I live in Louisville but love coming down to Elizabethtown for the exceptional team and hospitality provided by Swope Hyundai. I recently purchased the 2021 Hyundai Venue-Denim Edition. My car buying experience was not only wonderful but far exceeded my expectations. The entire team ensured a phenomenal car buying experience from the test drive to the financing and paperwork. The agent who facilitated my transaction and helped find the car I needed was Zac Caldwell. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Zac. He was attentive, easy to talk to, great at understanding my needs and all around just an incredibly likable personality. When I first arrived at the dealership I was greeted by name by several folks in the show room which took me by surprise given there were several other folks on the property looking at cars. Zac had already staged a few vehicles in front of the building that he felt matched my needs. He was great in helping me narrow down my choices and selecting the car for me. Once I decided on the Venue there was no hassle with price or credit. The purchase price was way better than I could’ve expected as well-there was no haggling and at no point did I feel pressured into making a decision I wasn’t totally comfortable with. Before leaving Zac also assisted in getting all of the amazing technology set up in the car along with my BlueLink app. A few days later I was having issues with my app due to--honestly user failure. I am not used to a smart car. The sales team were great when we bough the Tucson in 2017 but the service center is terrible. First issue was an issue with a error alert notifying us of an issue with a taillight. Multiple trips in and the dismissed my wife telling her that there was no issue until finally she made them take the the cover off and found that the taillight fixture was melted, so that was replaced finally. We got a notification of a recall in January 2021 and were told to make an appointment but the we were told that our name was added to a list, months and no call. We have called dozens of times for the calls to be ignored, routed to service where they go unanswered. A call from the corporate rep to the service department was unanswered. We are in the process of making an appointment at another dealership. You can purchase a vehicle here but under NO circumstances should you have a vehicle serviced here.UPDATE: After being contacted by the GM I can say we received great service with regards to the recall. We got an appointment that worked with our time and the people in the service department were very attentive and the recall was performed very promptly.

The team here at Swope Hyundai are amazing! But I want to give special shout out to my girl Lexi! I visited the Hyundai dealership just for a minor fix on my vehicle. And right before leaving Lexi showed me my new baby. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra; which of course has twice as many bells and whistles as my 2013; and I instantly fell in love. Swope Hyundai gave us a stellar car buying experience. My family bought a Chevrolet Tahoe here and they fixed our brakes and the DVD player free of charge. I would give it a 5 when I bought my car but dealing with the service department is ridiculous. I have been misinformed once which resulted in a major inconvenience which ended up taking two trips. Because of that mess up, I had to make an earlier than usual appointment to get my car serviced. Now Im waiting here at my 2pm appointment to be told there is an hour and a half wait. And, not to mention the service guy was not the friendliest. I dont feel like they value the time of their customers.

I was very disappointed with Swope Hyundai this morning. I have bought several vehicles from this store in the past. I had a recall on my Santa fe so I took it in. My wife and I waited almost Three hours and service manager told me I needed to replace a belt and filter, which he said would cost about $84.00. However, when I went to pay he said he forgot to add labor. I ended up owing over $250.00. Very deceptive business.Update: swope reached out offering an apology and a partial refund. Thank you Swope.

I went in w/o an appt. (I called first) because a brake light was out. The MPI they did said I also needed a battery, which was ridiculously expensive. I shouldve shopped around to save money, but with the time & inconvenience of that, plus the battery being replaced was the one that came in the car 9 years ago, I agreed to it. The service guy was very good about updating me on everything and *trying* to explain why the battery was so expensive. I was however surprised to find all my radio pre-sets were messed up when I got back in my car. Maybe because the battery was out while they changed it? IDK, but that was annoying. The service guys at Swope are always professional and courteous, so that is a big plus of going there.

Too much upselling of service.Charges for simple replacement of wiper blade out of line with the time required.

The sales manager was good Ray. I cant really say what I think of the guy in the service department they call him Jr. How ever there is a major problem somewhere.On one hand they are saying how important safety issues are. I so agree with that. They are fixing several safety issues on the Tucson I bought a couple of months ago.But the major saftyhow ever sale this SUV with the back up camera and the beeper as a hugh safety system. Everyone I know thinks that. But there safety system failed and I backed into a dumpster and what did they say not are fault we are not going to fix it. I just dont understand. They were fix the safety issues but they wont fix what happened because one of them didnt work. I have only had the Vehicle a couple of months. Also isnt like I havent bought several cars from them before. 6 To be exact.

Id like to say come again. I pulled to a Cherry Picker and asked him about a certain vehicle and he didnt seem interested. It took a whole 5 mins 4 him 2 pull out his criteria. He then told me to go to Nissan to get a better deal. N he was smoking a cigarette. He did not seem interested nor looked like he worked 4 the company but had a jacket on w the logo.

