I worked with Jarosch to design our wedding cake as well as customized cookies for our favors, and the process was seamless! They have unique cake flavors that you wont see at other bakeries (we chose graham cracker for our cake) and they executed my vision to a tee! Our wedding was at Revolution Brewing in Chicago, and there were no issues with delivering the cake to a venue in the city (not the case with all bakeries). A very special thank-you to Tammy, who was extremely communicative and always courteously answered my emails about mundane things like cake stands and cake toppers. If you are looking for a tried and true bakery for your wedding day in the city or the suburbs, I highly recommend Jarosch!I almost forgot to mention the wedding cake sample Jarosch made us when we were deciding on cake flavors and fillings. Many bakeries in Chicago will charge you $30 to try a few bites of their cake and filling flavors. Not Jarosch! You better believe they baked us a 6-8 person sized cake free of charge for the sample. Such a great experience!

A fantastic place! We love all their items - cakes, cookies, cupcakes, coffee cakes, donuts, etc! But they really outdid themselves with my birthday cake this year. It was delicious! And so cute! We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you for making this a birthday to remember!

THANK YOU SO MUCH JAROSCH!! You have a customer for life!I called Jarosch for a custom birthday cake w/ photo and unfortunately it did not turn out like what I was expecting. I wanted the image I provided to take up the entire cake and I specified red and black frosting. The image was smaller than I hoped on the cake and there was white frosting (see attached photo).I expressed my disappointment with the cake by email; I did not ask them to remake it but I wanted them to be aware that it was not what I had in mind. Tammy w/ Jarosch then contacted me immediately about remaking the cake. I needed it just a few hours later and they were able to remake the cake in time and did an AMAZING job!! It came out absolutely perfect, exactly how I imagined, and of course it tasted wonderful too.

My family has been going here since 1972. Tasty cookies and yummy cakes! They always ask what youre looking for when it comes to decorating their cakes and they are beautiful. Saturdays are usually pretty busy.

Great awesome bakery. Never disappointed. Sometimes its difficult choosing what to buy because everything is so good. Always end up buying more than planned on. Try it out sometime, you definitely will not be disappointed. Your waist maybe, but your stomach will not be.

Let me start off by saying that the staff is lovely and kind and were very helpful. However, I was rather disappointed with the pastries. The cupcake was dry and the frosting much too sweet and slightly grainy, and the ganache on the eclair was watery and too sweet though the filling was rather good. I did not enjoy the danish, it just tasted like pure sugar. Appearance also wasnt too impressive. I will not be returning.

I could not have asked for a better bakery to work with on our wedding day. From the initial tasting (during COVID times) to the delivery of our cake on the wedding day. It was absolute perfection. I picked some cup cakes. It’s good but they need to have a better packing instead of the plastic container for this premium cupcakes when I got home the frosting got messed up.

Great bakery for everything from cookies, cakes, bread, donuts and coffee cakes! All made fresh daily and a huge assortment. Coffee cakes are a definite winner with us for having people over for coffee or after dinner desert. They continue to put goods out all day so you never get there too late in the day to pick something up. Our favorites are the apricot crescent and almond strip. They usually have at the very least 10 different coffee cakes to pick from! Easy in/out location and ample parking.

Their butter cookies are incredible. Melt in your mouth, delicious. And if you can ration them (hard to do) they stay fresh for days!

We have always ordered from Jarosch and we loved their cakes! We had a bad experience with one of their cakes this past weekend. We custom ordered a special birthday cake however it was quite dense.Since our party was on Saturday night, we couldn’t call back the next day because they are closed on Sundays. I called them today and spoke with one of the management team members and expressed my concern about the cake. After going back and forth it was relayed to me that the cake is now more dense due to previous customer feedback pertaining to it falling apart.We didn’t enjoy the cake this time around and paying $100+ dollars for a 10 inch custom cake and getting an “Oh well” kind of response from management has changed our minds about ordering from Jarosch Bakery again.After I expressed the quality and lack of freshness to the manager, we did not feel valued as paying customers.This ends our relationship with Jarosch Bakery for not making it right. I’m not looking for a full compensation however, a resolution wasn’t offered.

