We decided to start shopping for a newer car for our son. Midway was the first place we went because 2 years prior we purchased his last vehicle at Midway without issues.My son did not find a vehicle, but I did.We arrived to Midway at 10am to start looking. We decided to purchase my car about noon. The manager brought an offer from one of their banks with high interest rate about 1:15pm. I called my bank about 1:30pm and was approved by 2pm. Everything was done, waiting on the letter from my lender. At 3 the manager told me I had to leave and come back Monday because they were closing.Of course because there was a deal on the table and we were waiting on one document I said nope. And called my bank to get status. I was told the person working on my deal would call me right back!At 3:20, conveniently right after my husband left, the manager came to the table and DEMANDED I finance with his bank at a higher interest rate because the total interest difference over loan term would be “only” $207. I told him I gladly would if he took $500 more off price of car, of course he would not.I called back my bank. I explained to the lady on the phone that they were trying to make me leave or force me to finance with someone else, she got the paperwork from the man that had it and completed the paperwork while I was on hold.I left with my car about 4pm!The ONLY reason the rating is 2-star is because the salesman was nice and really tried to keep us happy even though the manager was bullying and being extremely rude to me and my husband!

Purchased a 2006 4 Runner on Nov 2006 from Midway Auto Group.Today I told the frame rust has made the vehicle economicly unrepairable.The dealer knew of this rust attempted to cover it with under coating. Rust was beyond the frame. How could a reputable dealership not be aware of this rust.I take some responsibility for not doing more research on Toyota rust problems.I have replaced steering columns, rusted spare tire mechanisms, transmission lines. Yesterday the brake lining rusted through. I had I been on the road the vehicle would not have any way to stop.The GM at Midway has offered no help with this issue.I will be seeking any means neccessary to see that this dealership is exposed for its actions.

More specifically (meaning) the charming & well traveled, Elizabeth Meads.A MVAccident (not my fault), brought me to suddenly needing to replace my vehicle...I had rented a Dodge Journey, some years back, & recalled enjoying it so much - but didn’t think I’d be able to afford one - much less a slick, tricked out one! Well I’m proud to say I was wrong... I saw online that there was one listed at Midway, I went to check it & out ... literally pleading with the Universe & God to please guide me to a solution to the pickle I was in & please no lemons! “All is well that ends well,” I not only was treated with respect, but understanding, options & wisdom. I took myself home in my new ride - I was able to afford it w/o a co-signer, & with joy shared across the showroom! They even helped me drop the rental that I was in upon arrival. 3months extended warranty & a greeting card to brighten my spirits. If the wreck-of12/23 has shown me anything, its that miracles can happen, that a persons prayers can be answered, & that even new friends can be there for you when family lives too far away. Count me extremely impressed with Midway.Ps Toyota in E.City - told me there was nothing they could do except to lease me some old beat Nissan...uhhhh NO.

We had an amazing experience! We drove about 4 hours to get here and it was well worth it. Elizabeth, who helped us, was absolutely amazing! The car was the exact same price as listed online (and it was a great deal), she took us on a very thorough test drive that even included a sandy area to test out the 4WD, and they were upfront and honest about everything. On top of that, everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and it felt very personable.We had gone to another dealership the day before, and they had lied to us about the price of the car (5k more than what they had told us), wouldnt give us an interest rate unless we bought the car, and overall the experience left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. Going here completely changed that, and were very happy with our new car!

