to come by.

I had called 4 different places because I was doing just a piece of black granite for my fireplace. 2 places never got back to me, 1 said the job was to small to consider and another place said they had an $800 minimum. All I needed was the piece made and I would install it. I called on a Saturday and Emad said come on down. I meet him he showed me what pieces of stone he had, gave me a price and said it would be done by next weekend. I called on Friday excited to pick up my granite and he said it would be done today by close and I could pick it up. He delivered, got the piece a day early, it looked great, I got a fair price and the employees helped me load it in my SUV. They will get all my business, I plan on doing my kitchen soon and trust their employees and the owner 100%. Emad runs his business like you would expect it to be run, with quality, integrity and honest workmanship. Not many places get a 5 star rating from me unless they exceed in their quality and workmanship, these guys earned it!

State Stone Works recently installed our granite countertops and did a great job. Emad created a fix for a trouble spot under a window and it looks great. Everyone was professional and courteous. They even returned to help us reinstall our range because it was a tight fit. Our kitchen is beautiful.

The owner and manager is Emad, an engineer with extraordinary good taste in stone design and remodeling. He guided us through the process of selecting slabs for two projects - bar renovation and fireplace surround. He gave helpful guidance and provided not only quality service deliver on time and within budget, but also created a beatiful design. He “mirrored” the stone pattern on the backslash. He also created a mitred edge for the hearth so that the pattern of the stone would continue all around - adding to the beauty of the expensive patterned stone that we selected. Emad is a perfectionist as are his installation team. Our general contractor, who completed other parts of the projects, said that “You just don’t see this kind of workmanship!” He was impressed, as are we! Emad gave us an excellent price for the stone and work. He has our highest recommendation!

State Stone provided a fair price estimate, design, and installation with complete professional service. Emad made the estimate and designed the cuts on site in less than an hour. Three days later his installers came and the project was done in 2 1/2 hours—less than 4 hours total in our home. I highly recommend State Stone.We had two estimates that came in a bit lower but each told us our kitchen would be torn apart for two days. Emad promised expedient work and he delivered. We provided our own prep work by taking out the plumbing and cooking appliances Thursday evening and by Friday noon counter-tops were installed and everything was ready for re-connecting—thats less than a 24 hour turn-around!Dont waste your time, call them today!

Our Home Owners Warranty insurance was replacing our gas cooktop. The installers delivered the new cooktop and, without opening the box, told us that the opening in the granite was too small and that we would have to hire someone to cut the opening to size. This was 4 days before Christmas. I called San Diego Stone. Emad said he could have a crew out the next day. HIs crew showed up on time with the proper equipment. When they looked at the opening, they said The new cooktop will fit with NO alterations. The charge for their visit was $150 which we paid willingly. Because the HO warranty contract says that all cabinet modifications are the responsibility of the homeowner, we didnt think that we would be reimbursed. However, because the HO warranty company could not find any installer before Christmas, they agreed to reimburse us for this expense. Thanks to Emad for his timely assistance!!

Remodeling kitchen and bathrooms cabinets and granite countertop are tough, check out 7 - 8 vendors of fabrication and installation for their capability and good job it takes time to check around. After check out pricing and visit their shop, I stop by at State Stone Work on Saturday to see how they are doing, it really impress what they set up for layout to cutting the granite, they computerize and handcrafted to detail for perfection. It has full scale of production on weekend just like any other days. I have two slabs of granite from Tosca Natural Stone for them to pick up, they are for island, kitchen and two bathrooms countertop, its around 120 sq/F, I just afraid it is not enough granite for them to make it for me, I may have to buy another slab, but they did it. SSW has done a great job to cut granite and installation in around 10 days after they come by to take the final measurement. I love these guys Emad, Sam (the crazy) and his team, they are so wonderful and easy to deal with them.

My husband and I were lucky enough to find Emad a couple years ago when we were renovating our home. They fabricated and installed white quartz in our kitchen and two bathrooms. He was very friendly and eager to share his expertise. After speaking to him, I knew this was the person I wanted to deal with. He gave tips on finding the best price on the unique granite we wanted, and held onto the slab for months (without complaint or fee) while we endured cabinet delays. I would not hesitate to recommend State Stone Works, they are the best around!! I was referred to them by Mission Restoration. They removed the original granite, which was not an easy task, and installed new quartz countertops in our kitchen on our existing cabinets. I was worried about damage to the cabinet during the demolition, but Sam was excellent! There was not a scratch on them. Emad is very professional and easy to work with. He was able to deal with unforeseen delays on our end, holding the stone longer than expected. Pricing was definitely the lowest and we looked at many different places. Sam also did the installation in one day, was very detail oriented and addressed all my questions regarding the installation. They did have one issue that came up during install which would have required a seam on the backsplash that was not in the original plan, however Emad, without hesitation, immediately delivered a new piece of quartz in order to avoid the seam. He said from the beginning that customer satisfaction is his main goal, and he definitely proved that to be true. I cannot say enough good things about Emad and State Stone Works. Emad was able to provide everything we needed in terms of services to complete the quartz installation that included; the demolition of the two bathroom vanities, the kitchen countertop, and the shower tile and bathtub. After the removal of the bathroom tile and tub, Emad provided the plumbing service to bring the shower plumbing to code, and the hot mop service to lay the shower foundation.Emad worked with us to keep our costs low by recommending which materials to use and the services he recommended. The teams were experienced, professional, and completed their jobs quickly. The projects were completed on time and on budget. The work they did was stunningly.