LOVE! Two great experiences.My mom/myself are from out of state. This was my first birthday away and wanted to order a birthday cake for me. She called to place the order- having no idea what they offered and “the girl on the phone” helped her choose a cake.My husband just had his birthday and I went in to order a cake. My husband and I had our wedding cake made by Jarosch Bakery and it was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning. They were so professional and helpful throughout the whole process. They gave us not one, but two sample cakes to make sure everything was exactly to our liking. Wow!! Awesome bakery! Everything I got tasted fresh & yummy. My favorites are: mini strawberry cheesecake (SO good!), mini chocolate whipped cream pie & mini eclair. I also liked the iced & sugar cookies. Service was fast & friendly & prices were very affordable. I’ll stop by this bakery the next time I shop at Tensuke Japanese Market next door.

Havent been here a lot but the treats are really nice! I went here today and got these little cups (not sure what they were called) but they were so good! It was a mini cup with cake, frosting, and an oreo on top with edible glitter. Ive never seen it anywhere else and its so cute. They have really good donuts as well. Its decorated nicely and the staff is cool. Only problem - really long lines. Went twice and both times the line was so long it was outside the store. 15-20 minutes. But if youre fine with the wait and looking for some really amazing treats, its reccomended.

I live in Indiana and all of our old style bakeries have closed leaving us to only have grocery store baked goods to purchase. The quality just isnt the same. I found the Jarosch Bakery when my daughter was living in Des Plaines. Wow, I was amazed by the variety and the taste immediately brought back the memories. Now, when I am within 15 miles of Elk Grove Village I seem to be drawn to Jarosch Bakery, like my car has autopilot. You have to try the butter cookies, Danish, coffee cakes, cupcakes, cookies, bread and brownies. That is exactly what I bought today while there. Be sure to go early and often. You will not be disappointed.

I would highly recommend Jarosch Bakery. I dont live in the Chicago area but ordered a cake (and cheese pie) to be delivered for my Grandmas birthday. The whole process was great. My Grandma tells me the cake was one of the best shes had, the delivery was on time (within the window), and even provided a call to confirm. I couldnt be more pleased. Thank you.

Set up for social distancing & many clerks to fill orders so line does move along. I arrived at 2:15 1 person in front of me. When I left there was a line out the door & down the sidewalk with 2 guys letting 1 person in at a time. Baked goods still delish. I left at 2:30.

I love everything at this bakery...except those packs of chocolate chip cookies. I love crispy cookies, but these taste days old, not fresh at all. Cant believe you charge $5 for them.

CHEESECAKE with fresh strawberries. I remember LINDYS in N.Y. Unfortunately they dont exist any longer. PLEASE - - - - dont ever delete these desserts from your menu.

Jarosch Bakery is the best bakery in the Chicagoland area!!!! I have been coming here for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience or less than perfect product. We went today for paczkis and they are amazing!!! They have 13 flavors and are stuffed with fruit, not that cheap flavored gel that you get everywhere else. I do advise that you order ahead of time because they were packed. Even though they were slammed, they were very organized and polite (even if some of the other customers werent). Excellent bakery overall, you will love it!!!!

Jarosch bakery has the best system of maintaining social distancing I have seen recently. They have designed 3 separate lines sectioned off so that distance is maintained both front to back as well as side to side. Great concept! Recently we placed an order over the phone paying for it with credit card so we could just go and pick it up. When i did pick up order by an odd coincidence, another order for a customer with the identical last name as mine was given to me. We did not open our order until later that day when we discovered the mistake. We tried to contact the bakery but due to heavy volume we could not get through. Late in the afternoon Jarosch called us to find out if we were still coming to get our order. After we explained the situation, they actually offered to drive our order to our home which is 1/2 hour away. We said that was not necessary but very generous of them to offer. Then they wanted to give us credit for our order. Again we said that was not necessary. We were so impressed with their kindness and generosity! They have the best baked goods as well as the best customer service. Thank you Jarosch!

Wow. The chocolate is great and has flavor. Neat place. Such good baked goods. This is a local gem a friend took me to on a Saturday morning. He raves about how awesome they are. Their baked breads, eclair, small cookies... are mouthwatering and amazing. Light, fluffy, with a perfection of taste and toasting. Heaven.I came home with two loaves of bread and now I wish I had this bakery near home.

