So i tried this place twice because it’s close to a place that i have to take my daughter twice a week. The first time i ordered a steak fajita and i couldn’t even finish it. I kept taking small bites to see if it would get better but it didn’t. The second time I ordered brisket and it was cold and yucky. And to verify another review from below they prepare the food with their bare hands, no hair nets, no mask. I most likely won’t be giving this spot anymore of my business even if I’m starving unless i go in to purchase a bag or chips or a bottled soda. Just giving an honest review. They need to do better.
I enjoy this place. Customer service is great. It was a favorite of mine three years ago when I was stationed here at Bliss. I would of give five stars but they no longer serve coffee. Maybe an economic circumstance. But in reality they deserve five stars!!!
The only thing that I did not like was the fact that I had to get in line outside de bakery but it all went away when I got inside fast and the special super service and price. Plus the tamales and sweet bread excellent.
Came here on a Saturday morning and there was a line outside and now I know why. This place is amazing. The red tamales are hands down the best I’ve ever had and the menudo and tortillas were just as good. Will definitely be returning
Top 3 best Mexican Bakeries I have ever been to. Traditional mexican sweet bread and the most fresh and light Pan Blanco ever. All in a very clean and modern building. Super nice and helpful staff. Plus they have burritos! Yes actual burritos, not tacos for those used to Tex-Mex. Made with fresh in house made flour tortillas. Try the Barbacoa, Chile Relleno, or Chicharonne burrito. For sweet bread I recommend Pumpkin empanadas or any donut and espnoja/concha. If you pay cash you wont get charged the credit debit service fee of 4% so be prepared. They also have tamales pretty much year round. A cute little covered patio also for when that becomes an option again. 10 out of 10 do recommend.
Best Tamales ( chile verde & queso, and rojo ) also BEST pan Dulce in town. Just tastes like Pan dulce from Pradera in Juarez!
Disappointed, the pozole was so salty it was difficult to eat. The sweet bread is more expensive than any other place and no better than other bakeries.
Hands down best breakfast burritos we have ever taste!! Place is so clean (kitchen included) 100% recommend this place.
Great customer service, place is clean and most important food is good!! I do recommend this place
Attentive employees who greeted me right away. My order was taken and packed carefully. I did not feel rushed. Very nice neighborhood bakery.
No matter what you buy here, it is good. Sweet bread is awesome!!! So are their burritos, menudo, and tortas. You gotta try it out so you can see just how good it is. Great place to come to satisfy your cravings for Mexican food.
The store asks you tu put a mask to enter their bussiness but when they are preparing the food they do it without gloves or something, i asked for a burrito in a plate and they use their fingers to separate the food, how can the bakery be so concerned with covid with clients but they dont use gloves when preparing food? is irrazonable, will not comeback
It is a nice establishment and is well patronized by the community. My only observation was that it does not carry some common items like chocolate croissants and almond croissants which are my favorite. I also think you get a better reception from staff if you speak spanish. 😉
Good food my family loved so happy thanks for all
My favorite bakery on the far east. Always my go to. Amazing breakfast burritos and I always seem to leave with a dozen donuts.
The food can be delicious depending whose making the food. Some of the staff is rude and especially when they’re not busy, you ask for salsa before paying and one of the staff said I’ll give it to you. Once she forgot about it and I asked for the salsa she teeth sucked and sighed as is she was annoyed. Like I said the food can be good depending on the cook the staff in the front can be very rude, if they’re not happy they need to find a different job.
Food its ok, siempre esta muy lleno no se porque, si la comida no esta tan buena a cualquier santo le resa la gente pero el pan de dulce MY GOD its soooo delicious the most yummy i have tasted considering Im someone whos always looking at different bakerys.. gussies was the best one until I found this one 😍🤤
Extremely nice and sweet employees. A bit disorganized as far as placing an order for tamales. I guess the only improvement is to get a better system in place when it comes to taking orders. If you’re patient it’s definitely worth it. But sweet nevertheless and the food is incredibly delicious.
