This Barnes and Noble is a good place to visit. They have a good stock of books. The Asian looking man at the computer is always professional and helpful.I also like the cafe area. Its clean and the people working there are friendly. The girl who was working there earlier this afternoon was courteous and efficient.

The staff Ive encountered have all been nice and very helpful. They have such a wide selection. If they dont have it, they can have it ordered.The cafe staff were so kind to my son. I commend the managers for hiring such kind people.The store is very clean with space to read or study.They have toys, but are on the pricy side. Their stationary is so nice!

I went to this store 4 days ago. Everything was great till I needed to go to restroom. I havent seen such a dirty restroom for many years. I was not clean at all and it smelled awful. I write this review to let them know to fix it. I really liked this store.

B&N always consistently a nice experience. Clean store and bathroom, important to me LOL; very well organized and helpful staff. Good selection of puzzles and games for all ages! Nice selection of childrens books and toys, my main reason for stopping in. Childrens section clean and very organized.

I like the way the books and magazines and movies were set up. Easily flow through the store what type of magazines or books were there. And also had a nice little coffee shop.

Very nice, with many options and categories for all ages, parking is easy and lot is huge, easy access to and from you car, aisles are huge if you are in a wheelchair, Starbucks inside has the best workers they are always very friendly and nice like the staff

I have loved Barnes and Noble since I was a kid and nothing has changed. The staff is helpful and kind. I had a good time looking for books and collectables, I was a kid in a candy store.

I love this store because it has more toys than books and they carry Tokidoki!

Great to have a brick and mortar book store in El Cerrito. They have quite a large selection of books of all types and jigsaw puzzles and challenging other puzzles. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Even a coffee shop where you can preview books your thinking about.

I really like buying here. I want to Thank Tanya, she is awesome. She helped me a lot to look for my books. She was polite, cheerful and very porfessional. I will come back soon :)

For a big commercial book store its not too bad really theyve even ventured into some weird fiction. Ok so its mainstream weird. But weird none the less. Oh. And a great magazine selection too. Fair bit of Euro mags...

It did not have a fire like the Bed Bath & Beyond it shares a wall with did.So thats a ✔ in the positive column.Not terribly busy either. Nice and sedate, as a book store should be.Good luck finding what youre searching for without help as they have an expansive collection. Not a bad thing.

I really should spend less money overall in my life.However, Barnes and Noble has always had its own column in the monthly budget. Someday, Im gonn own a house and have a library room (or more realistically library wall).I wanna give credit to the young man, sorry I dont have his name, who made it his mission to find the 1 copy of a book that was in inventory, but not shelved correctly. We went on an adventure, 8 ended up spending about another $150 on vintage games.Did you know they have old games? I didnt. And now my game wall has a few new additions.Oh, and the books are a good read too...

It has a very huge selection of books and other learning materials. I just wish that they had some place to sit . Easily in and out.

Came here because my daughter was looking for pop its. Found them and left. Customer service was OK.

Its an actual, real life bookstore. The selection is large, though I wish their science section wasnt a fifth the size of the I talk with Angels section. The childrens section is large and colorful and the in store cafe really comes in handy.

Store has typical B&N selection. However, restrooms smell like a foul rancid, aging mix of feces, urine and vomit, and all restroom floors are sticky like fly paper.

Big, peaceful, colorful, books for everyone, great kids section but also classics of literature and a lot of magazines. Without kids, just sitting in a comfortable chair and read. Maybe even tasting your favorite coffee and cookie. I love it. In El Cerrito plaza.

Not too busy at this location. It was clean and well stocked. I only had one issue with this particular location. I got there 30 min prior to closing, within 10 min, they were announcing that they were going to be closing and we needed to check out. 5 min later, at 8:45, same thing. And again, 5 min later...the older female employee making the announcement seemed grumpy, annoyed, and made me and my daughter feel like an inconvenience. We were going to purchase a couple things I had in my hands, but then again at 8:55, she said they were closing. I left my intended purchases there so they could make sure that the door wasnt unlocked one second past 9. The younger female emoyee with blue hair seemed very nice and helpful though.

Unfortunately lots of crazy people hang out here. Its very sad that any place within walking distance to Bart that has somewhat of an open door policy becomes a hotbed for loonies. Whenever you go here its always the same crowd of people trying to bother you while youre in the sacred world that is bookstore. The employees are nice but on multiple occasions Ive seen them getting cursed out by crazies, and the bathroom reeks of urine.

Good selection, helpful staff (worth the wait), compelling bargains. For a big chain store, they really care about what they sell. Its a great neighborhood resource, especially if you have young kids. I like how they stay open late, and I always leave feeling satisfied.Self-service search terminals would be helpful, however.

It is a nice place to read magazines and the latest non-fiction and fiction books. A nice warm atmosphere.

Lots of Bibles and stuff. Henry Knight hangs out there all the time. Gotta love their Nook epub books. Better than Kindle Mobi. Please dont call Saint Billy a chicken. He was tired. Pray about it. Hes still witnessing me. Praise Jesus in Biblical Heaven.

Great customer service

Getting to be the only nearby bookstore. Its like a giant study hall, with the yummy coffee bar inside. More and more space is being given over to little kids books. As an adult, I am sad about that.

Still nice to have a bookstore to go to, browse, research, and then prayerfully get a good book. Like B&N a lot, wide range of variety of probably almost any subject one would like in a book. They offer a food area, gifts, and several sitting areas through out the store, and always a helpful staff.

Pleasant. Always like Barnes and nobles. Clean. Full with good surprising selections that are newer.Not friendly for people with invisible disability. Not enough chair. Hard for ppl with mobility issue that I tend to just squat to relieve pain at times.

Great place to come and experience books the old fashioned way. The staff is very helpful and unlike other Barnes & Nobles Ive been to the is actually someone who stays at or close to the customer service desk. The security guard is nice and doesnt criminalize me by following me around the store. I very much appreciate that.

I want to believe that we have space for discovering unexpected things that we human beings share and have in common. I saw things that I was not expecting. Childrens section, toys, patience and kindness. I couldnt find the book that I was looking for, but I did find a book that I am delighted to read.

Its Barnes & Noble, what can I say? Its clean, well organized, and has fabulous books, calendars, gift items bookmarks, anything you could possibly want having to do with books or correspondence or journaling. This location has A well-stocked childrens area with toys puzzles and other things for the kiddos. Theres also an in-store Starbucks where you can get Barnes and Nobles points for your coffee and crumpet. I love Barnes & Noble!

Lovely brief visit, because the store was closing for the evening. Though brief, good customer service; (not that hurry up I aint got time to answer any questions were about to close kind.) Very pleasant.

I love them for books, but did you know that they have the most amazing toy and books section for kids. Its true! I went there to check something out and was astounded by the selections of toys in all age groups. Anytime I need a gift for a child... that is the only place I go.

Love to go there, just do not expect customer service from the Information Desk.... Asked for help and the info lady gave a terse answer to our question and walked away......

One of favorite places to stop while at El Cerrito Plaza. The cafe area is often full and could use some re-imagining. It needs convenient electrical outlets for lap tops and tablets. The book selection is fine and they will order if asked. Staff is generally very courteous and helpful.
