I regret taking my vehicle to Discount Stereo. I had a problem with my service and all I received was the run around after driving an hour to my appt...not once but twice.I took my car in to Mandos Stereo and he saw me as a walk in. He was busy and still made time to see me. Mando fixed the problem in a matter of 5 min. He was polite, professional and friendly. Mando has my business now and in the future. Discount Stereo was unprofessional and a big waste of time....go there if you want to be frustrated with subpar installation.

I purchased some speakers and had them install them, 30 minutes later I get a call stating that the speakers that I had purchased dont work with the amplifier, and that they needed to replace it. The lady then tried to scam me by trying to sell me a $150 amplifier (w/ labor), funny thing though is that when I went to Mandos stereos they were able to get the speakers to work just fine with the amplifier that was already in my vehicle.

100% satisfying, great customer service, lady is nice and she gives great deals. I do recommend discounted stereo, I been buying stereos and speakers and no issues were given.

Call today to ask for deals. Woman who answered the phone refused to give me her name, refused to give me any information about the store. Would only individually price parts, spoke over me, and hung up on me when I asked her name

This owner is the Taliban of Car Audio. She admittingly sold me a product that was not for my vehicle. Ninja quick reflexes at taking my cash and a playing card magicians hand and deceiving you into no refunds for their mistakes. Save yourselves the hassle and headaches. I swear, The pirates of Somolia would salute this woman and call her their God.

Called on the phone and asked about what they offer as far as services.The lady said they were busy for the day and to call tomorrow possibly. I was rushed off of the phone with a Call before you come, ok? Thank you, bye. *Hangs up. So customer service is already not a strong suit. If you value good customer service you wont find it here. She was rude and short on the phone. Will not be giving this mom and pap store my money. No, thank you.

Twice got work done and did not get they agreed to install on my vehicle dont have permanent installers !!

So my first time there a couple days ago I simply went in looking for some specific speaker wire. Right off the bat the lady behind the counter was yelling on the phone and made me feel a lil uncomfortable. I kept asking for help and they werent very talkative or attentive, just pointed and left me talking. I ended up finding the wire, dude just starred at me while I was telling him thats what I was looking for, and the lady later told me it was a customers.... In plane view by showcased items? Ok I guess.. was looking to ask them if they could order me some and neither of them wanted to help. So I end up heading to Mandos Stereo and man what a difference! Greeted me as soon as I got there and I definitely felt welcome. Told him what I needed and he ends up hookin it up! Very friendly place, great guy, very educational if you need help on your DIY systems. Second time at Mandos stereo and its always a welcoming/friendly visit and very helpful.

Lady at counter is very rude and doesn’t want to have products installed that were not purchased at her store. Couldn’t even get a call back on my scheduled appointment day. Go anywhere else.

Well I just begin with this comment telling about the owner. She is really rude and she didnt listen customer. I return an item 3 times because her product was trash she sold me a item more expensive telling me this was better than the first one but was the same!! I tried to explain her but she did not believe she charge me more for the item and was the same I try to return the item and she just judge me telling me was my mistake and I was wrong. told her I want my money back and she reject because they do not have a policy to refund item. The worst place to buy try to never buy something in that place DO NOT BUY IN DISCOUNT STEREO!!

If you care about your car do not come here, they do not know what they’re doing. Do not trust them with your car. You would think that if you’re taking your car to a business, that the job would be done correctly and that they would know how to do what they’re supposed to do but they do not.

Worst experience I ever had. Had to take my truck 3 times and still they didnt leave the system with DVD right. They connected everything straight to the battery. A mechanic found the problem after 2 new batteries.

Have had 3 visits for installations and purchases ...never had a issue with the installations or the purchased items. The lady has always been polite and courteous.

The worst, most unprofessional service of any business in El Centro. I brought my car in and said I want a stereo that sound better than the stock and has good bass response. I paid the, for their work and when I turned the stereo on...IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! The help blamed the owner, the owner blamed the help. She even tried to blame me. I took it back several times and each time they switched out power amps and speakers experimenting trying to get a good sound. I paid for a 4 channel power am, now I have a two channel, they rigged subs in my roll bar, the left bare wired loose under the seat, they did not secure the unit and now they refuse to return my call to make it right. When I returned to complain, the installer told me he was pissed off and felt like killing some Americans. I fully intend to file a complaint with the BBB and file a small claims action against them.