They say the bread and menudo is great. I cannot vouch for this. I ordered a pound and a half of barbacoa. Meaning a special (a pound of barbacoa that came with red salsas, cilantro and onion and 2 bolillo bread) plus I ordered another half a pound since it was for 6 people to eat. Everything looked great until everyone began eating eat...somebody literally dropped the salt. All you could taste was salt. I wont be going back for barbacoa there for sure. Place looks great, everyone ordering menudo and sweet bread left and right but dont order the barbacoa. And this is my first negative review ever so it must count for something. At least on the barbacoa believe me. I never like negative reviews so I will be going back next Sunday to order once more to see if it was not just a mishap that occured today with someone dropping a large bag of salt in the barbacoa.
Excellent the ladies gave great customer service with a smile. Will definitely be back! Keep up the good work
I love this place love getting breakfast here
Lol...a bakery that doesnt make cakes
I would give 5 stars, but for me it’s a NO on the tamales, however the pozole is the best I’ve had in a restaurant so far, está sabroso y si pica. They’re pan dulce is also good.
Love the burritos, menudo and the tamales. Potatoes and cheese burrito is my fav!!!!!
Great tortas and molletes.
My recent visit they put aged cheese in my burrito I couldn’t eat it and I paid over 20 for just 4
Been here several times for both donuts and sweetbreads as well as lunch... Im never disappointed. Sometimes it takes a few extra minutes to be served but its well worth the short wait and Im never in a hurry when I visit. The ladies behind the counter are always patient with my lack of Spanish even though for most of them its their first language. I have yet to try their menudo or pazole on the weekends but I hear its excellent!
Awesome display of authentic mexican sweet bread. Not to mention the great food they serve. Very clean and very fresh. This is my go to place for sweet bread and barbacoa and burritos.
Love this place and the Pozole is badass! And their Egg ham & potato Burrito is filling!
Good food. Fast service. Bread is awesome👌🏽
No valid number to call to curb side pick up
Had a very long wait this morning, but the tamales were great. They had lots of meat and flavor. The menudo was light on color, but had a great taste to it
Burritos are so disgusting, All 4 burritos tasted like Aluminum and so soggy. Don’t recommend buying burritos from there.
Very nice..around the corner bakery and restaurant...always delicious...quesadillas, tamales, burritos, tortas. delish! sweet bread very good, alot of selection...only thing about prado that needs improvement...lil stingy with the salsa! asked for a salsa cup for each food item I had,( had @least 7 food items) I was told only could get one! prado has delicious chile/salsa...spread it around more generously please!nonetheless..I give prado 5stars!
$5 milk. 25cents to warm the ham in the torta, yellow Kraft cheese and beans in the torta, which made it the worst torta I’ve ever had.
El Jefe burrito and Chicharron burrito are good. One Jefe burrito usually is enough for breakfast
Very tasty burrito and fine meat
This bakery is usually a great little place to find some awesome menudo and breakfast burritos, but that wasn’t the case today. My wife ordered four bacon, egg, and cheese burritos and a bunch of donuts. The donuts were fine but the burritos all had egg shells in them. Needless to say, we were very disappointed because of the high standard they have set. I’m hoping they just happen to have hired a new cook that can’t crack eggs. Either way, I hope they figure out because I love this place.
Horrible customer service when they mess up your order!!!
Delicious! We got a tamale, steak burrito, mole burrito and a chicharrón burrito. All were great but we especially liked the tamale and steak burrito.
I was going to give them 4 stars, until I found a hair in my burrito. The mole was good, although Ive had better. However, as I was eating my burrito, I noticed something inside. I pulled it out to see if it was part of the chicken, but no.It was a hair. Now I dont want to eat the other burrito I ordered.
I’ve read some negative comments/reviews, but my wife and I have been up there about 10 times and never had an issues at all. Great food, clean building, good prices, and the workers do their job very quickly.
Best menudo and burritos in town! The cashiers are fast! If you have to wait in line it’s worth it.
