This is a very nice store. The workers are very knowledgeable about the types of shoes, neutral, support etc… and even have them separated on the shelves accordingly. You can try them and run on a treadmill to get the feel of them. I have bought a few pairs of running shoes from them and have had a great experience.

I was a 30 year runner that has not run/jogged in about 8 years. I needed some help getting back into the game! I’ve primarily dealt with Eddie, but Will and the entire team are amazingly knowledgable and helpful. Even if you have some challenges to overcome, they are willing to help! If you need any type of running gear, go check them out!

I was so excited to get my first pair of shoes from Running Soles because of their scanning machine & because they are local. I went in one afternoon when there was a lot going on - the police were directly outside with a person so I had to wait about 10 mins to get inside. Once inside, it was a little busy so it was about another 10 min before I was seen. I met with the owner, I think, and he brought out two shoes that fit my scan. Neither of them were great, but he assured me that if I didnt like the shoe I could return them within 30 days. He said I could even wear them outside and still return them. I asked if there were any other shoes I could try, but he said those were it. I purchased one pair of shoes and another item. I was looking forward to supporting a local business and had my eyes on a few other items to purchase later as I made small talk with the other owner (I think - he said it was his wife) as she checked me out.I tried the shoes for about two weeks and really tried to like them. They literally hurt my feet when I worked out. I only used them inside because it was clear these were not the shoes for me. When I went in to return them, the clerk began asking A LOT of questions. It felt combative at the time but I dont think that is how she meant it. I was on my lunch break and so I just didnt expect that it would take very long for the transaction. What I understood later was that she wanted to rescan and try to help me find a new pair that day. I also learned there is a $15 restocking fee that no one mentioned to me before. She said it was on the receipt, but they email you the receipt so I didnt review it carefully. By then it would have been too late anyway. I was displeased and explained that I didnt really have the time but may be able to come back in when they got more shoes in my size. She said there were plenty of shoes I could try in stock, and she just wanted to help me. While I appreciate her eagerness, it was a lot to be hit with so many questions back to back and then she just walked out. She didnt say someone else was going to have to come in to complete the return. It was just not a great experience as we both just didnt understand the other in the moment, though now I understand she was truly trying to figure out which shoes would be best for me with all the questions. It was also surprising to learn that there were so many other options for shoes that I was not given the opportunity to try on my first trip - when I had lots of time and was dressed appropriately in casual clothes.I know that this company tends to provide great service, but this was not my experience - from only being given two pairs of shoes to try to learning about the restocking fee later. I do appreciate the clerk today and just wish I had known what to expect as I would have allotted more time and would have been dressed for that purpose.When customers buy local, we are willing to pay the extra mark-up to support our neighbors and to build relationships. There was no acknowledgement that I wasnt told about the fee, just that I should have read my receipt. I took the shoes back in like new condition as a courtesy, not after I ran around the park with mud or stains on them as they said I could have done. I also think the first time I came in would have gone a lot better if Id simply been shown more than 2 options. I dont know why my experience was so different than others who have left glowing reviews, but I must say Im truly disappointed by this experience.

I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we walked in Eddie was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We ended up getting scanned and fitted before he offered us an assortment of shoes tailored to our individual wants & needs with suggestions & advice along the way. We had an extremely pleasant experience and will certainly be back.

Cool shop. You get the expert advice on shoes, and to date, only shop I been to that has a treadmill to run. Never seen any of those franchised store shoes with that.German road tested and approved. Thanks for recommendation on Hokas. Probably not endorsement Hoka looking for but I would not recommend any other shoe for any one over 200#.

Went on a recommendation. Im badly out of shape and needed a good pair of shoes due to plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. Was kind of nervous since Im not a runner. Eddie took care of me. He was so adorable and made me feel special. He took tons of time and found me the perfect shoe. The shoes were even cheaper than Amazon. I will be back. Loved every minute of it.

Took my son into this store to be fitted for and purchase a pair of Chaco’s. When we entered the store, there was a man standing in the entrance who did not acknowledge us, but did acknowledge the man who walked directly behind us. We stood in the middle of the store for multiple minutes waiting for a staff member to help us. More people entered the store and were immediately acknowledged by staff and treated as customers should be, however we were never even spoken to and left. To say I felt out of place and embarrassed is an understatement. I do not recommend visiting this store unless you fit into the typical runner stereotype. If I could give this store zero stars I totally would, which is shame because I had such high hopes for this store after reading others reviews.

Best running store I have ever been to. Great family and always willing to help you get what you need. They actually know their products and only sell ones they truly believe in. This is the place to go. If doctors are telling you not to run, the store owner is a certified Chi running instructor and coach and injury free running expert who can help you accomplish any goal you may have. Go down there and let them make your feet happy again. You wont be disappointed.

These folks are top notch! My husband and I found their store walking around down town Elizabethtown and what a hidden gem! Reasonable prices for the quality of the merchandise.

A friend of mine suggested that I go see them at Running Soles. So today I went to the store and soon as I walked in a representative approached me and started working with me and what I needed to make my feet feel better . They had me stand on a machine to measure my feet and measure the spot on my feet thar I use the most and has the most pressure. After they did they the gentlemen went to the back and got 3 different kinds of shoes for me to try on. I also explained I work as a cashier at Lowes so Im standing on concrete all day and come home barely walking because my feet hurt so badl . After the Running Soles my feet have never felt bette . I would highly recommend this store to everyone. Very friendly and very knowledgeable staf .

