We got cupcakes and macaroons here and the service was very good. I would recommend this place for signature cakes.

Ordered a box of cupcakes for a special treat for my niece and we all loved them. I received some Christmas themed cupcakes as a gift and the snowman and Santa design on them were absolutely adorable! Love this place! Friendly business too!

Very disappointed with their major lack of attention to detail. We gave me them a picture (attached) of what we wanted, but got a product that appeared made by an 11 year old. No uniformity, the painting on the fondant was smeared in areas and appeared blotchy in others. It was supposed to look like an amazing pottery cake. It didnt. Eventually the fondant started gravitating and falling, making the cake look like a disaster. We ordered lemon / poppy seed and only got lemon.Giving it 2 stars because the cake was deliciously lemony and moist and because we ordered on a Monday and they had it for us on Friday.However, if it was too much work to properly complete the cake, they should have communicated it to us. Also if they didnt have poppy seed, that should have also told to us before agreeing to anything.I was embarrassed to show my cake to guests, embarrassed to photograph it.

I bought cup cakes for my children and I to go. I got the almond cupcake with buttercream, a red velvet for my son and a strawberry cupcake for my daughter. They were so good I decided it’s where I am ordering my wedding cake.

The people at this place are decorating masters apart from making delicious cakes! Every experience I had from the cake boutique was a good one so I strongly recommend this bakery.

Its very obvious which reviews are real and which are not. This isnt a real cake place, they will make one if you order it. They try to deter you with poor service so they dont have to make cakes.Pretty sure that lots of money gets cleaned here.

Went to pick up the cake and some fondant decorations were falling off... then as we got ready to go they didn’t have a box to put the cake in. The excuse was they ran out of boxes SMDH, employee then proceeded to grab a shipping box to suggest to put the cake in. This is an infection control issue! Shipping boxes are DIRTY!!!! Another problem was the bow on the cake did not look like the picture it was small. I got charged $120 btw and no apologies or anything..... save yourself the time and go someplace else. Picture with the cupcakes is the cake we wanted. If you look closely you’ll see the fondant decoration on the right is falling off.

I placed an order for a vanilla cake with fondant and I asked if they could write happy birthday on the front. When I went to pick the cake up they gave me a buttercream cake with no happy birthday written on the tray. I immediately returned the cake as the birthday boy doesn’t like buttercream and this wasn’t the cake I had ordered. The owner agreed to remake the cake with fondant and told me I could pick it up in a few hours, when I went to pick up the new cake the “happy birthday” still wasn’t written on and the cake was still buttercream with a layer of fondant just stuck on top. Very disappointed I should have read all the bad reviews in advance and ordered from a better bakery

Ordered a cake from here and the strawberries in the middle was just about rotten. They tasted so bad. I believe it gave me and my son food poisoning because we had severe stomach cramping and diarrhea. They also did not have any boxes to fit the cake in. I have ordered cakes here in the past and never been this disappointed.

Placed an order and there wasn’t much communication. To my surprise the cake and cupcakes I ordered weren’t in the flavors I had asked. I am disappointed especially because the cake I paid for didn’t include my husband’s name or birthday message. When I asked the man helping me he didn’t offer to fix my issue.

We ordered a cake for my father in laws birthday and were incredibly disappointed with the results. We placed our order over the phone with the person claiming to be the owner. She told us her best seller was an almond coconut cake and we told her we would try that one. The first issue was the fact that we were it given a box that actually fit our cake. We picked up our order in a box that would not close over the cake without smashing it. To our disappointment, our cake ended up being red velvet when we cut into it. We were charged $85 for a cake that would feed 10-15 people and I can honestly say it was not worth our money. Will not be ordering from cake boutique again.

I bought cupcakes here for the first time and they were not very good. Dry, dense, and the frosting was a cream cheese flavor on all 3 different cupcake flavors we bought including strawberry. I dont know about you but there should only be cream cheese frosting for the carrot cupcakes and thats all. They had it even on the birthday cake flavor and it just wasnt very good.

I ordered through uber eats before I checked the reviews. I ordered three macaroons: raspberry, caramel and vanilla, and oreo cupcake and the banana cupcake. They gave me two lemon and a raspberry macaroons, they were very dry and honestly not very good. The banana cupcake was very moist, but the oreo cupcake was dry and the frosting tasted like the fridge. I definitely wont be ordering from here again.

My mother in law ordered our baby shower cake from this cake shop and it was amazing! We had a beautiful cake that was delicious as well. (We chose the almond cake with butter cream frosting) Highly recommend this bakery.

