Cute diner, nice atmosphere, and quick service! We stopped here after hiking the enchantments! Got a root beer float (A+), some fried mozzarella sticks (A+) and two sandwiches I already forgot the name of (both of which were tasty)! Make sure you get the fry sauce 😍 loved this place!

I was in town for a book signing and it was a beautiful morning and also my daughters, who was with me birthday. She saw the retro building and asked if we could take in breakfast there. Very clean resturaunt with a very friendly staff and great food. I ate breakfast she had a burger. Great job! This from the author of The Reckoning of Rance. I try to get it as often as possible, if I’m ever passing through. It’s definitely worth the stop. If I lived nearby I’d go more often just for their fun outdoor patio. Food was good, and service was great. Wait was long, but we were warned.

Bloody Mary was delicious! The burger we ordered and fries were awesome. I loved the old school decor inside and outside. It took quite a while to get our food, but it was worth it, and I enjoyed myself. I love that there was such a big outdoor area too.

While traveling from Seattle to the tri-cities we stopped at the halfway point to take a break so we decided to get a bite to eat. We decided to visit the Red Horse and I can say we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was top notch and the service by our waitress Samantha was outstanding. After getting us our food she made sure everything was going well without hovering and making us feel like we were being bugged. The burger and steak fries were outstanding and my fiancée absolutely loved her BLT and onion rings. We will be back the next time we are out that way.

Ive got to say Ive been allot of places. Not only was the service phenomenal but the food was beyond expectations..I would definitely recommend AND will be going back. check out how cool this place is. A lot of old days memorabilia. Definitely brings the nostalgia.

Went in to check out the old gas station memorabilia and see if what I heard about the food was accurate. The memorabilia was interesting some of which I had and the food was quite good. Service was excellent and the price was reasonable.

This was our second time here. First was lunch second was breakfast... both were great, lunch was best!!! Was spendy, especially feeding 4kids! But good portions!The atmosphere is so cool and LOVE the outside seating, scooters for the kids to ride and the gorgeous weeping willow!!Our waitress was awesome!!!! Very friendly and helpful!! I didnt catch her name but she was blonde with glasses, give her a raise ;)

Nice little out of the way burger joint. I was very happy with the meal, and their rectangular burgers on a hoagie are ingenious! Tots and fries were both good. The atmosphere inside is very inviting, and pretty cool with how its decorated. I highly recommend checking them out!

Ordered their cheeseburger with steak fries and a vanilla milkshake. Hands down the best burger I’ve had in a very long time. This restaurant puts Red Robin to shame! Wonderful staff, clean and cozy environment. Will definitely be back again!

Visited on 6/28/21 - Fantastic Waitress (CWU grad/Special Ed) and we all loved our meals! Excellent service, amazing meals and vast menu, plus the old memorabilia all around us! Definitely recommend highly!

This place is a must for us anymore whenever we pass through Ellensburg. Great food, fast service, and friendly staff. We typically call about 15 minutes down the road, swing in, and have our food waiting for us when we get there. We’ve also dined in and the staff was very kind to our 2 year old, got us seated right away, and brought our food very quickly (which is pretty important when you have a hungry 2 year old).

I really loved Red Horse Diner. The people there were absolutely wonderful and very friendly. The food was absolutely spectacular. Very well done and service and execution of delivery of the food was very quick and efficient. They have a nice little selection of spirits and soft beverages. Their meal choices for being such a small and cute diner are phenomenal. I had a great time here with my father who has been here over 5 times now. Im definitely going to recommend this wonderful establishment to others if they are headed this way.I am definitely giving this wonderful place a give star review. Loved the place. Waitresses were great, particularly Bailie. She was friendly, and helpful. An elderly lady behind us needed help finding a place, and she drew the lady a map, and wrote detailed directions. The decor was fun, it was interesting to see some of the coin machines on the wall actually worked still. I got their chicken sandwich. Not too much mayo, the chicken was crispy outside, tender inside, only thing Id change is adding cheese, but thats just my preference. Definitely going to make another trip there some day.

Its a decent diner. 50s and 60s Gas station themed. The food is good basic diner food.

First the good: friendly wait staff, cool decor.The bad: we waited over 15 minutes after being seated to receive our menus and order drinks. I checked. It was then another 50min to receive our food. My friends scrambled eggs were undercooked, the cornbeef hash was as dry as woodchips, the bacon was overcooked, and the chickenfried steak batter was soggy. oh and the menu prices are not what they actually charge.Hear they have decent burgers, but Im not going back to find out.

Breakfast was so good we had to come back a second day. Easy parking and the decorations are cool. Excellent service to go with the great food. Next time Im in Ellensburg at breakfast time, Ill be back.

The four of us went here on a Sunday for lunch. Easy parking. Quick seating. Tables and booths available. Clean bathrooms. Quick service. We all enjoyed parts of our meals and found parts to be lacking. Overload of diner and old/nostalgic decorations which were fun to see. Neat place to visit.

