I purchase many objects from auction houses all over, and usually I have to fight tooth and nail to get a fair shipping quote, and there often is attitude associated with that discussion. Not this place. I related I needed the most reasonable rate I could get to Andrew, and he was friendly throughout, efficient, accommodating, and the best pricing I have ever gotten from a UPS store. Feeling like my item was being held up for ransom, the auction house quoted me $117, and Andrew got it to me for $35. Fair prices, good service, and professional attitude will get me every time. I wish there was an “Andrew” at every shipping place in the nation. Mike, the owner, also participated in the communication.

5/23 - New customer service greeting from the caucasian male, cropped hair, clean shaven with glasses (didnt get his name): Stop! You got a mask? I get the current public obsession, and ensured I remained at least 6 feet from anyone, but really?? I was outside all day, returned in the rain, only to find my My Choice request for carrier release without a signature hadnt been honored, and had to rush back out, forgetting my PPE, before the store closed, to pick up my package that shouldve been left at my house. When I tried to explain this, he rudely dismissed me, and after demanding my ID, silently shoved my package at me. I work in the service industry, and this attitude was anything but customer oriented. Ill be actively choosing a different package delivery service whenever possible. What a bully!Update: While I wish I could say my second experience here was better, unfortunately I cant. Went to ship a return product, and the male (beard and overgrown hair) denied me, telling me that though the return shipping instructions from the manufacturer stated I could process the return without printing the label - just scan the barcode at a UPS store - he said this was untrue, and that Id have to pay $1.50 for a single page print. Hmm, the FedEx store in the same plaza charges $.13... He wouldnt even take the time to look, when I tried to show him the digital label, and instructions Id received! Im glad to know these stores are independently owned and operated, though. Ill be going out of my way tomorrow to deal with friendlier staff at a different location.

I have used this location for years for all my shipping needs. The last 2 times I have shipped a package has been terrible. Both times the ship to address is wrong. The address I shipped to today was saved in their computer as I ship to it often and today all of a sudden its not correct. What? Its been the right address for years and now its wrong? Its saved in your computer, how is it not correct? And changing it the cost went from $23 to $36 to ship. UPS Elk Grove youre a joke. After the transaction went through I waited for him to tape up the box and was told were done here, you can go. Apparently Im not allowed to make sure the box is taped up without him poking inside. I will never ship here again and will happily discourage others to not do so also.

I have used 4 different UPS Stores for my business. Dale and Mike at the Elk Grove Village location are the best! Dale goes to the post office, gets the mail, sorts it and has it in the boxes by 9:30am. They get to know you on a first name basis. The whole staff is courteous. Dale even provides homemade cookies at Christmas time. Highly recommended!

Easy Amazon return - no hassle or attitude like at some other UPS Stores I’ve been to. Top notch.

Very nice people with fast friendly service ! I will always go to them - even though they are a bit farther from where I live, but the service is worth it. The UPS store on Golf and Busse in Mt Prospect is really of no use to me.