Good price. Great staff. Always very clean. Never overcrowded. They have tons of cardio stuff but I am more impressed with the number of platforms, benches and squat racks they offer. They have amenities for everyone.

We get our Birthday cakes from Jarosch! They are delicious! Our favorite is the banana cake with fudge or chocolate WC and WC frosting with the crunch around. Its sooooo good!! I recommend it! The pastries are delicious also!

Best bakery I have ever been to in the states. As an avid pastry lover, I do not say that lightly. Both product and service are always stellar. Walk in and pick any item they sell and you will not be disappointed.Their custom cakes can be a little more on the pricey side but are worth every cent.

Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect! And so were the donuts! No treats were left! Debbie was a pleasure to work with and the tasting and payments went so smoothly! She was so helpful and gave great tips! Jarosch is a favorite in our family so it only seemed right to have them make the most important cake! Delicious!

When a bakery has lots of customers on a weekday afternoon, it must be good. Jarosch has everything: bread, cakes, cupcakes, donuts, pastries, cookies, etc. My raspberry Bismark was perfect with plenty of chunky filling (as opposed to gel). The apple fritter was excellent. I also enjoyed the angel food cake with coconut and pineapple. I will definitely go back next time Im in the area.

Products are always good especially the smiley face cookies . The reason this gets a 3 star is for the mandatory 2 dollar extra charge for the curbside pick up . I’ve been to a dozen places including Walmart grocery pick up in the last few weeks and not one place has charged extra for curbside . Your customers are supporting you why would you charge them extra to bring the bag to the car ? Doesnt seem necessary at all especially since the curb is 3 steps from the door .

It had been a long while but stopped yesterday to satisfy a sweet tooth. Prices were higher, i.e. $8+ for a small piece of pound cake. Found it to be very dry, so disappointing!

I called to order a cake, that I only had a vague description of, the woman knew exactly what I was talking about. I explained that I would be driving over two hours to pick it up, and that it was a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend. She was so helpful, explained that it could be frozen at the bakery and gave me instructions on how to thaw it properly. When he got the cake, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He got so choked up. It was perfect, the cake was heaven! I will gladly drive 2 hours one way for another tasty desert. Thank you so much for being an incredible bakery!

The products here are always good, and fresh I have been coming here for years. But their customer service, is in need of a major tune up! Found employees here to be very rude and unwelcoming. Female employees will not even greet or respond to greeting and act as if you where coming in to beg for food and not pay!

I used Jarosch Bakery for a simple wedding cake. At first I was a bit uncertain of the professionalism of the establishment because I had sent them an email tasting inquiry from their site and they had never gotten back to me. But when I called them up a few days later, they were friendly and quick to accommodate me at schedule an appointment.Once I walked it, I realized that it was a family run, small bakery and so they probably didnt have someone consistently manning the site and email responses. I had put down a $25 tasting fee before I walked into the bakery, which at first I was irked about, but not only did they tell me it would be deducted from my cake cost, should I get one from them, but I realized why they needed it; they had baked an entire cake with my requested cake flavors and frostings on each layer. Looking back on it, it seems that that would be the best way to give someone an idea of how a fresh cake would taste, but it was wonderful because I could take home the rest of the cake and have my husband, friends and family give me their input on the cake as well.I only wanted a 14 round cake, no tiers, and they were very accommodating and willing to work with me. I got a red velvet cake and I provided them with some cake toppers and lots of decor toppers (Fake leaves, fake acorns, and paper flowers) for them to arrange as they saw fit. I told them they didnt need to use all of it my any means, but make it pretty, as I trusted their eye. While the cake I received was wonderful and beautiful, I was a bit surprised that they did in fact use all of the decor I gave them. It seemed a bit busy and crowded to me; but that was a very small concern of mine.The cake itself was wonderful. Im always a huge fan of red velvet, and this bakery knows how to do it right. I highly recommend their wares, they do beautiful work!

I have been going there for at least 30 some years. Everything looks the same and their perfection with everything they make. Im a vegetarian so I no longer go as often except I do when its for other people. How we make sure to order your items early for Christmas has sometimes theres a line out the door. Thats how good it is
