The pharmacy is no longer open 24 hours they are unable to inform customers of the hours due to staffing. Customer service is not good and they dont seem to care Clearly the situation is only getting worse, my family and I will be filling our last month of medications.
DO NOT schedule a COVID test here. I made an appointment and was directed to park until I was called. I left after 2 hours of waiting. I was unable to reach anyone via telephone and there were people lined around the building. They said to wait in my car until someone calls me, but three hours later I still have not received a call.
I get staffing issues are terrible around the country right now and they always claim staffing issues, but it doesnt matter how many people they have crammed back there, its always mayhem and a crazy wait. Have only used this place three times and my fiance is currently there being told his wait on his prescription will be an hour or two. Wish it wasnt the only place in Elizabethton that has our medication in stock as we are both on the same one. Chaos. Lined up to the other side of the store.
I love this place! Love getting our photos sent in from online they always meet our expectations plus Great service. Pharmacist was really helpful when my husband went in to find allergy medicine for our little girl. Suggested a nose suction and it has helped so much !! 5 Stars !!
I got my covid vaccine today, and as someone who is deathly afraid of needles I just wanted to thank the worker Antoinette for giving me the easiest shot of my life! She took extra time to make sure I was comfortable and distracted before sneaking in my shot. Couldnt have asked for a better experience!

No Rude great place to get your scripts
When professionalism counts the most this Pharmacy does not know the definition of that. I witnessed an associate raise her voice to an elderly person and not one bit of compassion and whatever happened to being nice to customers and thanking them for their business. We can do better that that just dont spend your money there.
This location needs help! The pharmacy needs management and training for all staff. The staff members do not know their jobs. They often have to explain how to use their own computers to each other. Elizabethton Walgreens is the slowest pharmacy. They will also change your medicine if they are out of stock for a similar medicine. Oh no! Go to Erwin walgreens, they know how to get the prescription to the correct patient and within minutes!
Has anyone ever had different prices on their Prescriptions it seems they never charged me the same priced twice its always $15 or $20 more or less Every time I go I would like to know where my money goes.
Always great customer service and you can get not only meds but you can get food, Cosmetics, phones/phone card and even more. Anytime you need help they will help you.
Dont go here if you dont want to jump through hoops for your medicine.
This Walgreens is terrible. They never have your prescription when they are supposed to. My doctors office called my prescription in at 2:15 yesterday to this Walgreens. Went to pick it up last night and was told they never received it. Called doctors office again this morning and they verified they had called it in to this Walgreens at 2:15. Spoke with pharmacy tech this morning who happened to be the same one that told me they never received the prescription and today she says it was called in to wrong pharmacy. I could understand this happens on occasion but when this happens multiple times on different occasions with different prescriptions I think there must be a breakdown somewhere in the pharmacy. My prescription is Lyrica and missing a dose makes me very sick. I switched to Walgreens due to the convenience of the hours. Lately there has been nothing convenient about my experiences. Not to mention the rudeness of the technicians.
Always a horrible experience and the most stressful part of me having to get medication each month. Each month, I call to make sure the correct discount card is on there, I’m told oh yes it is, get down there and for way too many times to count have been overcharged by at least 50$ because they refuse to fix it. They are all rude, and if dreading a pharmacy visit every month doesn’t tell you something about this place, I have plenty of instances where I was humiliated in line as they announced my medication list to all that were in line. Horrible place and wish it would shut down.
I have always shopped Wal Greens. Its one of my favorite places to go. And definitely, Thank you for being open all night. Had to get meds@2am. It is a very clean, and organized store. Staff was helpful, friendly and efficient.

This Walgreens is terrible! The wait times are atrocious! There is one technician that wears glasses that looks like she hates life and her job. She is the rudest one there. Her customer service skills need a definite improvement. She also needs a personality transplant too. Ill be using a different pharmacy going forward.
This store has went so far down hill their pharmacy staff is rude.. And if you have a scripted sent over that needs mixed good luck, they tell you to either wait an additional 15-20 minutes on top of the 20-25 mon u wait in drive through or line inside.. They constantly screw up insurance and then make it like its ur fault... Loose scripts or you get a text saying ur script is ready only for them to say its not and the text was a mistake.. Driving 20 mins both ways several times a day is ridiculous for mistake text is costly...
I give 3 Stars,and that is for one gentleman that works there at night named Steve.Very helpful,went out of his way to try to help me have my medicine.For that i am thankful...So the 3 stars are a 5 for him.Outside of that.Ive made countless trips to the drive thru to get my meds,and they always tell me to come back in 15,come back in 20.Seems that they are either disorganized,or lacking employees to get the job done more timely,and efficiently.
When Walgreens bought Rite Aide, here in Elizabethton, Tennessee, I was devasted,For the years since the buy out of Rite Aide I have had amazing assistance with the entire Pharmacy Staff and if I have a question about my medication they always help. Even when I call about OTC meds, they explain it to me and even do cost comparisons.I understand it takes time to fill a prescription.if the public understood all the steps the pharmacy has to do, they would quit whinning and complaining. A pharmacist cant wiggle their nose like the genie or blink their eyes. They have to find a bottle containing the meds, count each pill, have another pharmacist or aide re-ckubg then print your name with directions, put the pills in a bottleband then txt YOUR ORDER is ready.
Worst Walgreens Ever. I had two children with very serious illnesses and they couldnt bother to get me the script in a timely manner. I have had to go back several times in one day before. They even sent a text saying it was ready, we showed up and it wasnt. Several times going there they also said they never received the order I call the hospital and they said they sent it. I know that Walgreens was the one lying because it happened with 2 different hospitals and one literally ordered it right in front of me. They have no clue what they are doing there. I switched to CVS finally
I had just gotten out of the hospital and had them send my script to Walgreens. When I got there the script was ready but I was floored by the $66 price tag. Come to find out they didnt have my insurance on file. They fixed it in no time at all. The man at the drivethru was great today. Thank you drivethru pharmacy guy!
I have had mostly good experiences with Walgreens pharmacies in general across the nation. I’ve also had a few not so good experiences. But every company has off days. Except this location. They have more issues than anywhere! They more often than not miscount and short medications, unless it’s under 10 tablets. More often than not, a 30 minute wait time turns into a day or two if they have it at all. If they have to “order it” (which is strange because I have gotten the same medication every month for over a year) it takes at least one week, if not longer to get it in. They need to get rid of the entire pharmacy staff, and start over with people who have common sense, a basic education, and can at least count. My toddler has more intelligence than these “pharmacists.”