I got a call about my sonata having recalls on it from the stores receptionist she told me what all my recalls were and explained what all the service department had to do and she let me pick my day and my time she didnt choose one for me.well next day I walked in for my appointment and see about 6 people standing around waiting to talk with the service advisor. I instantly got aggravated. But the receptionist greeted me and started talking to me and the other people. She was very friendly and put me in a better mood. Very bubbly personality! Junior is also one of the best. He is very professional and both him and the receptionist handled the overwhelming ordeal very well. They got my recalls done in less time than I expected and when I left there I felt a lot better. I definitely recommend coming here. I cant believe there are even as many bad reviews as there are!

My fiancé has been having issues with his 2015 Hyundai Sonata for the past 9 months. Each dealership said it was something else and then another thing. Customer service at the corporate level was TERRIBLE. NO ONE WANTED TO HELP US. No one wanted to give us a rental car and even though this was a recall and something we couldn’t control. This issue happened a total of four times. The first issue being with the first owner then we had dinner the issue the additional 3 times. One being out of state headed to St. Louis and the other two headed to my parents home. Finally the fourth time we listened to and taken care of. I never experienced such outstanding customer service from a dealership like this one. We had our car towed there and they instantly had a car ready for us to head back to Lexington in. The work was done within a week and we received a new motor for the car (which came to be the issue the whole time). They kept us up to date through the whole process and I just can’t thank them enough for taking care of us. Please take your cars to this dealership!

Jr. is the best service manager anyone could ever want to deal with and is the main reason i enjoy coming back to this dealership to have my car serviced here.

Service and communication was great.. they helped me at every step and kept me posted. My only reason for a 4* review is because the MPI report shared with me stated the total repair cost of $145 but I was charged almost $300. I was told that the quotation in the MPI was inaccurate which I felt that was deceiving.. so confirm the exact repair cost and dont trust the quotation form they send you.

I bought my car from David. Everyone was very nice and helpful. He wasn’t pushy at all and it was an over all good experience. Him and his boss stayed late to finish our sale and make sure everything was done right. Neither one of them seemed to be rushing though the process to get out of there. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because after the sale was done they told me about this survey and asked if I would mind to do it. They sent me the link once I left. Over the next several days they asked me to do this survey 3 more times which I feel like is a little much.

I went to get my oil changed and we went over all my needs and wants. I was treated very respected and kept in the loop on everything going on. They would come to the waiting room to update me through out the oil change and was overall I think there the best Ive been treated while having one of my new cars serviced. I had a trailer hitch installed on my 17SantaFe sport yesterday. All I can say is.5 stars us not enough.The parts dept worked with me to.price match another quote I had for the hitch and installation . The Service Dept was great. JR and the service dept kept me informed of progress of the installation. JR even found a recall for my Santa Fe that I was unaware of. Overall A+

Relatively nice people, never had any issues with the customer service. However if you buy a used vehicle that isnt what they normally sell dont expect exceptional service for it here, not their mechanics fault they just arent used to dealing with Mini Coopers.

I had never heard of this place but needed work on my Hyundai and did a google search for the dealership closest to me. At first I tried Louisville since I had a doctor appointment there, but that dealership was rude and not accommodating, so I decided to try Etown since it was closest to where I worked in Bardstown. The lady on the phone was nice and got me an appointment that worked with my schedule. When I arrived everyone was friendly and helpful and the waiting area was perfect for me to get my work done. In the time it took to get the coupling replaced on my steering and a few recalls fixed, I got all my grades for students updated. If I ever decide to buy another vehicle, I will shop here just because of how I was treated on this day.

I got a call from the receptionist (Carrie I think?) about my Santa Fe having a recall originally I was pretty upset but she explained to me what the recall was, what it was for, how long it would take asked me questions just to be sure I knew what was going on and set up an appointment that worked around my schedule. She was extremely nice and took her time and didnt rush me off the phone. She was the first to greet me when I walked in and we chit chatted while the service advisors were finishing up what they needed to do. It really made me feel alot better about the whole ordeal. The whole service team there is awesome. I highly recommend coming here!

I have to say that Chris McCon really puts his customers first. We went to every Swope lot, and honestly were about to head to Louisville until we met him. He was straight forward, no beating around the bush. He took the time with us that was needed to pick the best vehicle. During final steps he ensured everything flowed with ease and was very simple. Great place as far as an auto dealers go. The sales person (Tim) was great,. Got a good price on a new car. Dealership has a museum next door to go too while car is prepped. When it looked like it would take extra time for prep and dealer installed options they offered to deliver to my door 100 miles away for free so I wouldnt have to wait. Great place.
