After having a very bad experience at Elizabethtown Hearing Aid Center, I was wary of getting much help here. However, the experience was very uplifting. Paul Wimp had a kind attitude, was motivated to help my Father with Alzheimers (which is difficult) and didnt try to sell us something else. The time he spent was so appreciated.Being that it was the height of the pandemic, I was appreciative that he took safety precautions and let us stay in the car while he went in and out to adjust aids as needed. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone who just wants to hear better and who doesnt want a sales pitch or biased seller. He seems to take pride in making customers satisfied.

Dr. Wimp is a really great doctor, knowledgeable and eccentric ( in a wonderful kinda way). He was able to diagnose my hearing really fast and my visit was free. If your nerves get you when you go to a Dr dont have any worries. The clerk who took my call was even nice. Excellent and friendly service

My now 96 year old mother has been Paul Wimps client for seven years. Prior to seeing him, another local hearing aid provider sold her hearing aids for both ears. She was not satisfied and returned them and in turn we went to Pauls establishment. He checked her hearing and told her that her no hearing aid would benefit her right ear. So, she only purchased one for her left ear. He is truly an honest man. If he had said otherwise, we would not have known the difference and would have purchased a useless hearing aid. He also recommended a special telephone for my mother which was acquired through a special program with KY. The phone converted what was said to print so she could communicate better when conversing by telephone. These are just two instances where Paul has been so very helpful. We continue to see Paul and would never think to go elsewhere.

This company and its personnel deserve the highest recognition possible. A family member had hearing aid problems while living outside of Kentucky. She had bought her the hearing aids from Mr. Paul Wimp at HBH almost five years before moving, but was unable to travel back to have them checked. She went to a hearing company in her new community and was told that her aids were mechanically failing. The company said that they had cleaned her aids and gotten them working again, but could not guarantee that they would work very long. Sure enough, one aid stopped working that night and she believed that a new pair was necessary. I contacted Paul by phone to confirm their opinion. He advised me to send the nonfunctioning aid to him to be checked. I overnighted it and the next day he called me. FIVE MINUTES OF CLEANING was all that it needed to become perfectly functional again. Mr. Wimp charged nothing but the postage to return the aid. He saved her over $4,000. Business integrity is priceless. I would recommend that anyone in the Elizabethtown area consult Mr. Wimp if they think that they have hearing issues.
