Do NOT waste your money here. I bought a costume and specifically asked the employees at checkout what the return policy was being as there was no dressing rooms due to COVID. I was told I had until 10/22/20 to get a refund for my items if they did not fit. When I came in to return stockings that were unopened and a body suit they said they do not do refunds on body suits or hosiery. I would not have purchased those items had I known they were non returnable. In addition, it was THEIR employees who told me I could return the items by 10/22/20 for a refund if they didn’t fit. I am very upset with my experiences at this establishment and the lack of decent customer service. I will update this post if anything changes tomorrow when I try to contact the manager.UPDATE: The manager has no respect for his customers or the faults of his employees. Absolutely nothing was done about this situation, instead he accused me of lying and basically said I should’ve read the policies. Why would I read the policies when I specifically asked the employees who SHOULD be aware of the return policies? After spending $100 at this establishment I was offered NOTHING but a belittling, disrespectful attitude. Do not support businesses who lack kindness and customer service. Will never be returning.

I waited quite awhile for your store to open at this location, since the open date continued to get pushed back further and further. Finally after your store opened I took my 5 year old daughter to pick out her costume. Of course there are signs everywhere not to try the costumes on. So being as Covid is going on, I was NOT informed that I am supposed to check the costume before I leave the store. After paying $40 for a costume to get home and find it’s missing a piece to it. I was unaware that this item would not be ableYo be returned or exchanged, when it wasn’t my fault a piece was missing. So after visiting the store again to be told no the associate working was severely rude. He informed me that it was “my own problem I didn’t check the costume before I left the store and he can’t help me with my issue.” After all this I’m sad to say a store I loved will never get business from me again.
Is negative 5 stars an option!?! I bought a costume online for my 2 month old (0-6 months). It absolutely did not fit. It basically swallowed her. Instead of sending it back through the mail I thought I’d just go to the Elizabethtown location and exchange for a smaller size. They don’t have any 0-3 month sizes so I exchanged for a costume for my other daughter. I had my online receipt which I gave the cashier. He said a manager would have to process it. The manager did the exchange and I asked for my shipping receipt back to which he said he needed to keep it for the store records. I didn’t argue, just left the store. Come to find out my daughter doesn’t want to be a witch because she was one a couple years ago. I tried to return to the Louisville location. The manager could have returned it but she couldn’t get into the system for Elizabethtown to retrieve the receipt. No problem, I went to the Elizabethtown store and asked them to return it but the manager before never gave me my receipt back or an exchange receipt. So, another manager came up and basically refused to help. I said I knew that he could look it up because the Louisville store told me how it works when a receipt isn’t present. He said to go back to that store he wasn’t helping me, a manager would never not give a receipt, and he didn’t help me last weekend and he’s the only manager. He basically said I was lying about the receipt and who the manager was that helped me previously. That manager was nonexistent but there was a lady cashier who tried to speak up about who it was and help but the manager gave her a dirty look and told her to turn around and do her job. I just stopped arguing and left the store and sent my husband in. My husband is nicer than I in those situations. The manager told him that he was able to look up the information but he isn’t going to because I yelled at him and wasn’t nice to him. He told my husband he was calling the cops because I was mean and yelled. We waited outside for them and no one showed. I called the Elizabethtown Police and they said no one has contacted them. While on the phone with dispatch the manager got in his car and left. I’ll be calling their corporate number tomorrow and taking care of this. This store WILL NOT ever receive business from my family again. I’ll stick with getting my kids costumes from a regular department store even if it means paying more. I suggest everyone else do the same.

Store manager was rude, I walked in and said hello and she did not answer me... Bought two items and needed a third... Never offered any help. I said Thank you and she did not answered back...so I go across the street to find the third item at a different store... A very nice young man helped me and gave me a discount on my Full purchase... I go back to return the two items at Spirit and a very rude store manager tells me No.... My purchase was not even ten minutes before... Plus she is asking people how much they want to donate to Kosair, making people uncomfortable if they say no... Dont ask me how much Im donating, ask me If I want to donate!!! Over all terrible customer service!!! I will pass on my story and make sure my locals know not to go there! And yes I do know the return policy but a good manager will please the customer and has manners!!! Ten minutes people that’s how long I purchased items before trying to return!!
If I could leave zero stars I would! VERY RUDE manager and employees. They were not friendly or welcoming whatsoever. I will not be giving this spirit Halloween store my business. (The Elizabethtown, KY location)

Most everything was in a neat and orderly setup. Staff was always friendly, available, and very helpful.
