The office is very clean and the staff is friendly! I had to change to this new dr office and really was really hesitant to do so, but after my visit I was very happy. The whole office was nice and it was such a pleasant experience! Picking out my glasses was not a chore either … in fact, I actually enjoyed it! I can’t wait to get my new lenses.

Go elsewhere. Guy giving the eye exam was nice but the doctor couldn’t be bothered to give you her time. Was pressured to go fast through the exam which probably led to a not so accurate prescription. Customer service is a definite problem, very unfriendly for the scalp level prices. Will not be returning.

This place is serious about protecting you from Covid-19: You must wait outside, then before you come in, your temp is taken. Once youre inside, you immediately go to a sink to wash your hands. All equipment is wiped down between patients, and often in front of you. The entire facility is spotless.Additionally, for the exam - all staff is friendly and informative, explaining every test before administering it.Dr Courtney Hongo is a great optometrist, listening and explaining and answering any questions. I highly recommend.

High quality staff, service and eyewear. Had my annual exam after delaying due to COVID. Have been here for many years with Dr. Hansen, but after purchasing a pair of Warby Parker (WP) progressive lens eyeglasses, I realized how much superior the Advanced Eyecare Center (AEC) is in comparison. WP uses an older version of the progressive lens technology which limits my viewing angle. Also the AEC had precise tools to measure my fit and pupil compared to they manual eyeing it method of WP. All prices and discounts were clearly provided. It was a pleasure being with such a professional team. Im looking forward to my new pair of progressive lens glasses soon. Thank you.

Takes a long time to be seen with an appointment; responses take more than a week via email; expensive frames (minimum $330); expensive lenses (~$160 high ) compared to other optometristsNice people though and detailed exams/machinesIf money and time isnt an issue, this is a good place to get an eye exam. Its just frustrating how long everything takes. Operations could definitely be improved for better patient experience.

I came into Advanced Eyecare center at Manhattan Beach to get my lenses swapped from an old frame to a new one. There were safety prescription glasses so removing the existing lens and replacing them with new one was not an easy task. However, Daniel Reyes helped me out and was able to replace them - this took considerable amount of effort but by new lens and frames fit me perfectly! Thanks again Daniel.

Theyre very nice. The background music is actually pleasant (old school crooners). They were scrupulous enough to repeat tests whose results they werent pleased with. I havent received the prescription, yet, but Ive every confidence itll be good or theyll fix it.

The staff is extremely professional and qualified but but they overdo it with all of the machines for eye testing. It really feels unnecessary and overkill. I can see one or two machines but they have too many and should only be used for people with real eye issues. Not sure what the impact is on the eyes.

Ive been going here for years and will continue. They have an excellent selection of frames that come with a great warranty. I purchased frames years ago and theyve been repaired a couple of times at no charge. The last time the assistant volunteered a repair that I didnt know was needed.They never try to sell you, which i really appreciate. I highly recommend their services.

Ten star experience with every member of the staff and the most thorough, caring doctor ever! I got an appointment same day, I think they stayed late for me.They repaired three frames I did not buy there and adjusted all of my other frames. Dr. Tracy Wong was sweet, gentle and explained all of the tests that were done.This is the best experience I have ever had at an eye exam and the best news is that Medicare covered all but one small test! So there is one advantage getting older!!

What a negative experience I just had at Advanced Eyecare Center of Manhattan Beach. The initial interaction with Stephen was great and the exam was fine. When I was in the final step with Daniel to get my new lenses things went downhill fast. He became visibly annoyed upon learning that I wasn’t getting frames AND lenses and that my insurance covered 20% of whatever I chose. Luckily I had printed off my insurance coverage but Daniel argued uncomfortably about the % and then picked an arbitrary % of 10% that he said they’d cover. Where’s the customer service or basic respect in treating clients? I decided to take my business elsewhere after that since he made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. I would highly recommend not putting yourself through this same experience.

I was seeing them for a few years... I finally had to find another place. There were problems with the last two set of glasses I ordered that took abut two months to receive each and then the last pair didnt work. I had to fight to get a refund.But most importantly, I always felt it was about 10% check your eyes and 90% sell you some glasses. Maybe all places are like that. I guess I will find out when I find a new place. Too bad they are in a great location for me

The service was ok. I felt it was more expensive if you have insurance. The pricing was misleading and I felt there was fees on top of fees and the outcome of the frame cost was more like two pairs total from another retailer. Very dissatisfied. I recently had my annual vision exam by Dr. Nicole Kohan, same great service and selection as always. They have acquired new technology since my last visit; a test that scans the eyelid glands. Dr. Hansen had already been treating me for dry eye so this test was able to determine if i was a candidate for a new dry eye treatment they offer, a Blephex and Lipiflow treatment. This treatment is not covered by insurance but I have experienced such a good result that I would highly recommend it.Additionally, since my last visit there is new lens technology for my progressive glasses; called the X lens with a new non glare coating called Crizal Sapphire. All I can say is these are awesome lens!

I went to the Advanced Eyecare Center of Manhattan Beach a few days ago because of blurred vision. The excellent and very friendly staff ran a standard batch of tests on their professional looking apparatus. They gave the results to the inhouse ophtamologist Dr. Wong who asked me some more questions and ran some further tests. When she realized that my blurred vision might have been caused by a neurological issue, she referred me to a neurologist. I think it is a sign of high ethical standards that the Eyecare Center did not primarily try to sell glasses or contacts. My impression of the Center was excellent.Andrea Stumm

I had a 1:20 appointment.I was called twice and text once as a reminder a couple of days prior to my appointment. I showed up on time just to sit around for a half hour and no doctor.Not a place you want to visit if youre looking to be seen on time.