Elizabeth was really helpful. She worked with me to get the trade value I wanted and terms I needed. They gave me time to get the vehicle independently inspected and I never felt pressured to make fast decisions. Buying a used car is always somewhat risky, and I am cautious about what I buy. They understood this, and even welcomed my thoroughness. Since I have only owned my new (to me) car for a day, I cant definitively say I got a great car. I can say that I feel like I got a great car, and great deal. As of right now, I would have no problem going back to them.
DO NOT GO TO MIDWAY, My dad brought a car from here NOT even a full day he brought it home and couldn’t open the trunk WHAT SO EVER, check engine light came on and we had to take it back for the ac to be fixed the following morning from when he purchased it because that didn’t work. We dropped it off and get a call that THEY aren’t fixing the trunk because that’s basically not their problem and that the check engine light is basically not their problem either. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. also we didn’t know the check engine light was on till we had it home and went to drop it off the next morning when it came on. the trunk happened when we went to the grocery store and couldn’t open it manually nor with the button THE SAME DAY IT WAS PURCHASED. DONT GO HERE!!!!!
My wife and I drove over an hour to purchase a truck from Midway Auto Group yesterday. I have nothing but positive things to say about the whole experience. First Chris the manager posts and actual video which was very helpful in making us feel comfortable to drive that far. There were over 30 pictures which was good but the biggest selling point for me was the video. A majority of other dealerships that Ive dealt with will not do that. Elizabeth was our sales lady and she was awesome! Very responsive over text and calling. She was up front and informative and very personable as well. There was no bsing about the vehicle on anything. They were honest, courteous and never pushy. My wife and I are very thankful for the experience and would absolutely buy here again. I was truly impressed with the level of service and professionalism that I received from Midway Auto. I saw a vehicle that I liked online, sent an inquiry and heard back from Elizabeth within an hour. Elizabeth walked me through the entire process and I was able to submit all the paperwork required through email prior to going to the dealership. When I arrived, Elizabeth met me out front and already had the vehicle ready for a test drive. When we got back and I decided that I was ready to go ahead with the purchase it took an hour to finalize the details and sign everything with Chris. Truly a great experience.

I found the vehicle I was looking for online and was pleased with the customer service side of things once the ball got rolling. I ended up purchasing the vehicle. Within a week - we started hearing a slight grinding noise in the back that progressively got worse - we had it checked and found the left rear brake pad is metal on metal and now scratching the rotars. I am not sure how this even passed inspection that was done in Nov yet vehicle has only been test driven a handful of times since then. I contacted the dealer for assistance since I have only owned the vehicle for 22 days - but they declined any assistance. I know things are not perfect when buying a used vehicle and I dont expect them to be - but I DO expect the brakes to be in good order. I paid asking price for the vehicle and am VERY disappointed that they have decided not to help us out with the brake situation. This is the downfall of internet shopping - no customer loyalty, feeling of personal responsibility or relationship building. Had I bought from a local dealership (they did not have the vehicle I was looking for) - I am pretty sure that this would be taken care of immediately as repeat business in very important.

Elizabeth and Chris were extremely professional and helpful when I was looking for a new vehicle. I needed Something in particular (for my dog) and when I found it online Elizabeth and I set up a test drive. I loved the vehicle and it didn’t take long at all for me to drive it back home with my dog! There was a couple paint chips (wear and tear) and Elizabeth went online, got the paint code, and shipped it to my doorstep so I could fill in the blemishes. Beware of buying a vehicle from Midway Auto . I purchase a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo . 4 days after purchase check engine light and transmission temperature light came on. I was told that the computer needed to be reset but the issue kept happening! After several trips to get it fixed I was told the warranty would not cover anything Nor would the extended warranty I purchased through them. I was truly fooled by sales lady on a lot of things. I have already had to replace the alternator now I have to replace a computer, And now have no heat or ac . I have only owned this vehicle for 5 months company does not stand behind its products.

I recently bought a car from here, everything with the car seemed good. Two days later the service traction control light came on and and service engine light came on. The code reader said I had multiple misfires. I brought the car to the service department and they replaced one spark plug. The car continued to have problems. I went to the service department 3 times and they acted like nothing was wrong with the car. Two months later, I’m still having the same problems with this car as I did when I first got it. The service department made me feel like I was overreacting about it when something is clearly wrong with the car. Overall, a very frustrating and tiring experience.

Buying a used car has always come with some apprehension for me. Just think of the common fears of used car lots; the feeling is that either the dealer is dishonest or the car is for sale because there is something wrong with it. 2 years after my first purchase from Midway and I can honestly say that is not them.I came to Midway looking to buy a car for my wife, a new beetle. It was a surprise gift for my wife. The salesman at Midway seemed to share in my excitement in giving my wife her dream car. My excitement was kept alive by the ease of the transaction and the level of customer service I encountered from each employee/department.Two years later and my wifes car has been great and reliable. With that in mind it was time to retire my car and so I went to Midway to replace it. This experience was equally as satisfying as the first. In two years their service is still top notch.After my second purchase with Midway I had a thought as to why Midway breaks out of the user car dealership stereotype. Its obvious they care more about their reputation by putting you in a trustworthy vehicle more than closing a sale. They seem to be selective about the kind of cars they have on their lot.It might be a long time before we are in need of another vehicle, but if we do you can be sure we will be using Midway again.

