This review is about the delivery. The delivery people were prompt, efficient, and courteous. We give them nine stars out of ten (hey, nobody’s perfect). Practically perfect

Would give 0 stars if I could. Was told that the mattress I was purchasing was not in stock at the store and they could not guarantee which day in particular it would be delivered, but that it would take 3-5 business days to arrive. Since I was moving and didnt want the mattress to arrive before my move-in date, the solution offered by the salesperson at the store was that they could have the mattress shipped to the store, and then delivered along with the frame a week later (and I could pick up the cover the week after that, since it was not in stock either). I purchased the mattress on a Friday, and the frame was delivered the following Friday as expected, but no mattress was with it. Its now the following Monday night going on Tuesday, and the mattress is still more than halfway across the country. According to the FedEx number they gave me, my mattress hadnt even begun to ship until 4 business days after I purchased it. Im now in the process of trying to get a full refund, and to get them to take their frame away. I will go to literally any other mattress store and purchase one which can actually be delivered to me in a decent manner.UPDATE- Store told me that I would be charged $100 to take back the free frame that was delivered and set up with the purchase of my mattress (the mattress which I still dont have and will not be arriving anytime soon). Manager called back and lied about delivery timing and regarding their carrier FedEx, and claimed that I would be charged $500 if I tossed out the frame on my own (even though she personally told me the frame costs $350 but it was free with purchase of queen size or larger mattress). They wont come back and remove the frame until the mattress is delivered, which could be weeks from now, and they refuse to process my refund until the mattress arrives (again, which could be weeks from now). I cannot caution you enough against doing business with these people.

I cannot comment on my experience beyond choosing and paying for the new bed, it won’t arrive until tomorrow.Russell was very helpful. He was able to steer me in the right direction to find a frame and mattress to fit our needs and budget and on top of it get it to us in record time, I hope.

I walked in to purchase my daughter a new mattress and walked out with a brand new bed for myself in tow. The saleswoman T.J was so knowledgeable and patient with us. We went to the El. Cerrito showroom. She really sold us on my bed. I needed something for lumbar support and she put me in a bed that meets all my needs. I look forward to rediscovering a peaceful and restful nights sleep, pain free. Im very happy with Mattress Firm. I made a wise investment for my self care. Oh and my daughter loves her new bed too. She upsized and invested too.

He went above and beyond in his customer service, so my girlfriend and I left really happy with what we got.Our mattress and frame delivered the next day and the delivery team quality checked each piece before bringing it up to our apartment. The frame was broken, so they packaged it back up and sent it back for a new one at no additional charge.Really easy and low stress process all around

Lisa J. was a great person to work with while looking for a mattress, specifically the memory foam type of mattresses. She was friendly, always made sure she was available for questions, but also gave me the time and space to try out different mattresses for as long as I needed. Russell was also there and helped with moving mattresses if I wanted to try one that was not on display. Both of them made sure that I could ask anything and were very friendly, great customer service from them.I thought I would spend a long time in the store, but I was able to make a decision pretty quickly. Delivery would take longer only because of my availability, so Lisa made it simple for me to come back to the store in a couple days and pick up the mattress myself (which was a smaller box that could fit in my car since it was a compact foam mattress). This is a very good place to look for a mattress! The salesperson will show you new high end mattresses. You will learn what might be new since your previous mattress purchase.They also have quality low cost mattresses in the case you are not looking for a premium mattress. These are especially nice for kids or spare beds.The sales people will listen to your needs and get you the best mattress they have at the best price. They are not high pressure sales people. They want you to come back in 5-10 years to buy from them again.

If I could rate negative stars theyd be a five star experience. Approximately two weeks ago I made a $2,000+ purchase. Upon delivery and removal of old mattress and box spring the movers damaged portions of my wall and ceiling in the stairway. I notified the store of the damage. The store requested picture documentation be sent to them. Receipt of pictures was confirmed. I was then told that someone from the company would reach out to me within 48 hours. That was 12 days ago. Yesterday I went into the store to speak to someone in person. I was told by that sales associate that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. That also was a lie. I would suggest you steer clear of this sales establishment if you seek good service and to be treated like a valued patron. There is far too much competition in the mattress industryfor you to have to settle and go through what they are putting me through. I went there to get better sleep, I ended up losing sleep over this transaction.Update: upon finally getting a call from someone regarding the damage I was able to book an appointment for someone to assess the damage. That person missed their appointment, showing up 2 hours late. As I type this I am awaiting the second attempt at meeting with the contractor to assess damages. He is LATE AGAIN!!!!

