We were specifically looking for a Black Owned coffee shop to check out and this was it! I was in Sacramento visiting family and had to make my way to Elk Grove to support this place. Despite not having indoor seating, they’re able to make it work with the spacious outdoor area.I had the cold brew. It was strong and delicious. Sat outside with my friend to enjoy it while she was having her own coffee and Waffle breakfast. They seem to be a popular place for breakfast as well. Nearly every table had some kind of breakfast plate from their menu.Plenty of parking in this shopping center. There seem to be quite a few vacant stores/spaces in the same area. Definitely give this place a try!
Cozy, super friendly environment with amazing food and drinks! always a place i bring friends and family that are visiting from out of town. great place to catch up with others or get work done!
Love this coffee place, the staff is really nice and make sure you have a good experience. They have board games that you can play while you wait. It’s a good place to sit down have a cup of coffee and breakfast.
Finally a non chain coffee shop in Elk Grove. Been here a couple times already and will be a regular. Nice cool and relaxed ambiance. The owner is also on site and hes a real cool down to earth guy as well. Their black coffee is perfect by itself. If you like a good coffee thats not sweet then this is the place for you.
Literally 10 out of 10 the coffee is the best Ive ever had and its a good price. Nice fresh ingredients nice food options and a good environment. It also helps the owner is super cool. Very friendly place that makes you feel like family
The food was very good and hot. The coffee was top notch. The service friendly with a smile. All Good across the board 5 stars. My new breakfast place.
I love this place! Absolutely chill....good, calm, music- nice vibe. And let me just say, the owner is so friendly and likeable. If youre not a coffee drinker like me, the tea is also on point! They also have sparkling drinks, we got the sparkling rose lemonade and it was DELICIOUS! I got the kandy black tea as well, and it was so refreshing!A gem in Elk Grove, thats for sure.
During lunch hours it gives more of a lunch vibe than cafe, so I felt a little uncomfortable studying there and left. I did pick up coffee a different day and it was fine and the drinks are great, but I wont be going here anymore cause the vibes are difficult to study in at certain hours.
Coffee was very good decorations inside had a nice touch This place is legit definitely will go back
Great coffee, great service, great ambiance, and the food ain’t to shabby either. I Highly recommend
Its been a few months since our first visit to Saavy House and they havent let us down! The owner is always so welcoming, as if we just walked into his living room and hes going to serve us coffee from his kitchen. You wont get this kind of service at any of your chain coffee shops. The beauty of a new business is also getting to see them grow and experiment with new things. Theyve already brought in kombucha, signature sodas, and even had some fun with Star Wars themed drinks for May the 4th! I had the strawberry chocolate soda, which you can still ask for on a regular day, and it was so refreshing and the perfect sweetness! I also tried an iced version of the honey white chocolate chai that theyve been experimenting with and I really enjoyed it, even more than the regular chai they have.Theyre also very active on social media so be sure to share your photos and spread the word about Saavy! Cant wait to keep coming back and trying out more drinks!
Amazing atmosphere, the best coffee Ive had in a very very long time (maybe ever?), and even better customer service. The owner, Jamar, was a delight from the start to the end of our visit. I was one of those annoying customers who doesnt know what they want and need their hand held. Jamar was patient, funny, and beyond helpful. The care he puts into his business is evident every step of the way. From the ordering process (which he helped immensely with) to the time and love he put into making our drinks, it was an amazing experience. Not something I ever say about a trip to a coffee shop.I will absolutely be coming back whenever I am in the area and will pick this over other coffee places (especially Starbucks and peets) every time.On top of all of that, they have vegan pastry options (when they arent sold out!) and a plethora of milk alternatives (I reccomend the oat milk if you arent sure which one to try).
Ownership, service top notch great brew made with love
I love the atmosphere and customer service. The coffee tastes really good and the waffles are peace of art.