Deliciousness over drive!! Tortillas were amazing, burritos off the menu were amazing and of course pan dulce for dessert was fabulous 😋
I put one because zero wasnt available.I usually dont but often because the cashiers really have an attitude problem but yesterday was horrible a very RUDE lady named Nereida attended me. She was really giving me attitude because she had messed up the order from another women in front of me.I mean why should I put up with her attitude. Its not the first time that Ive seen this issue. After they mess up your order in punishment they make you wait and serve others in front of you.Poor Lady. This cashier Nereida is very sarcastic and disrespectful.Really,Really bad customer service!!!!!
Always my go breakfast and bakery. They put in work!
Have good Tamales and menudo & there francestios are the best, especially fresh out the oven, Ill eat one other way home.
MASSIVE SIZE DONUTS! SUPER FLUFFY!Louvre the EL JEFE breakfast burrito!Plus this is a very active bakery in the community, always helping local shelters!
Love This Bread I Drive Fron Horizon All The Way To Buy My Bread Great Service.
I did not visit the place. I called to ask if they allowed people to stay and do some work from there. They answered no and abruptly ended the call. The rude response means I wont be trying the food that many reviews say is quite delicious.
I wish I could give ZERO stars! Orders always get taken or given wrong and whoever is behind the counter refuses to admit they are wrong. Ive gone back several times and I keep giving them chances but honestly the food isnt that good. Next time I will just go a little further to a bakery that has good food and GREAT customer service.
Awesome food and pan dulce! (Sweet bread)
Prado Bakery on Rich Beem normally has the best menudo in town BUT lately its been stinky!!! Im not sure if they changed personnel or they are being careless cleaning the menudo. We were not able to eat it today 09/12/2020. VERY DISSAPOINTED!! NOT SURE IF ILL KEEP BUYING FROM THERE AND WILL STOP REFERRING PEOPLE TO GO THERE!
The menudo is really good and the pozole. The tamales are ok. No wonder they always have a big line the food is good. Doesn’t hurt to try them out won’t regret it prices are reasonable.
I just for the first time here and the guy who attended us was rough . There are no signs to follow and when II asked him how is the procedure was not nice!! Anyway I wont come back here
Burritos and Menudo here are excellent! Definitely recommend to everyone
Love the sweet bread and food
I just want to give credit to the young man who was helping in front today... While I was in line I was noticing how well n with a great smile he was helping customers. When it was my turn he was the one who helped me, he has very good people skills and very attractive to what we order.... His name is Jan/that is what his shirt said 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👌
So far every burrito I have tried has been some of the best in El Paso. Great prices too.
Service was fast, the cashier knew what she was doing. I ordered a bunch of tortillas and Casadellia wraps. My friends dont think they were that good but I loved it. The also had fresh squeezed orange juice. Id definitely recommend.
The menudo has NO MEAT you should be ashamed. I bought 4 large menudos and just one had 3 pieces of meat. SLOW ladies at the front they don’t communicate and get on the way of each other. It’s just ridiculous.
Don’t give them a bad rating for being temporarily closed people!! The employees and the food here are amazing 🤦🏻♀️
First time going there and it did not disappoint! The burritos were awesome and the tortillas are delicious.
Great bakery, tons of options besides bread. Menudo, Burritos, Tortas...
Their chicken salad was delicious!
Wonderful customer service, beautiful interior and exterior, delicious food and desserts, simply a fantastic place to go. We regularly go there for their burritos. Recently been purchasing their brisket by the pound. Its only $7.75/lb which is a steal compared to most places, including Vista Market which sells it for $10.99/lb and theirs doesnt have near as much flavor as El Prados. If you havent been already, GO! You will not be disappointed.
I really really loved this place, I literally went twice a week for donuts and they were fabulous! I’ve been beyond disappointed the last five or so times I’ve gone...I really like their custard filled powdered donuts and custard filled chocolate donuts with sprinkles but lately they have been almost completely without custard. I started buying two custards donuts just to scrape the custard from one to put into the other, but both were so void of custard the past two times that I still couldn’t fill half a donut with the custard provided in the two donuts. It’s disappointing to be excited about something and to pay for something and not get it. I apparently really like this bakery because I keep going back, but after my last experience, it doesn’t seem worth it anymore.
They sell tamales with no meat (a tiny strip of meat only) and the pozole used to have big chunks of meat, but it no longer does.