Yeah, I basically was in and out. The staff was great and super helpful. I believe it was Diamond who helped me pick out what I needed. This is my first mattress purchase and she really listened to what I needed and helped me find what I was looking for. My wife and I had put off replacing our mattress, partially due to Covid but also due to the hassle of actually choosing the perfect one. Our local mattress store couldnt have been a better spot. There were plenty of options, store was clean, had protective equipment and most importantly a friendly, knowledgeable sales person named Lisa who helped guide through the myriad of mattress choices. Their prices were competitive. They were able to deliver the following day. Success and our backs are thanking us.

Called the El Cerrito location and had a very pleasant conversation with Russell and had exactly what we wanted scheduled for the next day within budget. It was a great experience and the new box spring for our Cal King is perfect. The delivery was contact less and professional.

Just want to post how extremely happy we with our bed . It has been like sleeping on air for the last 3 weeks. I would recommend the Adjustable plush top bed especially for those who experience back pains and arthritis . My pain has gone away Since sleeping in this bed. This is a purchase worth spending for better health .

Beware of the 120 day Trial period!!! This review is based on my experience at the Pinole store. Janie assisted me. She was nice and professional. I purchased the Stearns and Foster Plush pillowtop mattress for $2400.00 to replace my existing Sterns and Foster mattress that had served me well for 15 years. Upon arrival I could not sleep on mattress related to the strong chemical fumes emitting from the mattress. I left the mattress in the room uncovered for a couple of days to air out.Finally I slept on mattress awoke with back ache and headache from the fumes. I uncovered the mattress and let air out again but to no avail, the chemical smell prevailed. I called Janie to request a return or replacement. I requested another Stearns and Foster and was informed of the 10% restocking fee for the defective malodorous mattress of $200.00 or 20% restocking restocking fee of $400.00 if decided not to exchange but just return the mattress. I had the mattress for 2 miserable weeks . The 120 day trial period is a RIP off. Buyer beware!!!!.

My boyfriend and I were on the market for a mattress. We just moved to San Francisco and had been sleeping on a 21 year old mattress. It was hard as a board and too small for two people.About 2 weeks ago we went to Mattress Firm to just look around. We were greeted by Kim. She was very pleasant and kind. She asked us some questions and did a firmness test. We decide we wanted a bed with medium firmness. We tried some out and picked the one we liked.Since we were just looking we decided to leave and check out other options. We ended up at a different mattress store. The sales woman was rude and very abrasive. She was very unhelpful. So we left and went right back to Kim. She was really helpful. She was able to get the mattress delivered the next day. There was a sale so the price was great and we got some freebies.If I am ever on the market for another mattress, I will go right back to Kim.

Worst Customer service...that old man in the desk needs to go and study about customer service. As a sales man, just try to listen and understand and speak humbly rather than misunderstand and try to speak to outsmart the customers...I entered with the willing to buy but made me feel like to walk away without buying....

Bought a mattress here and it was simple and easy. Salesperson shower me a couple of mattresses and then I mentioned one I saw online that had good reviews and was in my range and she made sure I was able to test it out in the shop. Pulled out the mattress and set it all up for me so icould make sure it worked for me. No hard selling on other mattresses I did not want or hard selling on extras. Yes, she offered me all the extras but did not pressure me or hard sell. Also, helped to make my next day delivery happen.

I went to The Mattress Firm store in Hilltop and had a nice experience. Im sorry I dont remember the sale womans nam. I ended up at the El Cerrito store only because it was closer to my home. Khalid Naxihi was amazingly patient and helpful. Although I did not buy a very expensive mattress, I was given the same attention as if I had purchased the most expensive. I highly recommend Mattress Firm. Also like that they are involved with helping Foster children.