Comfy, cozy and wonderful service. On first entry the Savvy Coffee Bar is spacious and welcoming and the coffee is delicious! Each place to sit is very cozy and some of the large tables have little shelves and books to read. An all gender bathroom is available and if youre hungry I recommend the waffles (below!)
Coffee house with the dopest vibe! Its a must when Im in Sacramento to grab a Savvy House lavender lemonade. Its so so good and the best Ive had.
Amazing drinks, amazing service. Black owned! We love Savvy!
Tasty fresh ingredients. Staff was kind and pleasant. I shall return. Thanks.
I really want to like this place as its the only small business coffee shop in Elk Grove. Cozy space. Nice lo-fi aural ambiance. However the basic coffee experience is subpar. No dedicated cozy milk and sugar station. No stirring sticks. Aaaanndddd it crosses the $4 threshold for a 20oz drip coffee at $4.30 before tax. I am always willing to spend more to support local businesses. Not sure I am willing to pay 75% more for a 20oz compared to $bux ($4.30 vs $2.65.)
Best coffee in the world ! Great staff, very friendly and attentive. Nothing but good vibes all around !
Very clean and super chill atmosphere. The customer service is awesome and the waffles are to die for
There is NOT enough room here to say how great and awesome this place is !!!!!! I don’t personally know the owner, I’ve been a hand full of times. I’ve moved now and I’m a little further and I don’t even drink coffee. My roommate drinks coffee and LOVES it! I love the white hot chocolate with almond milk. Staff is super friendly and it’s really worth going outta your way getting out of the car and going in!!!! Love the decor too!!!!!! Please check it out you will NOT be disappointed!!!!!!!!
Probably the best coffee in Elk Grove, great service, and friendly staff and owner. Gotta try the waffles! Happy to see a great business survive these times!
Keep driving past burnt french toast Starbucks and go here instead! Great tasting coffee
In the area every so often and this is a cool spot, but I didnt go in today as I could see nearly every table full and not a single person wearing a mask. This is a public health risk.
Absolutely fantastic Chocolate-Chai waffles...not overly sweet! Americano was strong, but not bitter. Great place!
Yesterday was my first time trying Savvy House Coffee. My daughter wanted a pink donut and unfortunately they have no donuts. They carry small assorted selection of pastries. My daughter wasnt interested in any other pastries which was a bummer. The owner is sweet and welcoming.I ordered white chocolate mocha with ice and no whip cream. The coffee was delicious. The best part about the coffee at this location is they use the fish and chocolate beans (my favorite beans). The owner was super sweet and he engaged on small topics about the decorations inside the house shop. In my opinion, that was better than any other coffee shops in Elk Grove. It was nice, has welcoming setting with lots of elephants and Buddha. Im all into elephants and Buddha so this was peaceful. Unfortunately, the shop was empty perhaps thats why it was peaceful and no noise. The owner assumes everyone went to State Fair otherwise the shop is always busy.Hoping the Buddha and elephants brings lots of luck to their business. I will be taking my husband to try out their coffees.
I came here on a study date with a friend and its a pretty nice place for that purpose. The overhead music is super chill and creates a nice mood. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a soda. The sandwich was fine but very plain. The soda had lots of yummy syrup but the soda water was a bit flat. The coffee smells good and I LOVE that drinks and food get served in real cups and dishes.
I come here often to study and the customer service and the drinks are ALWAYS great. The decor is very modern and hip and it’s a great place to Study. I really enjoy their vanilla lattes but if you want an alternative to coffee make sure to try their Lavender Lemonade! The owner Jamar is super friendly and treats everyone like family. Savvy is my go to spot now!