From the moment you walk in, the service was unprofessional. The one guy was on his phone. We told him it was our first time, but dont acknowledge it. Had to ask what kind of cupcakes they had. He was bothered by the question and just started shooting off flavors. Strawberry, chocolate, orange.... I mean I can make these cupcakes at home with this attitude. We asked if the small cakes were make today he said yes. We ordered 2. The almond and pistachio cake were the driest, super sweet, no flavor cakes ever. I dont recommend going here. Find another cupcake place or go across the shopping center to Chocolat!

Completely ruined my sons party! The cake was beautiful, but it was frozen and we were not able to eat it. The owner was well aware of the time of our party when she knowingly gave us the frozen cake. I texted her after the party and she said she put the cake in the freezer so that it wouldnt melt in the car, but that was not true because the cake was still frozen several hours after the party! I believe she makes cakes, puts them in the freezer, and puts icing on them when she is in a time crunch. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I was apprehensive to go here because of the bad reviews. I went to get a cupcake for a friends birthday, and I wanted it to be good. I was presently surprised. They had a decent selection of cupcakes and they were very friendly. They even had a single candle for the cupcake, which was exactly what I needed. The most important part was, the cupcakes were great. I highly recommend this place. They must have completely changed from a year ago, when that had bad reviews.

I wish I could give this place a zero. I ordered my custom birthday cakes from Cake Boutique in the past without having an issue, but this year was different. I ordered 2 custom cakes and some sugar cookies a month prior to my son’s birthday party. I picked up my order at 10 am on the day of the party which started at 1 pm. I attempted to cut both cakes at 3 pm and they were frozen solid. I thought she gave me an ice cream cake. It was an awful experience for me and my 5 year old son. The cake is the centerpiece of a kid’s party. I had 50+ guest waiting for cake they never got to eat. The cookies were hard and when I attempted to eat one the icing crumbled off. This made it impossible for 4 and 5 year olds to eat them. After contacting the owner, she told me she didn’t want the cakes to melt before the party and that’s why they were frozen. I thought it was a fluke until I attended my godson’s party yesterday and his cake was frozen too. If you want an edible cake steer clear of this place!!!

I had an extremely poor experience with The Cake Boutique. I had ordered cupcakes and cookies for my baby shower over a month in advance. When we went to pick up the order at the time that they had designated for pick up nothing was done. We waited until the last possible minute. But, time ran out and we were forced to take cupcakes and cookies that had not been completed. Entire parts of the design that we had discussed had been left out. Some of the cupcakes and cookies were left completely without design. They offered no discount for the order that was not finished. The cookies and cupcakes were part of the entire theme of the shower and having them look carelessly finished was a huge disappointment.

Definitely the best orange cupcake Ive ever tasted! Beats smallcakes and dirty mouth cupcakes hands down, and they dont go overboard on frosting to cover up a bad cake. I havent had one of their party cakes, but I loved going in at least once a month for a couple cupcakes.

Please people take your business elsewhere. The business I work for orders from this place regularly. And we had an accident where a cake was ordered and when it came time to pick up, the order must have travelled all the way to Neverland and hid under Michael Jacksons bed because the order was lost. The owner was shady AF and didnt seem to care when she was told we would not order from them again. Plus them cakes are always frozen and ok. Theres plenty of places who do better cakes for less and are a whole lot friendlier too. Cake boutique? More like swap meet cake exchange with that customer service.

Absolutely terrible service... After almost 9 years not to mention work related purchases.. I sadly walk out thinking this is exactly why retail is closing.. Wanted to order a cake and cupcakes for my daughter 9th Birthday. The gentleman asked when will you need it I said I can pick up Saturday .. Without even asking what my request was he turned me away because they are booked! “We are basically booked” he said. WOW!! He let me walk out without hesitation.. Extremely disappointed as I would consider myself a loyal customer... Call me when your going out of business just in case!

The most unprofessional service ever! I submitted a picture and the people told me that they could make it exactly. They charged $100 for a 20 person square cake, and because I was paying so much I trusted that it would come out like I had asked. When I saw the cake my heart sank. Armature work! I used to be a cake decorator and the reason that I paid for the cake was to save me time which was a big mistake. I should have just made it myself it would have come out way better. Also when I called and asked why it looked nothing like the picture I sent. They insisted it was exact. I am going to post a pic so you can see how off it was. Its supposed to look like a pixel cake from minecraf. I even asked for a refund and told them I would return the cake but they refused to give me a refund. I also am a banquet coordinator so I can promise I will tell my clients to never use this place for any events!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE and PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!! They also know that these things are time sensitive and realize there is nothing you can do when you finally see their crappy work! NEVER GO HERE!

