Called around to a couple of Sherwin-Williams stores none of them seem to know anything about paint. Exception this store was very knowledgeable and the people were very friendly. Had to drive a little further (from Palatine) but worth the ride.

I will never go anywhere else again. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable and full of personality. Firstly, I chose a color that ended up being a bit more of a cool gray than a warm one and I was able to bring back the entire gallon (as I still had probably 95 percent of the paint in it) and have them tint it to my desired color. They helped me pick that desired color against samples I had showing me how my color of tile was highlighting or neutralizing certain things in my gray paint. SO HELPFUL!IF YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL AND NEED A REP, GET JESSICA! She helped me with my challenging delima of finding the correct time/undertones to give the gray paint the appearance I wanted. This team of people are my new best friends. They dont just work there, they are artists in their own right. One of the staff members there (Kara) is an actual artists who refinishes furniture and asking her about application of paint to things other than walls (like my old wood shelf) was helpful.They are great at fixing your unique problems. Doesnt matter what it is. I moved into a new place with satin painted over high gloss in the bathroom and it was peeling. Some places where old shelves or towel bars use to be still had wall paper under them! Some places had silicon caulk around where towel bar use to be. Did I mention the ceiling was a light yellow and the walls were an off white with peach undertones and the tile was olive green?! It was a total mess. However, I followed the directions staff gave me about scuffing/sanding and painting and it came out really well! I was able to use the velvet finish as well. Its a rental so green tile stays but for about $60 all in, now I wont be embarrassed when people come over and the landlord is happy too.

We have a business account at this location and have been using them frequently to do some remodeling in our offices. With that being said, Joe has always delivered fantastic customer service and we highly recommend coming to this location. They ship for free within a certain mileage just an FYI