Not your typical fast food joint. The atmosphere is very retro with all the old gas station signs from the oil companies, etc. A throwback to the 50s and 60s. The food is also typical of that era. Generous portions made fresh to order.

Our wait was 35 minutes for food but there was only 2 girls working, food was good

Love this place! Burgers are always great, they have something for everyone on their menu. Not a huge deal to some people, but their ranch is THE BEST! Every restaurant in America should only serve it this way. Also- delicious sweet potato fries- nice and crispy, no sog whatsoever. Thanks Red Horse!

The diner itself was decorated really good, fun to look at all the old signs. Service was terrible we waited a long time before we were even asked about what we wanted to drink . Our friends ordered cocktails and never got them . It was an hour and 45 min. Before we got our food. Then we went to pay and she had charged us for the drinks that we never got. Luckily the food was good .I think that the owner would be disappointed to know that the staff working that day did a terrible job. It will hurt there business if they dont get better staff. It wasnt busy so it didnt make sense why it took so long . And the waitress didnt apologize or give an explanation. She was unfriendly and rude. Id like to try again some day in hopes that it would be a better experience!

I was very disappointed that wait staff did not have on masks. In this day and age I was surprised and saddened. I wont be returning. We are vaccinated but they didnt know that and I dont know if they are.Covid is real and it kills. The business owner and the service industry people need to be more aware of their position and their customers.

Got delivery. Taco salad meat was cold and no seasoning. 3/4ths of it was lettuce and tomato. Hardly any cheese. No sour cream or salsa. Couldnt eat it ended up throwing it out. Sampler was good everything was good in it. Never ordering from here again waste of $40.

Awesome decor, great service, and fantastic food.

I have been twice and each time it takes forever to get service. The food isnt too bad, it has good flavor but it should not take an hour two get two burgers and a wrap, the patties are pre-made from what I can tell, so the fact it takes forever to get is weird. The servers are friendly but they do not check back in with you. The last time we had to hunt down our server for our check. We went back there a second time to see if the first time was a fluke but it was the same.

I wanted to like this place so bad but after my experience i dont think i’ll be back especially because there are better restaurants in ellensburg, where workers wear masks and arent disrespectful. one of the servers was talking loudly behind the booth i was sitting at to another customer (also not wearing a mask) and she talked about how people who wear masks are unintelligent “sheep” and the pandemic is essentially a hoax. she says this as i am wearing a mask…?? extremely disrespectful, i mind you i visited during peak pandemic!!!

Food is decent (a lil better than average), alcoholic drinks are just ok (very light pours) but the outdoor patio ambience makes up for the areas the restaurant/ bar lacks.

There service was excellent and food was bomb and we had out little dog too.

Breakfast is great, the omelets and the corned beef hash are always great. The burgers are amazing as well. the interior also looks incredible with all the old advertisements

My favorite place during the Covid shut down. Great food, and drinks, good company with locals and great service! Not to mention Kaia is the best server around town!!! Go see her! Enjoy a beer or cocktail on the patio or under a shade tree on the lawn.

We really enjoyed lunch at this funky diner. My husband had a chicken wrap with fantastic fries, which he had a hard time leaving. My mother and I shared the 57 BLT which we had asked for avocado to be added. The kitchen split our order, which was great, however no avocado. We both took a bite and decided it was so good that the avocado wasnt needed. It was very tasty and my Mother finished all of her sweet potatoe fries (me too). Glad we chose Red Horse Diner for lunch.

Grrat food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service! Not 5 stars because breakfast has a hard cutoff of 11 (sometimes earlier but never past 11). Its a great greasy-spoon. The CFS was wonderful with real mashed potatoes (unlike The Porch down the road).

Very colorful creative restaurant. Loaded with old signs for Mobiloil and other auto and nostalgic advertising . Great spot for familys to dine. Ice cream shakes and Americana fare is main feature. Huge menu to page thru. Not fast food . I ordered the bacon burger with sweet potatoes fries. It finally arrived looking good . The burger was way over cooked . Waitress was less than attentive.I battled thru it instead of sending back. Wasnt worth it.

Best Milkshake Ever!Passing through town on a work trip and stopped in. Great decor, clean, and the service was excellent. The Red Horse burger was good, and I wanted either a milkshake or a sundae to satisfy my sweet tooth after my meal. The server told me the milkshake was the right choice, so I took her word and ordered one. OMG! I was in no way prepared for the awesomeness of that shake. Ive had chocolate milkshakes at countless places all over the U.S., but this was THE BEST chocolate milkshake Ive ever had in my 50 years on this earth. Game, set, and match. Well done, Red Horse Diner. Well done. Ill be back.

Interesting. Wonky set up but very inviting. My mates had some nostalgia moments. Im from Ireland so I couldnt quite relate. Probably plan on bringing my mates step-dad for his birthday. Staff was really nice. The place was clean. The fish and chips was fine. As you might guess, Im a bit spoiled from my hometown chippy but this was as good as one could get this far from the sea.