I had only heard wonderful things about this place, including from my wife who purchased some shoes from this place on a day that I was not with her, so I was really looking forward to this experience. I also wanted to support a local business. I had heard about how the staff would measure your feet, do a gait analysis, try to get you into a shoe that would be best for your circumstances, etc. That did not happen!!!About a week ago, on a Saturday, I was ready to spend $100+ dollars on shoes (which is almost foreign to me), but if they fit well and were well constructed, I was willing. The young man who waited on me could have cared less. He listened to my statements regarding my exercise regimen - took a shoe off the shelf and told me the shoe (New Balance) was probably OK for my purposes. I expressed that I had a good experience with some Asics shoes, to which he showed me what was already on the shelf (I could have done that myself, except I needed him to tell me the price, which I think is wrong - put the price on the shoes!) and told me that it would be about $40 more, but would generally be the same as the New Balance. What a sales pitch! There was no offer to measure my feet, to do a gait analysis, etc. As Im talking to him, I notice that he is gradually moving away and looking at someone at the other side of the store. Eventually, in mid-conversation, he excuses himself to help someone else - who happened to be a woman looking at compression wear! He didnt explain where he was going - he just left to attend to her. I stood there for a few minutes and left. Im amazed that I was willing to spend over $100 for shoes and then to be treated this way.I seriously doubt that I will go back - who needs it. There are running shoe stores in Louisville that Im sure are more helpful.

They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of shoes for Male and female and have shoes for kids. When I arrived they were not open yet but they let me come in anyway. I would recommend this store for anyone looking for quality products with a very helpful staff. They also carry GPS watches, hydration products and more.I purchased some Altra lone peak 4.0s. Excellent shoes.

I love this store. Everyone is very helpful and gives great advice. There is so much cool stuff in the store for all types of runners. I wish I could make it to more of the group runs. The community of runners they have built is awesome!

I have attended several Chi running workshops hosted by the owner of Running Soles and it has literally changed by life. I am absolutely delighted that a store will be opening soon in this area that will provide quality running products that are not readily available in this area. In addition to offering quality products at fair prices, Running Soles will also offer one-on-one advice and expertise for runners at all ages and stages from those looking for a new way to get healthy to the more advanced runner.

I have heard nothing but wonderful reviews of running soles, and had fantastic service from the owners son, but I will never return nor send any other female athletes their way because of the rude assumption made about my abilities by the owner.As I was heading out of town for a century ride I stopped in to purchase fuel and he asked if I was training for anything, I explained I was headed to my first century ride and his immediate response was, you mean a metric century? As if to say there was no way I could complete a 100 mile bike ride, must only be 62...His assumption that I was confused about the distance I had trained for and was days away from completing was based solely upon the fact that I am a woman or I dont fit into his schema of what an athlete is. It is disheartening to me that anyone should be made to feel less than when they do not fit into a mold that someone else believes they should. It was in bad taste Mr. Rivera, I hope you never make the same mistake again.

Great locally owned running store right on the Square in Etown. Owner has an impressive resume of endurance events, and is very helpful when looking at shoes/gear. The shop hosts runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6pm) for all running abilities.

Clerks were extrememly knowledgeable and didnt make me feel like a total novice. Had my foot scanned (Ive been wearing 1 size too small) and a stride analysis. I would say the down side is they dont sell any shoes less than $120.

I had a POOR experience with Running Soles in Elizabethtown. Someone recommended that I go to Running Soles, since I have trouble finding a good pair of shoes. I went in hoping to find a good pair of walking/running shoes. The sales person was helpful and I tried on every supportive shoe they had in stock. I finally settled on a pair that I thought would help my foot issues (overpronation), even though they were slightly rubbing against the side of my foot. I asked the sales person if I could take them home and wear them around the house, since my feet were a little sore that day. The sales person agreed that would be a good idea. Unfortunately, the shoes did not work out for me and I had to return them. When I went in, the owner (lady) was working and I told her I needed to return them and explained my reasoning. She informed me that in-store credits are offered only. No refunds. She informed me that it was printed on my receipt. I asked her why I wasn’t informed of their return policy BEFORE I made the purchase, especially since I had told the sales person that they may not work out for me and might need to return them. She indicated that they are a small business and cannot issue refunds. She also pointed to a place on the wall (that is not clearly visible to the customer) where their return policy is stated (most stores put their policies on the counter where the customer can see them). She eventually issued me a refund, however, CHARGED ME A RESTOCKING FEE! If you are a “small business,” as she kept telling me, you would think they would be more honest and upfront with their customers. This is just my experience, as I am sure that there are others who have had positive experiences when things went well for them. Needless to say, they lost a customer.

Cant wait for Running Soles to open. I need a place to get my running gear and I cant wait to take part in some of the Chi running coaching events.

The most comfortable shoes I ever buy

This is a GREAT running shoe shop!! I was looking for a certain brand, Lems, that was unavailable in Lexington Ky, where I live, and found Running Soles online. When i visited the store, the owner, Will Rivera, was so nice and helpful! He had the shoe I wanted at a good price and also suggested another shoe, an Altra, that i purchased also. Both shoes are just perfect for me and I am totally pleased with his service and products! I will return to E town Running Soles for my future running shoe needs. I highly recommend this shop!! Oh and if you are looking for vegan shoes, some of his selections are vegan, like the Lems and Altras that I bought. Thanks Will!!