So I decided to get a remote start put on my 2000 Ford F-150. I decided to try out discount stereo even though the place looked super sketchy. I had an Asurion remote start put on for $220 dollars. I went to go pick up the truck and the installation guy showed me how it worked. I paid and left, as I was pulling out of the parking lot my trucks dash lit up with all sorts of lights and there was no power and it sounded like several cylinders were not firing. I drove directly back and gave it back to them and said something was wrong. They guy pulled it back and said that he didn’t know what happened but he disconnected the battery and said it seemed normal. I took it and left. A couple weeks later, my truck starts having trouble starting with the remote and by the ignition, so I take it back to them and tell them what is going on and the lady says that the remote start needs to be reprogrammed. She said that it would cost $15. I told them to take care of it. About 15 mins later the installation guy comes back and says he doesn’t know what is wrong with it and he starts to blame it on my truck. I tell them that the problems started when I had the remote start installed but they said it wasn’t because of the remote start. I asked them if I could simply have a refund but they said they wouldn’t and would only offer me store credit (which I didn’t want because the service was terrible). I decided to just take the store credit and took my truck directly to the ford dealer. El Centro Motors looked over the truck and figured out that the remote start had fried the computer and that it needed to be replaced, that would cost $1,000! I had the new computer put in and now the truck starts and runs perfectly. I really DO NOT RECCOMEND going here the service is terrible! The people working there know nothing! PLEASE DON’T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I shouldve read the reviews before going here. They do not place a warranty or guarantee on their work so if something goes wrong because of their work, theyre going to charge you to fix it. Took it to Mandos Stereo and they fixed the problem.

Veryyy but very bad service I took my car to put a radio on they installed it but from there my car doesnt turn on dont take you car over there peopleee!!!!!! This happened in february 2018 and until august I still cant find the problem on it very bad

Outraged!..went to get an amplifier connected and they broke my cd player it worked perfect before they touched it, and did not offer to fix it nor did they offer a refund! .if i could afford an attorney i would sue! Worst experience ever!

I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NEW CAR AND I WANTED MY SPEAKER BOX AND AMP. INSTALLED IN THE NEW CAR. THE LADY QUOTED ME $45 BECAUSE I ALREADY HAD THE WIRING AND EVERYTHING FROM MY PREVIOUS CAR SO SHE SAID NO PROBLEM. LONG STORY SHORT I ENDED UP PAYING $125. I NOTICED IT WAS MAKING A LOUD RINGING NOISE I DIDNT PAY IT NO MIND, TILL MY BF TOLD ME ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THAT NOISE, WHEN I GAVE HIM A RIDE 14 DAYS LATER. I TOOK MY CAR BACK AND TOLD THE LADY AND SHE WAS LIKE OK WE WILL LOOK AT IT. TURNS OUT THE GUY SAID THE AMP. JUST NEEDED TO BE TURNED DOWN A LITTLE BIT.THE LADY CHARGED ME $10 THEN SAID IF I BRING BACK THE RECEIPT FROM WHEN THEY INSTALLED MY STUFF SHE WILL RETURN MY $10. I TOOK OFF THERE WAS NO RINGING NOISE ANYMORE BUT THE SOUND WAS VERY LOW LIKE IF I JUST ONLY HAD THE STOCK SYSTEM. I RETURNED AND TOLD HER IF THEY COULD JUST RAISE THE VOLUME BACK UP AND SHOW ME HOW I COULD LOWER IT AND RAISE THE VOLUME ON THE AMP. AND SHE SAID NO THEY CANT SHOW ME, AND I NEED A FILTER THATS GOING TO BE $15. THE FILTER IS FOR THE RINGING SO IT WILL STOP. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF OK IF YOU KNEW IT WAS GOING TO NEED A FILTER THEN WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME AND PUT IT ON WHEN THEY FIRST HOOKED EVERYTHING UP.