Do not do business with Midway Auto Group. The following day, after our purchase, we noticed staining on our driveway. We discovered the radiator had a large crack and therefore was leaking fluid. We contacted Midway to give them a chance to make this right. We were told it was not covered under the limited warranty. End of story. They were adamant they were unaware of the crack. I suppose they don’t really know what they’re selling because apparently no one took the time to look.After researching the warranty, I learned that usually a dealer will offer to correct the wrong in defending their integrity and reputation. But not in this case. The GM was firm in his belief that he was unaware of the cracked radiator.Understandable after a few months of purchase, but the very next day? Avoid the headache of dealing with Midway. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.The only reason I gave Midway even 1 star was because Elizabeth was very kind to us and tried to help but as a salesperson, she couldn’t.

I recently bought a 05 4Runner with 102,000 miles from Midway auto about 3 weeks ago. Since the purchase I’ve had to bring it back in for multiple issues. One was covered under warranty, but the others were not so they wouldn’t fix them. I’ve had to get an alignment shortly after purchasing the vehicle because there was a large amount of wear on the inside of the tires, and the check engine light came on around the same time. There was large amounts of rust in spots that I wasn’t originally able to get to at first glance that have affected the external frame the car. The only positive I will say that the salesman, Elizabeth was very friendly and helpful.
Think twice, and then several more times before doing business here. I called to inquire about a truck on their website. Since I live an hour and a half away, which I told the saleslady, I wanted to make certain there were no known issues with the truck so I didnt waste 3 hours of driving. I was told she had driven the truck personally and it was in very good shape, even with the high mileage. I was told it was a local, 2 owner trade in. Also, I was told the second owner was a friend of someone who works at midway. I was assured it had been closely maintained, well taken care of, and once again assured there was no known problems with the truck. So I took the long drive there. Soon as the truck was cranked, the check engine light came on, and the truck was sputtering and backfiring. I was then told that had not happened before, and told it was probably something minor. We drove the truck around for a few minutes, sputtering and backfiring the whole time. Came back to Midway, and the saleslady went to check with the friend of the previous owner. I waited around because I assumed they would make this right somehow. I was then informed that this was a KNOWN problem with this truck. She said they did not know what it would take to repair it, but that would be added to the price of the truck. Had I been told about this KNOWN problem, I would not have wasted my time and money driving 3 hours. Extremely unprofessional and deceptive practices is the only thing I received from this dealership. EVERYONE who appreciates honesty and integrity would be wise to stay away. No reputable business would lie to someone in such a manner.

Overall, horrible customer service. My husband and I went in to look at an 09 Jeep Wrangler. Upon our arrival, Elizabeth (the sales person) met us outside as we were examining the vehicle. She was only interested in talking to my husband, even though we made it clear that we were looking for a vehicle for me. She asked us if we would like to take it for a test drive, and she insisted that my husband drive. What “girls can’t drive a manual” is the only thing that ran through my head at that point. After we got back to the shop, Elizabeth made a comment that the Jeep has never been in an accident however, the bumper was scraped and broke, so obviously that was a lie. We went inside to look at the Carfax and once they found out we did not have our trade in with us and planned on coming back within a few days to make a deal, they hurried us out the door. Upon our return, they went to pull the Jeep up to the door and they ran it out of gas. Elizabeth then had us drive the Jeep to the nearest gas station, where she barely put enough gas in the vehicle to get us home if we were to buy it. This is only half of the story. Needless to say, we did not make a deal nor would I ever recommend this used car dealership to anyone.

I bought a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 3 days ago. One of the best experiences I have had buying a vehicle. Financed with no problem. I saw it on internet site on Friday, went and looked at it on Sunday, test drove it on Tuesday financed it and drove it home same day.It is dealers option if they want to take credit card. No business is required to take credit cards, especially large purchases. Not a better business bureau issue.Chris was excellent to deal with as was my sales person and everyone I met while there.Definently will be on my list of places to buy from in future.
When I bought my van I went with a friend from Newport News. I called Ms Elizabeth and she was sweet but two weeks later I called because they told me the brakes just got done and everything. One week my engine light pop on then my brakes start messing up. I called Ms. Elizabeth and the Manger was rude and nasty. Your Car Your Problem is what they said. Now a month has pass and I still havent got my TAGS OR TITLE. AND THEY DONT CARE. TOLD ME THEY SENT THEM TO MY ADDRESS BUT I WENT TO THE POST OFFICE. IT WAS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT ADDRESS. SMH SHOULD I CALL WAVY TEN??? 5/29 Electric problems and more lights lit up.