When talking to one of the employees, they informed me that certain things are just not done there. They don’t build tier cakes. When I was asking about the possibility of doing other things with the cakes it seemed as though it was more complicated for them to meet the demand because it would be going outside the box.The Baileys chocolate cake balls were very good. I liked the way the looked cover in milk chocolate with a touch of sprinkles. I just hope they have the foresight to change up their policy and expand their knowledge with new ideas. El Paso needs cake shops like that and they would go far because there’s nothing like it in the city. I know El Paso is a Spanish speaking town but good customer service includes someone who can speak and understand English too.

We use the cake boutique for all our office birthdays which are about twice a month so were definitely a frequent customer of theirs. We have never had an issue with them until today when they completely dropped the ball on a cake we had pre-ordered from a few days back. We went to pick it up and they didnt have it, they never made it and their response was that whoever we spoke with never wrote it down. Obviously we were upset since we needed that cake by a certain time and they didnt have it, no apologies were offered and when they delivered it as a courtesy the owner tried to just drop it off and run. When confronted she was very rude, didnt apologize and didnt care that they dropped the ball. We told her that we wont be ordering from them again and her response was, Ni modo and took off. Super unprofessional, no concern about making sure their customers are happy, and they have definitely lost a steady source of revenue from us. Definitely would not recommend to anyone anymore.

We went through this bakery to get cookies, cupcakes, and macaroons for a baby shower. The food was prepaid and we heard about no problems until an hour before we were supposed to pick it up! They decided to call then. We wanted to have everything ready for when people arrived but were not able to. We had to wait another 15 minutes when we went to pick up the food. The food got to the venue after the guests. Then everything was not as it had been decided on. The cupcakes were not fully decorated or the small cake we had gotten as a topper for the cupcake tier. They offered no real apology, they gave us a few more free macaroons. They didnt give us any of our money back even though they had inconvenienced us so badly. I will never use this place again and I will advise everyone else not to.

While I’ve never had poor service, and my cake was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious, my wedding cake was greatly flawed: it was missing the cake topper. There is no reason why it should have gone amiss, I left it with the girl who took the order, she and I discussed in detail what I wanted, but somehow the baker forgot my topper. If there was a question or miscommunication on my part I was never contacted to clear it up, so I’m led to believe that this error was solely lack of attention to detail. It was an important detail, it was my wedding cake. I’ll never get this memory or cake back again. The worst part was the manager gave me a voucher and was not really apologetic at all; saying it was “good luck to have something go wrong on your wedding day.” I don’t know what lore she reads, but that is something no bride or customer should ever hear when the business is the one who messed up. Never ordering here for important events again.

Went into look through their portfolio of designs to get an idea of what I wanted and was told I needed to go online and look thru either Facebook or Instagram myself or bring a picture of what I wanted. (I was puzzled because I’ve been here a few times before to get a cakes and when I asked for a “catalog” I was handed an iPad with their portfolio of previous designs.) this time I wasn’t. I turned to my assistant and said ok let’s go. I’ll look up the designs and call tomorrow and left. I called today and said I needed to order a cake for Saturday afternoon and she said she wasn’t sure could get it done in 3 days but needed 5 days. I asked “so you leave them sitting for 5 days in a refrigerator?” She replied, “is that bad?” Then she went on to say I was rude for walking out and not ordering the previous day. I said I tried but you all didn’t have anything for me to look at so I did what she said to do and went home and figured out how to see her work on social media myself. I finally got to her work and selected a cake design and called her and she said was rude. She claims to be the manager and the girl that told me to go look myself was her daughter then when I asked to speak to the owner she said she was the owner now too. Lol. She screamed and yelled but of course I scream and yell louder and I know English and half the stuff she yelled didn’t make sense in English. This is a crazy ignorant lady claiming to just be the manager then comes on the phone as owner. Seems she acts like a psycho to everyone from all the reviews. You lost my business and I’m gonna keep passing the word to steer clear of this dump. I told her I was going to give a bad review and she said “I no care! I already have lot of bad reviews, goat a head and do what Jew wan!”

This place has amazing cakes, cupcakes and sweets to pick up, but dont you dare order a prepaid cake. They cant communicate between staff so everything gets all messed up. I ordered a simple cake they always have in stock just in case it sold out and told the lady I needed it by 6 pm. I arrive and to no surprise it wasnt frosted, just baked because the first employee forgot to inform the second employee about the cake. I had a dinner I needed to be at at ended up arriving 30 minutes late because they only have one employee at a time and obviously had to stop frosting every time a new client came in the store. It was sad honostly because their cakes are very good and Irish cream balls are to die for. So come by and pick something up but dont you dare order something from here for an event because you will be dissapointed.

