First time I went, warehouse is big a lot of product, me and my wife love the set up on the second floor, first floor has a good set up too, the way we have to walk to go to the check out for me is weird because is all the way in the back of the first floor, self service to find the furniture is good, the only thing Im not a fan is when people go to the check out is very unorganized there is no body telling people where to go and to do lines but at the same time I know people dont understand how to be organized it was a total waste of time and frustrating wait to pay and get out of there.
The place is huge and one of my favorites for household shopping. We got more stuff than intended. Recommended place if you are setting up your place. We liked the light weight plates and bowls from here. We also got our shopping trolley from here which is of great value
I went for the click and pick up service. On email you are instructed to enter the parking lot number you are in for someone to come out and deliver your items. I tried to do that but there was no parking lot number so I couldnt get that service.Decided to go inside instead to pickup, the employees were busy but accommodating and doing their best to get everything out. Just wish the delivery to the car service worked.
Got there at 10AM opening. Store was busy, but not over crowded and everyone was masked appropriately. Many items were out of stock, especially couches. Checkout was easy and what was super helpful was the gentleman who helped us load large items. Wish I had had more cash to tip him. Really appreciated the help with the bully mattress we had.
They have read decorated this place beautifully. I am looking for a couch and they have 3 I can choose from that I like. I dont see much staff around but I think thats a problem everywhere.
I have a love-hate relationship with this IKEA. everything is set up nicely and maintained well for display and shopping, but its often a struggle to get certain items as the stock does not fit the demand, but the prices are good when you do find the items you are out for. everything is also organized well in terms of getting through speedily and checking out speedily but wish that there were more strict social-distancing guidelines at play. i feel unsafe as the areas get so congregated.
Constantly out of stock of every single product. Definitely a bad supply chain/logistic in this location. They sell you boxes but dont have lids, etc ... order online its easier
Value for money..best is the herb tea..dont moss it
First off you gotta walk around this maze to find the dressers. Then take a picture of the items. Go downstairs find the item. Sign in to the website to get access to the aisle that has your item. Get the item.. which wasnt even in the location stated on the ticket. And scan and pay for you item by yourself. Tooooo much. Just order online.
Huge Selection. Not always the greatest quality. Swedish names for everything gets stressful. Seems to always be someone blocking your path to proceed. Without a doubt long lines at checkout always. Ample parking. Decent food if it is to your liking.
I love that I can walk thru and have a feel of how the room would look like. What I didnt like was that once I decided on an item and it says its in stocks, you go to the area to pick up the item and 1 or more of the boxes needed is missing. I was looking for a chest of drawers, we found boxes 1 and 2 but the third one was missing. I was disappointed.
I placed an order in IKEA on October 31 and the delivery date was expected on November 03. Instead of delivery I got an email on November 03 saying that your order got canceled as you requested. I never requested to cancel my order. When I called the customer service they said that they ran out of that item and they dont have it in stock and that is why the order got cancelled by IKEA. Now I have to wait 14 days to get my refund. Very bad IKEA.
Clean, imaginative, great prices, layout and choices! Its always a fun adventure a friendly atmosphere for familys. Shop, then even stop to have a delicious lunch!
Clean and relatively well stocked. My only complaint was there was some bottlenecking when physically going through the store as a fair amount of people were there even at 10 am. Some customers were not wearing masks, which wasnt ideal since -- of course, like all other places -- IKEA wasnt checking if people are vaccinated. As someone who was with someone who has preexisting health conditions, this always makes me nervous.Overall, a decent experience. And workers there were extremely nice and helpful.
Absolutely love shopping at IKEA. Huge multi storied building with variety of furniture collection and cafeteria where you can get coffee, some unique beverages like guava cider, Main course likeVeggie balls, Swedish meatballs, Caesar salad etc.. Overall food is very cheap. Store has a Good layout. Decent prices. And the staff is very helpful They are thoroughly following the COVID protocols and ensuring fewer people are in an area at any given point.
Fresh, invigorating and clever design elements awaited me at my recent visit to IKEA, of which I bought several items from the Bed and Bath Department, Dining, and Wall Decor... And, of course, the end is never really the end... because after shopping for what you love and need, theres all the glorious Scandinavian food to stock up on! Loved my visit to IKEA! All the IKEA staff were friendly and very helpful, the store and bathroom were clean and well stocked, and the checkout process was fast and efficient. Cant wait for dinner tonight! Swedish Meatballs with gravy and mashed Potatoes!
OK place. Have seen better maintained ikeas than here. Usually too crowded. Check on the app before you visit to make sure your item is in stock
The older I get, the longer the great walk of the upper floor seems. IKEA Elizabeth is being renovated, which makes for a different experience. The highlight for me is a unique and affordable meal as I watch planes come and go at one of the worlds busiest airports just across the street.
The best times to go is during the week day evenings. I stopped by here around 7pm to pick up some kitchen items, I knew I just wanted to go through the marketplace to get what I needed and get out.I was at the check out register within 15 min and I only saw about 10 other people shopping .Altogether, I was out the door within 20 minutes start to finish
Love this ikea. It’s kinda far from NY but the store is quite organized. And they are opened on Sunday’s!!
