My mother and I went to 35th ave Sew & Vac on grand around 1pm 7/3/21. There were two women working when we walked in one of the saleswomen was talking to a man and woman about traveling in their RV.After the initial “do you need this cut right now?” As my mom laid a couple bolts on the cut counter and said “no, still looking.” my mom and I got ignored when we were ready. They were chatting and clearly saw us. She was still talking while we were waiting and the couple looked over at us several times along with the saleswoman. They could have spoke up and said they’ll be right with us but they didn’t .So after 5min of being ignored we walked out. I put the bolts back where I found them.

Great gals who work there, always helpful, glad to make a special order for you if they don’t have it in store. Love the classes offered and a full line of sewing, quilting accessories. Best of all if your looking for a new sewing/ embroidery machine, they have a great selection. Oh yes, a wonderful thread selection, and it’s close to home.

For those of you looking at the store on Grand Ave (up in El Mirage) ... it seems the description and/or reviews on google maps are for the bigger store on 35th. This store has a fairly small selection of fabric, but a very wide selection of machines. It seems this store specializes in sewing machines and repair (not vacuums either). The ladies working were super friendly and we enjoyed browsing all the machines.

Bought serger I had already decided on from them. Machine ready as promised. Only disappointment was that it will be 2+ months before training class available. Fortunately I’m experienced serger.

Black bag events are great opportunities for coupons, sale items and trivia/game fun for additional savings! They have an amazing fabric selection too and we had the chance to meet a very nice pattern designer!

I enjoy shopping at The store I just wish it was open on Monday through Saturday. And our classes would begin again

The El Mirage store has a good variety of Fabric, Sewing Machines, Sergers, Overlock Machines on site to view and try out if you are in the market for something new. The staff is excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. I recently bought a Baby Lock Serger, during the demo the person was able to make me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions. After the sale questions and concerns were answered quickly. I love my Baby Lock Serger and 35th Avenue Sew & Vac.

If you are a quilter this is the place to go. Although I did buy a sewing machine that I love and they did give me a two hour class on how to use it. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I only wish their El Mirage store was larger.

The El Mirage store located off of Grand Ave has re-opened! It’s a little bigger with new carpet and fresh walls. It feels brighter and more open. Friendly staff, machines, fabric, notions and thread! =)

I brought in my vacuum to be serviced and everyone here was so nice to work with, both on the phone and in person. Anytime I need my vacuum or sewing machine serviced in the future i will definitely be going to 35th ave (also spoke with some of the people from the location on Northern and they were also very nice and helpful as well)! They also have a beautiful variety of material available!

I brought in my Hoover FloorMate in pieces as it fell apart after little use but I made it within the warranty. After very nasty treatment from Hoover, I was delighted with the positive response and quick assistance, from the fantastic follow-up with Richard after the courteous help from George. Keep your terrific employees HAPPY!

It was my favorite place to shop for fabric and just stop for a friendly chat. BUT.................then Fran came to work there. She is not friendly, not helpful and doesnt know anything about quilting. That does not keep her from following me around hovering over me as if I am a thief or something. Fran ruined the entire store atmosphere and friendliness. Store was definite 5 star prior to Frans coming. I am a very good customer too, I have bought a PHAFF Expression 3.5 and a Baby Lock Acclaim Serger. Now I shop all the way down to 35th Ave and Northern. What a disappointment she brought to the place.