This was a very awful experience. We sent in a picture and ask if they could make the cake look like the picture. The owner said yes and we place our order, however the day of pick up we went to go pick up the cake and it wasnt even started. We went back later and the cake looked awful it looked nothing like the cake that we had sent in the picture. We paid full price for the awful cake and had to take it to another place to get it fixed really fast since it was for a wedding that day. When we took it to the other bakery they found hairs in the frosting of our cake and had to completely redo it.

I have been here several times and have enjoyed everything I have tried, but have to admit I keep going back for the Baileys Irish Creme balls - best thing ever! Unfortunately, I live close enough that I will probably put 10 pounds on in the next year just from this one place!

It takes a certain degree of carelessness and negligence to get a cake order for a gender reveal shower wrong but somehow CAKE BOUTIQUE managed to do it! Attended a gender reveal baby shower where the inside of the cake would reveal BLUE FOR BOY OR PINK FOR GIRL... The cake was left WHITE! It was a disappointment for the soon to be parents and confusion for all their guests. Needless to say, will never recommend a bakery like CAKE BOUTIQUE to be a part of a special occasion due to their lack of attention to detail and utter disregard for their clients. There are too many other excellent bakeries in the El Paso area to risk giving business to one that is obviously substandard.

Horrible experience! Stay away from this bakery. Ordered gender reveal cake and requested for caketo be blue inside, to reveal gender..IT WASNT BLUE!! Reveal was for my husband, family and 45 guests. Went to bakery to see where the disconnect in communication was and was told that it was my fault! That at my initial visit with one of the employees (cant remember her name) I wasnt technically placing the order. I was suppose to have provided that information upon my second visit. First of all, I explained at length the color scheme, writing on the cake, and blue color during our first visit. I returned a second time to give the down payment. The employee that helped me at that time was a different employee that DID NOT inform me of their process of re-explaining cake specifications. She knew my total and gladly took my payment. Never once did she ask a single question. How is it that every detailed explained during my first meeting was executed except for the most important, blue cake color? Upon my return this afternoon I was told by 2 employees that I should have known I needed to discuss the details on my second visit. How would I have known if it was never explained to me? Whatever their process and protocols are, are beknown to me. How am I at fault? Not only did they take zero responsibility but they were very unapologetic and offered no resolve. They both were talking down to me..thank God Im bilingual and was able to carry-on the conversation in English and Spanish! Arguing with a 5 months pregnant customer over YOUR mistake..very classy!! All 45 of my guests saw their screw up and will not be supporting their unprofessional, lackluster bakery.

On Aug 15, 2017, I went to the Cake Boutique with a color copy of a specialty cake I wanted made for my sons 18th Birthday. They were to deliver it on Aug 26, 2017. I called that day to confirm the location and time for delivery. The person on the phone seemed at a loss for words, didnt speak good english and said she would have someone call me back. I then realized something was wrong. I immediately went to the location where I spoke to a lady and learned my cake had not been made.Im unsure if she was the owner, a manager or an employee. She apologized and explained somehow my order was LOST despite showing me the carbon receipt in her receipt book next to the cash register. Obviously, there are no checks and balances. She refunded the $100 I paid on Aug 15, 2017 and gave me a free cake out of the case. A young mans 18th Birthday is like a Sweet 16 or Quinceañera! Needless to say I was furious and disappointed. A free cake doesnt make up for such poor business practices and customer service. I will NEVER do business there again! I have also sent a note to my collegues who daily coordinate events/ceremonies with local officials, military, etc...that this is a place to NOT do business with on behalf of our professional organization.

First off, you walk into this place, everything look really good! Such a nice cupcake presentation. Service was not great though. First, hovering, then not knowing how to take the order to geing with. I spent just over $17 ON 4 CUPCAKES AND TEENY TINY BAG OF COOKIES! The cookies were crunchy & dry, they had good flavor, but overly crisp, they did make great dog treats for my lab though. But My husband sister & I went for the cupcakes, and oh how completely unsatisfied we were!! They were heavy, very dense & dry!! The frosting was thick, almost rubbery like (we got the cheesecake cupcake) The frosting almost smelled of a refridgerant smell, like they have been made days ago, and have been sitting there for over a week. They definately were not fresh!! I will never go to his establishment agan. If you all want a really good cupcake on the westide go to Manjar!

The chocolate cake is ricosuper yummy !!! It is definitely not mass-produced cake like walmart or sams, I like it more handmade, my family liked it so much that there was no take away .... I was very well served RECOMMENDED!