Do they do in house financing ?... found out the other day that theyre a joke. I asked about it and they asked me what my income was so I printed off 3 recent pay checks before coming. They looked at one of them... NOT all 3 to see what I make a month. And said you need to have more income.

If you looking to buy a car please dont go to Midway auto. We brought a car from them and a week later it ran hot and put us beside the road. We hadnt made a car payment yet! We had to get a tow truck to come get us and we had to spend 270 for a radiator. Really I called and see if I could get reimbursed they said no! I will never go there again. We also had a carfax done and found out the car had more issues that we did not know about!!! I will never go to Midway again..they are a total RIP off. Please check them out before you purchase a car from them!

Used 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited LT SedanSee Blue Book® Value$8,000 - dont trust this place. Went to go check out this vehicle, and was approached by Elizabeth meads. She went to show me the car and it didnt start. She said let me go get the portable battery charger. She came back and jumped the car and she said because it was cold last night, that is why it didnt start. How are they going to sell a car, ehen you need to jump start on the get go, and then telling me it didnt start up because it was cold. This is a very dishonest business, would never recommend it to my worst enemy.

What an absolute waste of my time!!! I spoke to Elizabeth as soon as they opened for business this morning to let her know that I was a serious buyer and already had preapproval for well over the value of the truck I was interested in and that I would be coming from over an hour away. She said that the truck was still available and that she would have it sitting up front waiting for me when I arrived. Sure enough I get to the dealer and there it is out front, I take a quick look at it and head inside ready to make a deal. Im greeted with an awkward smile which makes me curious and then Im informed that someone showed up about 10 mins prior to my arrival and that the TRUCK IS ALREADY SOLD and there was nothing that could be done since I did not have any money down to hold it (which I would have gladly made a deposit had I known up front.) I will absolutely never do business with this dealer and Im more than disappointed with my experience. I guess somebodys word doesnt mean anything these days.... Lesson learned.

We were at midway auto today and I must say I have had the worst experience I have ever experienced ! We sent in our paperwork 3dats prior to our visit, were told to come in everything was ok - when we arrived (1 hour dive from our home-they knew this) we were told we needed tax returns as we are business owners . We then decided to pay for the 15000 truck up front with our capital one card . The sales rep consulted with the GM Chris cline he said we would have to pay a 3 % fee on top . We want to lunch took an hour to mull it over . When we returned they said they would need to call credit company to verify funds . They did, card company verified funds . Then Chris told our sales lady that we could not charge that much .... Yep after jumping through every hoop and wasting 4 hours we now were told that they have never charged that much before... Even though capital one was called and fine with it (capital one was also very confused as to why this was not accepted and is also investigating the dealer now as well)We asked to speak to the GM (Chris) he of course disappears we wait... He finally comes back inside we asked what the problem was and he said I have never put that much on a card for a car -no one does that! We explained we had done everything asked and we did not understand why capital one was not a large enough credit company and that capital one themselves were just on the phone with his sales rep and was confused why this dealer would refuse their card . He then said I dont care if they dont like it or if the cut us off I will find another lender!Seriously I have never been told I can not use a Visa card just because ... He said people put 3000 or so but never that much We asked to speak to the owner he said no . We asked who the owners were he said all we needed to know was that he was the general manager . Seriously o have never had someone refuse my money and treat me this wayI would like to warn everyone to be wary of this general manager -Chris -as long as he is in charge he calls the shots, right wrong or downright discriminatory . Even his sales rep (who was lovely ) was completely confused by the leading on this manager dos only to suddenly say no .We will be sure to post as many reviews to warn people if this .Capital one has also been notifiedBetter business bureau has this complaint as well .We feel we have been discrimated against. I am not one to jump and file a complaint but when a business refuses your money I feel I have to make sure I let as many avenues know of this gentlemen and how poorly he treated us simply because he said people just dont put that much on their cardShameful and discrimination at its worst!
I wouldn’t buy anything from this place. This place sold my family member a lemon and did not honor the warranty that was purchased. I wouldn’t purchase anything from this company