The pharmacy stays busy so dont expect special treatment like a hometown pharmacy might give, but Walgreens has great hours and the Store is well maintained, clean, run by solid employees. Retail prices are high but Walgreens brand medicine or product is very effective at a decent price. I would buy store brand here, avoid paying premiums for name brand. Walgreens is as strict as they come for prescriptions, dont expect them to fill early for vacation, especially not day shift! Perharps wait till 11pm and try the night shift pharmacist when they arent super busy. I know things should be flexible with healthcare but sometimes stay too rigid. Best of luck!
Im so over this place. I know you hear people complaining about places but I would recommend going to a competitor. I had dropped off my script that morning to get filled to find out that evening that they did not fill it. Did not call me at all to let me know. The lady at the window said the script looked sketchy and thats why they did not fill it. Said I would have to get in touch with where I had received the script. Told the office I was at that they would not fill script. The person called walgreens and talked with a person in the pharmacy as I listened. And the person said oh we would never say a script is sketchy and literally told us that they would have it ready in 10 minutes for me to pick up. Showed up an hour later to walgreens to find out they still dont have my script ready and had to wait 15 more minutes. Im so tired of places that cant do there damn job. This will be the last time walgreens gets my business.
The absolute slowest Walgreens around. They also try to play doctor with your prescriptions. They won’t fill early, even if your going out of town for vacation.
Expect to wait a while on prescriptions, but great place to buy cheap vitamins and organic drinks.
This is by far the worst Walgreens in the area!! The staff is ALWAYS rude ( if you dont like your job find another one dont take it out on us).. The wait is very long and they even forget that your sitting right there in the waiting area.. I get a 30 day supply of my medication every month I go to my doctor every 28 days always on a Tuesday and pick up my scripts on Friday hence the 30 day supply...well they have screwed me many times this time I drop my script off on Tuesday like always and instead of being able to pick them up Friday I have to wait till Sunday ( Today...why??) so I call and they havent even started on filling my script.. I have been out of my meds since Friday and they have had my script since Tuesday so why isnt it ready??? Lazy.. Rude people thats why that dont want to do their job!!
Wish I could give this place a -10. Its absolutely ridiculous when you have a drug allergy, not only noted in their system, but also backed up and documented on your prescription by your regular doctor, but the first-shift pharmacist thinks shes a MD, And knows more than your real dr. and no other place in town has a problem filing my prescription. Im no pharmacist, but I am a CPhT, and using your best judgment probably entails filling my prescription as written, not refusing it, and trying to make me take the medication that I clearly have adverse reactions to.
Worst customer service. Slow. When calling in to speak with someone, Im on hold for at least 10 minutes each time. Why at 1am am I waiting for someone to answer the phone? Its elizabethton. Cant be that busy. I called Johnson city Walgreens within 45 seconds, I was talking to someone that was very helpful. I will no longer do any business with this walgreens.
I have used Walgreens all my life and never had one issue with them until today. They shorted me on my medication & when i called them back and reported it they tell me im a lier and piss off. Will NO LONGER USE WALGREENS IN ELIZABETHTON EVER AGAIN!! i will make sure my friends dont either
Very few people to help you, and the pharmacy crew is rude to say the least. They treat people like your impeding on their personal time, annoyed that you bothered them. After the last time this happened to me I took mg business elsewhere.
Never have RX ready even when called in 24 hours in advance. The wait times are horrible. sometimes the staff is friendly but most of the time they act like I am an inconvenience to them. The Piney Flats store is AWSOME!! just hate driving out there now that I dont pass it on the way home. Elizabethton needs to take lessons from them!

Im done with this pharmacy. It literally takes no less than 15 minutes every time I go through the drive thru... Half the time they dont have prescriptions ready on time or have them in stock. Getting our last prescriptions tonight and moving to another.