My friend and I (we are both baristas) came in to get a cup of something refreshing for the first time back in March. We were greeted kindly but my friend and I weren’t sure yet what to order. A humble man who was standing next to us (not ordering) told us about different blends of cold brew and even offered us samples of their on-tap kombucha. We kindly accepted and it was delicious! The man next to us ended up being the owner of Savvy and my friends and I are very happy coming to this place. If you’re looking for a neat and new place to work I would recommend this place :)
I was out there this morning and had a blast meeting new people and having an amazing awesome breakfast!:)Please,Please,Please,if you are in the area, stop in, have some breakfast and help support this awesome business located on Bruceville Rd and Elk Grove Blvd. The staff are extremely friendly, the atmosphere is soothing and laid back, and the prices are really affordable!!!:)I personally cant wait to go back there again really soon!!!:)
This is a great hidden gem in Elk Grove. The atmosphere is friendly and calm. The owner can be spotted speaking to customers and even pause for the occasional selfie if its not to busy. The flavor and items provided dont lose out to your other mass chains of coffee. The best part is you leave refreshed and ready for your day. Stop in and check it out for yourself.
Friendly service, had recommendations ready and beverage was delicious.
I love this joint. The best coffee place in Elk Grove most definitely. They use Chocolate Fish beans which is a good thing in my opinion. But what makes Savvy House great is the hospitality and friendliness of the owner and staff. Its obvious that care is put into everything they do.
One of the dopest coffee experiences youll get! Super convenient after a solid Costco session or a place to sit down after viewing a bunch of cars at the dealerships down the street.
I want to give birth to my first born child on their seating and then walk out like nothing happened. Who needs a midwife with this grade seating?
Delicious drinks and great atmosphere. I get a ton of studying done here! The calm atmosphere helps a lot with any stress from studies. The business staff is very nice and thoughtful of each customer. My favorite coffee place in Elk Grove.
Very cozy and relaxing environment. A perfect place to do some homework or go on a first date. Coffee is very good as is the food they make in house.
Finally! A great non-chain coffee shop that fits my need for a relaxed, chill vibe in Elk Grove! Savvy House Coffee Bar is my place now. Whether meeting up with some friends or sitting alone getting some work done, I love the smooth jazzy music playing. Not too loud for convo or concentration. Delicious coffee. Love that Jamar always takes time for a little conversation, too!
Very good service. Clean and excellent soy chai iced latte.
Really pleasant space and comfortable seating.
Great vibes here. I love the taste of my go-to white mocha. Would make it 5 stars if they start offering their sit-in drinks in reusable glass/mugs.
One great cup of coffee and a well-curated atmosphere. Will definitely come back again, though I wont have any more complimentary mint/raspberry water it was not paired well to go with coffee and tasted like soap or toothpaste. That is my only complaint, however, because this place is very nice for both students and anyone who wants somewhere hip to chat with friends
Comfortable setting, socially distanced. Good service!
Its unique and cool vibes. They have fresh items and top shelf beans .
Great atmosphere. Cute and comfortable, roomy and nice relaxing music. Been looking for a place like this after moving to the area. Coffee was good, too! They had plenty of milk alternatives (coconut, almond, hemp, and soy as of 6/8). Vegan banana bread was on point and was a decent serving for the price! (a whole mini loaf). This will definitely be my new go-to place.
Coffee was awesome and so were the waffles 😋😋
If you like a chill, relaxing, and community-based space, this coffee bar is for you! The owner and staff know you by name, and create an atmosphere that is communal in addition to being ideal for working/studying. Coffee and espresso is great and drinks are made with care.
I have visited this place several times, and the drinks and yummies are consistently awesome! Best service in a coffee house Ive experienced. Im glad I live close, so I can stop in anytime to grab something yummy or to meet friends and chill a while while we enjoy the cool relaxing vibe and something to drink and nosh on. Jamaar, the owner makes you feel so appreciated and welcomed. Go get your coffee drink and snack on. -Michele Mc.⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
This is one of the best coffee places Ive ever been to! The staff is so nice, very according l accommodating, creative with drinks and very personable. I HIGHLY recommend this coffee shop!!