Worse place to eat I asked for 2 burittos Al mexciana and I want 1 buritto and 1 menudo after I found out that they had menudo well they said I couldnt get the menudo because I had already ordered the burittos but I havent even paid yet so I was forced to buy them but little did I know they didnt even fold the burittos right all the meat fell out and the tomatoes and onions and jalapeno werent even cut right they were big Peaces that I almost choked on there attitude was horrible I didnt even want to pay for my order but I was hungry
Came here specifically for tamales they notified me it will be another 30 min. I bought them and some sweet bread for the family while we waited for the tamales. We waited an hour and they were still not ready. I would have been fine coming back a couple of hours later to pick them up. But the cook kept dating another 30 min. Im very dissapointed.
Come here to grab goodies for my kids. I just tried their tamales and there wasn’t any filing in them. It was nothing but masa. So, I do suggest you get tamales somewhere else.
Bread is amazing sweet and bolillos menudo was 6/10 service has always been decent. Been there two times
I really like this place but since they re open there food is not the same we got tamales & they were blan no taste to them there burritos the same. I was so disappointed.
Nice location for mexican food. will surely make a return trip. it has a good interior. i see why this place has so many good reviews.
Good place. Food is good. Havent tried the menudo yet.... But it smells great. Dont like that they charge 30cents for hot sauce though!Costumer service is super friendly though!
The food is awesome. The only problem I have its forever to just place an order. One Sunday I waited one hour in line. One hour just to place the dam order. And they never answer phone orders
Great service and yummy food👍🏼😁
Love this place. Tastes amazing and good price too. They have drinks and burritos, salads as well.Im happy that I found this place♡
I have gone there several time and their menudo is so spicy it’s ridiculous. I’ve asked multiple times why does it have to been so spicy you can’t even eat it. Their only response is “I’m sorry but we don’t control the spice” Food should not be too spicy to eat especially when your kids want some also. Another things is they add an extra cost to every purchase making you pay their bank fee for using cards. How is that even fair.
Usually I would be excited to pickup food here, but sometimes my order is received wrong and some customers take forever to decide on their orders. Ill keep hoping the wait time will be faster.
Service has improved significantly. There were a few times before that I came and the wait time was at 20+ minutes for something that should take 5-10 mins (burritos in this case).I also noticed they have a bigger staff which clearly was the issue in terms of wait time. Finally I continue to come here because the food is consistently great and very delicious!Thank you for making the appropriate changes to improve in all areas to cater to your customers needs!!!
Placed an order for 50+ dollars went to pick up and order was not complete. Called restaurant to let them know and manager augured with telling me I was wrong with out letting me tell him what was missing. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, and horrible manger service. Will never order from there again. Check your order before you leave.
I had heard good things about this bakery from a friend so decided to gather a bunch of friends and check it out.Much to our dissatisfaction the food here is so greasy with oil dripping from pretty much everything everyone ordered.Their prices are cheap but their food is also extremely cheaply made. You get what you pay for.I went around 11am and they were out of their fresh pots of coffee. I asked if they can brew some more since both pots were empty but the switch was still on for the hot water. The lady said no they cannot brew more fresh coffee. I was amazed at the horrible customer service. The food (burritos, quesadillas) was super oily, greasy with oil dripping and the pastries we got were dried and old.Wouldnt go back here again. Bella Cora Bakery in the area is way better, awesome customer service and high quality foods.
Purchased 8 Tortas steak with beans, but got burritos with steak with no beans.Dont try to call their phone that is posted, because they dont answer. Tried 5 times.
My family and I frequently visit this local bakery. Not only do they have the absolute freshest, biggest and tastiest tortillas ever, but they also carry a fantastic variety of pastries and other sweets. Their customer service is top-notch as well. Theyre always so friendly and helpful. The seating area is a big space with a plenty of tables & chairs and natural light. They even have high chairs if you need one for a child. We will be back!
The bakery items were delicious. Im rating it a 3 because even though the food was delicious this is NOT a coffee shop and should not be advertised as such. They serve black coffee. Thats it.
Love their Tortas and Pan Dulce!
🙂