Its pretty nice in there. got another Alex 9 drawer for my room, trying to organize my room better.
The whole idea of come work for us and save money is fun, but not my deal. I dont want to find and assemble furniture as a purchase turned lifestyle! Not for me.
Super disorganized at the furniture pick up. Nobody seems to be fetching the furniture people have paid for inside the store but rather serving people who’ve ordered online/home delivery. Been waiting 45 minutes so far for a 5 lbs. towel stand and the employees are not at all helpful. It cold and windy outside, and you’re not allowed inside before you receive the text you’ve signed up for. Ridiculous!
Extremely confusing to find where I needed to be as it was my first time here and walking in I didn’t see any signs for what I needed. After walking around for about 40 minutes we found what we needed. Thankfully the website has exactly what isle to find my item in so it was easy once I got to where I needed to be
My girlfriend and I went to return some merchandise that was opened without packaging as new. I was not expecting to get all of the money back, but I do expect a large corporation of this size to take responsibility for merchandise that they sell and divert merchandise from going into the trash. We are moving and will be buying new furniture when get into our new home. We will NOT purchase any merchandise from IKEA in fact all of the merchandise is donated or thrown out!
I haven t been there in over 30 years and I was amazed. Parking assess ability cleanliness displays lunch wow. I would not hesitate to go again and enjoy the day.
Never going to IKEA. Highly disorganized, minimal customer services, chaos all over the place. We had a terrible experience specially at the exchange and return section. The time we had to wait there was too much. IKEA did not deliver all the parts and charged us $50 for online delivery. We had to visit this IKEA center to get the parts and after all the hussle, we managed to find a part. Inventory is low. IKEA you lost a potential customer.
Ikea is a full disappointment for me. There are a lot of stuff that are out of stock. You have to make an appointment for kitchen planning. And looks like Elizabeth doesnt provide that service at all. So, we went to Queens. We are waiting for 3 cabinets for a month! Delivery was rescheduled without any calls. We found out it ourselves in the eve of the delivery day. Then two items were missed. And new system of picking up purchased items, while youre shopping in the store, is insane. We were waiting for an hour for a bath mirror after we paid for it at the cashwrap.
Clean with good stock and plenty of parking, lines tend to move quickly at this location.
I made my twice yearly visit to Elizabeth IKEA today. Midweek late morning is the best time to go, very few people shopping there today. My husband doesnt come because he doesnt like the rat in a maze concept, but I love to take my time and follow every arrow! Staff was very helpful when I asked for a specific item. Lots of creative storage items. Love IKEA. Even had the mac and cheese for lunch. Yum
A pleasant experience. However beware some items that may show are in stock on line, are not.
Clean with good stock and plenty of parking. I love Ikea.
I never thought of Ikea as a place you can eat! My first visit was great. I was so amazed by literally almost everything and it really isnt built like a maze like everyone says. It was very one directional. We did not get lost at. All the prices were very reasonable to LOW. The designs were beautiful and mesmerizing! Especially the light bulbs.Overall I gave a perfect 5 stars because for my first visit, it was a great experience, I was full of great tasting food throughout the walk and, honestly, if I had a lot of money, I would have bought half the store.Social distancing for the dining area was very closely monitored and managed. So you will definitely feel safe dining there.
Its been decades since I last went to IKEA. First time for Bob. Neither of us were very impressed. They need better signs to direct you around that maze. Im good for another few decades....lol
Employees dont get enough love as they are the backbone to a functioning business. A shoutout to Lisa Hobday, Lisa Bradley and Chef Dennis for their extraordinary display of professionalism, punctuality and hospitable demeanor. Working with the staff here was nothing short of great! A great company with great staff - highly recommend!- Conrads Concessions Events
Even if we dont buy anything, we love going there as a destination outing. The winding path through all the departments exposes us to lots of design ideas. So clever. And then the inexpensive lunches, to cap it off. Love it every time.
No self driving handicapped carts. Only regular wheel chairs available
Good furniture and household items at a fair price but shopping here may be a circle of hell akin to Dantes inferno.
Awsome furniture!! Everything for a home or office, plus easy and fun to put together. More so than other brands and stores, highly recommended!!!
I have been hyped up about this spot for years. Finally went last Sunday. Thats all this spot is: a large hype. Got there, the products are so cheap, the only cool spot was the open shopping at the end because it was loaded with plants. And the dollar sticy buns. I cant see myself ever going back.
They had the bookcase I needed for my sons bedroom and more. I love going here, even though there generally isnt sales floor people to help. I love how every item they sell is arranged in a flow through type of maze where you find all goods in sections for kitchen, bathroom and other home decorating. Unfortunately they didnt have a selection of live plants to choose from. 😕 Hopefully next time I go there will be more.
I enjoy shopping at Ikea, but if you could improve the portion of the food serviced. i would like a bang for my buck
Very quick and convenient pick up. Always nice to visit the furniture displays :)
I went to Ikea for the first time, cause i usually do my shopping of any kind of furniture online but i wanted to get the kids bed so this time i did not want to take any chances. I went there and i loved the displays definitely will go over the weekend to purchase the bed frame.