I just discovered this lovely place and it is wonderful! Quiet, good coffee, yummy treats, friendly staff and a beautifully decorated and comfortable atmosphere. You should definitely check it out!Jamar and Teeyan will make you feel right at home. 🙂
No other place to go for your cup of jo. Relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable workspace. They even have books to pick up and read!
OMG....best coffee ever and fast friendly service. Highly recommend.
Nice clean place. Comfortable setting and ambiance. Looks like a good place to study or read. Im only a black coffee drinker and they brew from a local roaster, which was good. Wish they opened earlier though.
Very nice atmosphere and decor. Although I was disappointed because I had to wait more than 20 minutes to get my order. Price was not reasonable for two small coffess and two bagels with cream cheese.employees were not vey friendly.i dont think I will go back again.
The nutcracker is sooooo good.
Nice cute place. I am trying to support local businesses, therefore I did not mind paying an extra $1.50 for the same size as other places. I ordered an iced coffee and it was so weak I almost took it back. It looked like ice tea. I guess if you like your iced coffee weak this would be the place to get it.
Had a bagel and iced latte. The gentlemen behind the bar were knowledgable, friendly, and warm. What stood out was how comfortable the space was- I will definitely be back
Came here yesterday and even though every table had at least 1 person sitting there, it was extremely quiet. Coffee was solid. Very polite customer service as well. Prices are higher, but I will come back again.
New local business which is great. Woman taking orders seemed to have no clue what she was doing (very very very slow, couldnt answer basic questions). Menu was on a frame by the register and not posted, which made ordering a challenge. It should be listed that all drinks only come with a SINGLE shot of espresso. Sorry, but if my latte is going to cost $5.55, I feel like I should get at least two shots. No food being sold on the Monday morning we went in, so if you are looking for breakfast you are outta luck. We should have just left when we saw the menu, but wanted to support a local small business. Esspresso and coffee both had good flavor, but overall I was not impressed. Taking my money back to Rescate where the drinks are well done and strong, and they actually sell food.
Always a pleasure talking with the owner and his family taking in a good cup of coffee. My daughter loves his frappuccinos.
First time here with my girlfriend. What a relaxing ambiance. She even loves their paper cups! Cool design. We ran into Jamar who works there. Wow, what awesome customer service. Hes super friendly and genuinely interested in getting to know the customers. Not to mention, the blue berry muffins and white mochas are absolutely dee-lish! I definitely recommend Savvy House Coffee Bar in Elk Grove.
Great place to relax, study or just people watch. I love the iced green tea.
White Mocha made with soy milk was delicious!
Free WiFi, great environment and decor, friendly service, top coffee, highly recommend.
Great location, customer service, and coffee. I wish the best to the manager!
Fantastic...chai tea latte and mango apple tea are amazing. Great relaxed atmosphere and a very involved owner. Great place to chill in Laguna...
Cute coffee shop....adorable decor. Nice to see a coffee spot in that shopping center again.
Very enjoyable!
Savvy House Coffee in Elk Grove serves amazing hot chocolate, a excellent caramel macchiato and more. The service is second to none, and I will be a loyal and constant customer.
Love this place. Great coffee and amazing customer service.
Over $7 for a dirty chai and their default option is cheap, not recyclable disposable cups... total rip-off.
Great location, drinks, & music. Love the Kombucha.
A place where the owner speaks to everyone, the environment is zen and they are about the community.
Great hangout and great coffee!! Super clean and classy.
Great cupcakes!
Amazing place for coffee
It was gross I got so sick after I ate it
Fantastic coffee, beautiful store and sitting area, and incredibly friendly owner!
Dont usually post reviews but Savy House is the perfect addition to Elk Grove. Relaxing, productive atmosphere and both the owners and employees are incredibly nice and helpful.
Quiet, relaxing atmosphere with tasty coffee!
Great atmosphere and good coffee!
Great staff, friendly and professional.
No phone number cant get ahold of them.
Such a cozy, trendy cafe
Really impressed.
