I have stopped by several times over the past month when I discovered that we finally have a gun shop on the Far East. I have interacted with almost all the employees and they are all friendly and helpful in answering my questions and letting me just peruse with no pressure to buy. But that should be expected of every store. What really made me write this, my first review on Google, is when they went above and beyond in getting to know their customers. Serving and helping them like family. And creating lifelong customers not just trying to make a quick buck. And of course hooking it up when there is something that you really want and the owner whips out his secret stash of toys. Great small business that is worth your money over Cabelas and Academy.

Great place, very professional. The salesman/women are knowledgeable on the products they sell, unlike Academy these people know what they are talking about, the weapons, tactical equipment, silencers are grade A and at a reasonable price. They offer license to carry classes as well as properly taking apart your weapon & maintaining it. If I ever want to buy another gun I am definitely coming back here, best gun shop in El Paso hands down.

So overall my experience with Freedom Weapons has been a good one every single time I have purchased a firearm with them, and can truly say that they have the best prices on new firearms in the southwest! (Given I have shopped at TombStone Tactical Phoenix and Miller’s in Las Cruses) I recently dropped about $1750 on an LWRC Rifle and some gear, I did experience a small hiccup I had at the store with a misunderstanding on the financing not knowing how the process works (My Fault), I am confident that everything will go smoothly as I have purchased with them before when they didn’t have the store front. Did a FFL transfer with these guys. Went as smooth as could be and the owner seemed like a really good guy. It was my first time in the store and I really liked the modern look to it. I walked In there cash in hand to buy a custom Glock, but the moment I walked in they made me feel like I was there to rob the place. I had eyes on me the whole time I was there even thou I wasn’t the only person there. I am a pretty young guy, short, tan complected. The other men that where there where older you can tell LEO’s. The older man behind the counter was kinda nice and asked me if I needed anything to let him know. When I did ask a question he didn’t know so he asked the younger guy that was at the end of the counter staring me down. The guy had been giving me dirty looks the whole time I was there but never actually answered the question as he was to busy on the phone. When I asked a follow up question the younger guy told me to wait as he was on the phone and the call seemed more important than answering my questions. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out the guy was on the phone. The younger guy never answered my question and when I asked him again he said to give him a minute with attitude. I was excited to get a locally owned firearm’s dealer in our area but service was just not all there. I hate to say it but I took my business elsewhere and still got the same product. Not that it affects them in anyway but customer service is key in this situation.Update in response the the post from the owner:So your response to the bad customer service is try and justify why I am wrong? I never gave the date nor the time of when I was present at the store, so how could you have reviewed the tapes? I’m sure you see my name on the post but I never registered my name in your system so how would you have know who I am?. The call that the attendant was on sounded personal and not customer related. It’s not my business what the call was about but that doesn’t justify the way I was talked to. A business that strives for customer satisfaction does not post a response to try and disprove the customer. Again that’s just bad customer service.

Horrible and awkward experience… just went in to look for a new 9mm. The owner I’m guessing ( some old man with grey hair ) immediately tells me to take my mask off. I told him no I’m okay and his whole tone changed as if I offended him. I brush it off and start asking about what guns they have in stock and he hardly interacts just kind of half answers my questions and stares at me. Was thinking of getting a pistol with them but after that encounter I’ll never go back. He just made my whole shopping experience awkward and uncomfortable. The girl assistant was very helpful though I must say.

Over all poor experience. They did not have much selection and the staff was distant. Damn near rude to be blunt. I could rant but no need to slander.

I went in today hoping to get an extremely nice and expensive Father’s Day gift for my husband. I’ll be honest, I did not know what I wanted to buy for him because I’m not much of a gun enthusiast myself, but I went in open to suggestions, and looking for guidance from an expert. There were other customers in the store but when it came to my turn, the man spent maybe 10 seconds with me and when he realized I wasn’t too sure on what I was looking for, he quickly moved on to three armed forces gentlemen who walked out of the store without buying anything. I was so apprehensive on going in to buy something without any sort of experience or knowledge on my future purchase but his customer service surely did not help at all. I left feeling angry that I was there specifically for a a great present for my husband and I left empty handed. I took my business elsewhere and bought and ordered something great with the help of Acadamy personnel, but I wanted to let store know of their failed customer service today.

Carlos at freedom weapons was very helpful in finding the weapons my wife and I looking for. This place seems to have a much better selection than the other places I visited. When I ordered a weapon he didnt have, I was warned it could take a few months because of covid and supplies. In less than one month I had my CZ in hand. other shops around here I was told they didnt know when i could order. Actions speak louder then words, so this is definitely where I will guide friends too.

I have only been in El Paso a short time but I have visited several gun stores looking for specific items. Freedom Weapons is the only place that had exactly what I was looking for. In addition to an expansive inventory of weapons, to include the rare and exotic, they also have excellent customer service and obvious knowledge of their products. The young lady that works the register, (I cant recall her name at the moment), helped me decide between a Glock 43 or a Sig P365 for my new EDC. I ended up purchasing the NRA edition P365 for a great price and I couldnt be happier. I also took the LTC course they offer on site and was very impressed with the instructors knowledge and qualifications. Course was very informative and to the point. Overall, Freedom Weapons is a superb establishment that is definitely my exclusive firearms retailer from now on. Highly recommend.

Do not buy from Freedom Weapons. I ordered a handgun online and the owner didnt contact me for about a week, then kept playing games with me, every time I would go to either try to pick up my gun or get a refund, there was something always wrong to where I couldnt get either. Went to academy and bought the EXACT same gun in less than 30 minutes. Here I am a week after requesting a refund and still no answer or anything. Do not buy from here, unless you want to be lied to and pretty much stolen from.

I purchased a fireman online April 7th 2021! Two weeks went by no call on my background so I called Carlos ! Of course I was told it was delayed understandable. I wait another week call again same answer Delayed. I was frustrated I admit I spoke with Carlos and he was honest and very explanatory yet I still thought Carlos was giving me the run around. Great customer service just picked up my gun (12/28/2020). The sellers system was down for weeks and couldnt make the transfer right away. But with patience and checking in with the seller with the status of his system if it was up and running or not, I was able to complete the transfer and receive my gun!
