Sly drivelines, I have lived in Elko 30 years never did business with the previous owners. The new owners are awesome . Brought my front driveline for my 2011 Ram in for the cv joint. I thought there was too much slop in the joint. After exam the owner told me they didn’t need replaced. I had him do it anyway . The complete rebuild of the drive line was completed on time and for LESS $ than was quoted! Under 200$Refreshing to get quality work and NOT ripped off by an Elko business. You earned my business . March 11, 2021......My bride and I are headed for UT and took the Walmart Elko off ramp coming from Sparks NV. At the off ramp stop light I lost my rear drive line U joint connected drive axle. There I am in the middle of the off ramp at the stop light and cant move. Im driving a 27 ft Class C motor home. Some one stops & tells me to call Sly Drivelines. I call Sly Drivelines, the owner Eric answers the phone. After talking about my broken drive line and what might need to be done to fix it Eric says he will be at the off ramp in about 15 mins. True to his word he is there in 15 and crawling under my motor home. Mind you its mid morning about 38 degrees out, wind and some light snow. He removes the drive line, takes it to his shop and returns in about 30 mins to off ramp. Crawls back under the motor home and for the next 20 mins or so gets the drive line installed. We follow him back to his shop were crawls back under the RV to inspect the rest of the system and makes sure every thing is buttoned up tight and greased.It wasnt Batman or Spider Man or the Lone Ranger or Superman that came to our rescue. It was Eric from Sly Drivelines who came and saved me and my bride that morning and to us he gets to stand side by side with those other Super Heroes.....

Lost a u joint and carrier bearing first thing in the morning. Made it to Sly Driveline and they got on it right away. Replaced flange yoke, u joint, carrier bearing and balanced, painted and installed driveline in less than two hours.Excellent service

In July 2019 Sly Drivelines had a major change in Management. Jess Long and Jay Long are no longer employed. The new management is excellent and turnaround time has improved significantly. They have the parts, equipment and expertise to meet almost any driveline related need. Working hours are expanded and they now offer Aluminum driveline repair/manufacture. In business over 21 successful years.

As far as im concerned, if you have a drive-line need or have a hard to find u joint or just need need good quality parts and repairs on a drive-line, this is the place to go!

Spoke on the phone with a Jay I think, I wanted to have new U Joints put on my Ford and he quoted me an entirely new Driveline Telling me I should probably replace the whole thing. 1 Star for clearly trying to rip me off.

Theyve built 2 drivelines for me in 1 days time, and the last time i needed a carrier bearing pressed on (at closing time) they busted it out in 15 min and when i asked what the damage was said merry Christmas and sent me on my way. Couldnt recommend them enough

Quoted my driveline would be done Monday, or at least contacted with information on the project. I decided to drop in and ask about the progress, only to have Jay try and upsell a new one. I polity refused a different one, only to get my driveline shoved back at me and told to go do my business elsewhere! I tried to calm him down, but he seemed determined to cuss me out and get me out the door.I now understand why many people I know refuse to do business with Sly. I am disappointed for loss of time and the rude behavior and shady business practices I experienced. I guess this is how you get treated trying to do business with only driveline shop in town.