The people are so helpful. We needed 2 extra shelves for our Billy bookcase and they went above and beyond to get them when they were out of stock
Unexplainably it has not been too exciting anymore. Many almost empty shelves. Prices in garden section too high. No big sales. Meatballs remain an attraction.
Great furniture store. BUT! Exactly in IKEA Elizabeth it is almost impossible to buy kids furniture, nothing is available in store. And even if it said it is available - you will not be able to find it in any aisle in the warehouse. Some items also not on the right place in the warehouse.
Spacing, lots of things to shop, the restaurant is awesome. Lack of short cut sign to help custom go to the desire location right away.
Plenty of employees that are helpful and friendly. The food court has absolutely one of the best views of Newark Airport (great place for people like me who likes planes but also for kids too?). And the store itself is just absolutely fantastic.
Very busy location but always very organized. Staff was helpful (for the most part) and the cafe was enjoyable even though this was busy as well.
Its like being in a well organized maze of twists & turns with one area better than the next . reasonable price & helpful staff.
THE FOOD WAS SPECTACULAR AND THE PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN.I love love love did I say I LOVE IKEA.My first time with my twinsister it was great we walked around for hours. The quality of everthing was great and the prices were very very reasonable.I so loved the display of the entire studio apt so beautiful. We are both moving we found beautiful furniture and kitchen ware for our new apartments.IKEA I will be back I promise. What a great experience.
I was shocked at the condition of this store. Dont be fooled by its proximity to NY as anyother store in the tri-state area that just means the store is overcrowded, picked over and poorly stocked. I mean there was absolutely nothing here...a waste of time.
IKEA Megastore!! They have so much here, its easy to get lost shopping here for hours! Amazing, competitive prices.
Store has pretty much everything you need, cant complain about much at all. Other than the maze you have to walk through. Feel like there should be a more direct way to just get in get what you came there for and leave. Lines arent too bad either.
Its one of the most pleasant places to shop. Even if you wind up not buying anything except lunch from their dining area.
Hate having to walk through the entire store to exit
So much stuff and easy on the wallet! Its always fun coming here. My little one and I always find something new. We love the fresh food too.
Ikea usually have all the things I be looking for. Plus, the price and manageable
Its like a huge shopping escape room, they have so much to offer its amazing. Staff is very helpful and courtesy, I traveled 50 miles to this store and it was worth it.
I always seem to find what I need and then some! Long lines can get stressful but ultimately I always leave satisfied. Ill always come back to ikea!
Took the family for the wifes first time in an Ikea. It was like going to the amusement park so much to do and see. Great store, great prices
Beautiful and organized, they show you how to decorate your house, with several rooms, types of houses and apartments, this is great. You can get everything for your home. the restaurant overlooks the Newark Airport. This store is beautiful.
During Covid-19, the line was extremely long for returns. One way to avoid waiting is to check in online. The line to buy items moved pretty quickly and they were nice enough to let people borrow umbrellas while they were waiting outside. The food court was moving pretty slow.
Ikeas best store, this one, located in Elizabeth, super large parking lot, well educated and always attentive staff. My grade for this store is ten.
This is one of the most unorganized and messy Ikeas I’ve ever been to. The self serve furniture section almost never has what I want in stock. Employees are aloof and rude. It’s impossible to find the price of most items in the marketplace section as the shelves are poorly stocked and mislabeled. Always a pretty disappointing experience to not be able to get the one thing I came there for.
First time to come here. Good selection. The cafeteria could be better. They only have one cafeteria and it has very few kinds of dish. Its nice that they have a kids room where parents can just leave their kids while shopping.
Was clean and easy. Had a closet ordered online and picked it up. The only challenge ordering online is the slots are limited and painful to plan. Other wise service and ability to pick and drive was easy
A good Ikea location, but a good piece of advice, if you know your way around computers and you want to buy wardrobes/dressers or kitchen make your plan before going there. The. You can just finalize colors etc and you will save a ton of time. Morning are also a lot less crowded!
Although shes the well-worn warrior amongst the IKEAs in the tristate area, I find their staff to be for more efficient that their Jersey counterpart in Paramus. They have more of a can-do attitude while Paramus feels like the DMV in IKEA colors.
Ikea is one of my favorite store and they have so many things and good prices and today i tried their swedish almond cake which was 10/10 i ended up buying one to take home
Great place to shop furniture. They have a lot in stock for items you need.
Got a nice bookshelf from here. Satisfied with the purchase.
Beautiful and interesting products, to mention a few electrical fittings, furniture, home decor as well as cooking utensils and seasonal products and other stuff found here and are moderately priced. Being a member of the IKEA family reward program adds more to the fun. Besides the the discount and the perks you get free cup of coffee or tea on each visit. And discount on the food from the snack shop.
The furniture is modern somewhat on the small side but I dont like the layout of the store, it feels like a maze, not for me.
Nice place for home improvement things
As always perfect service, product, and price. Amazons only real competitor! Here you can have a simple, excellent family dinner and watch the Newark air traffic coming and going.
Great store but Always Very busy. You can find almost everything for your home.
