First time is a store like this. Super fun and lots of great things. Will definitely be going back next time I am in the area.

I love Daiso! They always have wonderful items, and they are good quality for the price.

Located in El Cerrito Plaza I love checking out Daiso, the Japanese $1.50 store. They always have something I can use from tableware, storage, some hardware, stationary and quick foods and drinks.I really like their garden section. I picked up a wooden handled cutter for cleaning up around plants, works great! They have hardware, phone needs, many shopping bags and extensive areas for foot and body care. Some clothing and infant section, toys and my favorite gadgets for cooking and camping. A little of everything for you and the house and new things stocked all the time. Efficient and attentive staff.

It was okay it did not have what I was looking for. And items have strong chemical smell.

I have a painful love for Daiso. Wanna have some fun shopping but dont want to break the bank? Daiso. Need some cute stuffed animals for whatever? Daiso. Kitchen supplies? Daiso. Ramune soda? Daiso. That aside, the store is in a good location with its own dedicated parking lot. The store is well lit and spacious so it doesnt feel cramped. Its large and has a good selection as well! All of the staff are very kind and mindful of customers. Definitely my favorite Daiso location.

I love this place. Its always full of things I didnt know I didnt need but still have to have. Perfect place for impulse buys. Beware the checkout line - its lined with snacks.

Good clean store, but inventory low when visited. Probably only 2/3 shelves stocked, and most items had only a handful left.

Having a degree in A.C. and humanities i found Daiso Store culturally interesting and how they resolve the usage of human neccessities that were resolved/derived, as well as, other cultural contributions.I always come out with something for my emergency bag or new quick eat snacks.At this time for the 3 holiday seasons for those who celebrate them the aisles are full of boxs and the shelves are stacked.Emeryville is not going to jump the gun and the shelves or regular Daiso style.What happen to berkeley store in the mist of telegraph/universites remoldeling i couldnt find it (all that brown camoflauge).

You have to be careful shopping here, because not all the items are $1.50. but the ones that are $1.50 are usually a very good deal indeed ;)

This a more or less a dollar store that offers inexpensive goods from Japan. The pricing here is mostly $1.50 unless otherwise noted but Ive never seen anything over $8 there. I mostly come here for paint markers but they offer everything from snacks to cleaning supplies to home storage solutions and more. The service here is very prompt but one weird detail is they are very emphatic about their no refund policy. Its no big deal because I buy stuff for keeps but thats just a strange tact but anyways, 5 stars!

I like this store. It is a discount store, but does not feel like it. Everything is clean, well organized, and well presented, all at a reasonable price. I have bought a number of things here and will keep going back.

Randomish collection, fun to make a quick stop in if you mostly want to look around and have a little extra money to get something fun. Staff are helpful and quiet, dont go out of their way to bother you, which I personally prefer. Id say dont get something practical that youre going to use often, because it likely wont last.

Fully stocked and no wait to get in. This store has everything you didnt know you wanted until you saw it here. Check out line moved fast. Make sure you listen for the ladies to angrily scream...Next Line because if you dont hear them or see where the yell is coming from, they will yell louder as the people in front of me learned today. I listened closely for my turn to come. 😂😂

Nice but very crowded. Made shopping a lil harder. Social distancing was challenging but practiced. Found lots of home accesories for holiday.

Daiso is a fascinating place to browse. I go in for practical things like tape and ziplocks, and end up with other things I didnt know I needed. The difference between daiso and american 99 cent stores is that the quality of the daiso stuff is much higher and the selection is incredibly diverse. The only down sides are that they can be out of stock on various items for a long time because it all depends on big shipments from Japan. Also, the muzak they play can be really annoying.. so I always wear ear plugs (which I bought right there!) Thats the only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5. I prefer silence for shopping.

Cheap eclectic Asian stuff. Dont buy something you dont want however they dont take returns.

Its an OK chain store just like 99 cents only stores, everything cheap and small size you get what you paid for, by the way put on your sunglasses on before you enter these stores they got lots of super bright light inside.

This store has vastly improved since opening and the shopping experience is so much better. But, compared to the stores on the other side of the bay, the variety is limited and the food section is almost nonexistent. Prices are low and staff are nice and helpful. Private parking lot. Easy in and out.

The place says products from Japan but, a lot of them are made in China.

Its a gamble when you shop there most of their products dont work and they know it. Thats why they stamp your receipt with no return or exchange. I rather go to Dollar Tree.

This is a nice Daiso store but not as big as the one in Japantown, San Francisco.The store on Market Street in SF is convenient but you have to navigate around the homeless to get into the main door. The selection is also limited.The Daiso in El Cerrito is in a good location near the BART station.Periodically I will go in there to see if they have any new knick-knacks for the home.I was in need of a strainer and I found a sizeable one for $1.50. It is stainless steel and just the right size to fit in a kitchen drawer.The real reason I go to Daiso is to pick up the plastic DVD holders. I have many discs that Ive lost sleeves for and these holders fill the void.Not many stores carry the holders anymore but theyre still in demand for DVD collectors like me.Im from the old school, so I know a bargain or two when I see one.

I love this store. I would shop here every day if I could. I got the best garlic skin peeler for a dollar fifty. Everyone is so friendly and happy in this store. Love it!

Shopping at Daiso Japan is an experience. Hundreds of small items are packed into this store with prices that makes you wonder how they can have it so low priced. Many items are much higher priced elsewhere. I like going there to wander amidst the aisles to see what I could use as it saves me money. The downside is there is a no return policy so shop wisely.

Love this place! Its in a nice area with parking. I am happy with every item Ive ever purchased there & gifts Ive gotten there are always a big hit! Gorgeous ceramic dishes & dozens of other fun things!!

Most of the things are of bad quality, except for the aux cable and things that are actually worth less than $1.50 or whatever price they are sold for here. Also, the foam board (color board) is very useful, and the hot glue sticks are surprisingly good, the best ones Ive used.

They have My very favorite original Japanese iced tea. And since its in the Bay Area its As Nice distance to calm my nerves. The people who works there are very nice and caring and understanding. Not only that but they are knowledgeable or which kind of tea and how strong are sweetness. Definitely love that place

I come all the way from Modesto, California to El Cerrito, Ca just to shop there.Everything is so good in there. Good prices and good merchandise.

I love this store. It has many small, useful items that I use.Today, I was in the store when My pendant dropper from from my neck and I was unable to see where it landed. I asked for help from one of the assistants and within minutes four or five assistants came to my aid. They were so happy to help in the search and stayed with it until the pendant was recovered. I appreciated the help and attitude.

Great variety of items that you can use to minimize space in your lives by situation. I live on a yacht and these things are very helpful. すごい

If youre into bargains, this is one of the best places I know. Basically a very high end Japanese take on the 99 Cent store, only almost everything is $1.50. Tons of great stuff, and really a great place for buying random presents.

No matter how many times I visit... it is not just a store... it is an experience. It is akin to a dollar store, but things are slightly more expensive, a lot cooler, but still super affordable. I love shopping the crafts and papers sections as well as the home wares. There is a lot to see and it is a lot of fun to see new products every time you visit.

I love Daiso and this one is really nice and spacious! Theres a lot of things you can buy ranging from food to stationary, make up to cookware. This place has it all! And a lot of their stuff is cute!
