Great store to shop. never dirty always clean. Has most everything one is looking for . Whether it be snacks, homemade dinners or fast microwave dinners fresh vegetables to canned product Safeway has always been a great store....

It was cool to see the state plastic bag ban notice in Central Washington (Ellensburg). I live in Western WA and havent seen them ban notice here. The store was very clean. The cashier at the self-serve lines was very courteous and helpful. I felt bad for the store I saw an alleged shoplifting and couldnt stop it. They may want to move their alcohol aisles.

The food variety is often better than Fred Meyer. The store is clean & produce fresh.

Eveyone that works here are so nice. Its a store I love to bring my daughter to.

Never been a great fan of this store. I went in to buy feminine hygiene products and they were out of every brand for any box or package up to an economy (very large) sized box. It cost me ten dollars more than I could afford to spend and many more minutes than I had to spare. I could not find a cashier (at all) so I used the self checkout .....

Always clean. People always friendly. Produce section could use work in the freshness department. My produce tends to go bad in a few days so I only ever buy what I need.

Very helpful employees and super friendly.Major flood from the mens bathroom and they dont carry cases of shelf sustaining flavored Horizon milk.

Safeway is a chain of grocery stores that are also the same company as Albertsons and a few other smaller chains. All stores have your basic needs, including vegetables from local areas, dairy, meat, freezer items and more. Deli and hot food counters can vary by location as well as deals. This location has a good sized parking lot and is usually very busy as Ellensburg is kind of one of the last places down the highway to really stop for a while. Inside the store is nice, carts generally available, good prices and tons of deals through the Safeway app (which I highly recommend you download if you shop here). Staff was nice but they usually are understaffed and ringing people up takes a while almost everytime. All in all, a good grocery store to shop at if you need things.

Great store. Nicely stocked, clean, and not crowded. They have a decent selection for vegetarians as well as organic food. There is also a Starbucks inside. It looks like they just got brand new shopping carts.

It is a Safeway in a college town. Not that great of a selection of items, in fact, we walked out because they didnt have what we were looking for. Place was clean and easy to find.

I cant believe you are still providing plastic bags that were banned because NO ONE REUSES THEM OR RECUCLES THEM.

Very good prices and excellent customer service

This Safeway is a little smaller than your average Safeway, but their selection is pretty good. Their fruit is always in season, and they have an assortment of organic and regular fruit.Their wine selection is small, but they carry some local blends from around Ellensburg and Yakima. Their self-checkout is quick and they have a Starbucks, deli and meat/seafood selection.

I bought a salad kit from the deli department and no Expression Date on the package but one of the items the Croutons post mark for march 2021 9 months past it shelf life paid attention very sad

Got food from the deli. Potstickers were hard and crunchy, hair in my shrimp and the chow mein was disgusting. Food is always messed up!

Safeways are always clean, well-stocked, but personally speaking seriously overpriced. They have better Donuts Here at Safeway then Fred Meyer, but in Ellensburg I almost always go to Super One Foods as their donuts just taste better. However Super One Foods had a broken fryer for their donuts and I didnt feel like eating bread with frosting.

Great store, friendly staff

Right in the middle of town, the Safeway here is always well stocked and well staffed. Never seen any problems with cleanliness, and during this outbreak it seems like everyone is keeping up well. All around friendly staff, and great location!

Well I have to say, this store is well organized, clean and very pleasant to shop at. Must have a good manager, I live in Cle Elum and I personally do not like our Safeway, I go out of my way to shop at the Ellenburg store, for that very reason. I have to praise your manager at the Ellensburg store, hes got a great store.

Only place I will shop in Eburg. Love the club discounts. And better yet, during these hard times they keep everything sanitized! Including all size carts and baskets! Awesome. The workers here are also great!

They have the best immitation crab meat (the version they produce from their own butcher shop) Ive ever experienced.

A wide variety of foods, good vegetable section

Lovely experience considering we are in a pandemic. Extremely helpful people who work there. Think I was checked out by Cindi, or a name close to that. Appreciated that there are distancing signs on the floor and everyone was wearing a mask, including customers. I wont shop anywhere that doesnt enforce masks. They also took my check - some businesses are not doing that and I cant always use a card, such as today. 5 stars!

Ive always enjoyed this Safeway. I stop at it every time I take a road trip and they always have the food and snacks Im looking for.

We got our flu shots there and it was the best experience weve ever had, especially for the kids. They also gave us candy and 10% off coupons for future shopping trips. Well be going there for flu shots from now on!

Store was clean. The checkers were great. The person bagging the groceries was just very helpful.

Best bagels ever at this Safeway. Theyre real bagels. Five stars for bagels not so many for the price of food items at this store.

Update: I called the Safeway manager & Dawn & Devar helped me to get my ham sliced perfectly, and they gave me a pound for free too. They are exceptional & I really appreciate the help they gave me resolving this & of course the ham! Yum =) one stars turned to five stars!Disappointed today when I went to the deli at Safeway. I’ve been shopping at Safeway for the last 16 years, and for the first time ever, I was told that I could not get my lunch meat sliced between thin & shaved. They said this was because all of the deli slicers were broken? There are 3 or 4 of them & they are all broken at once? Really? And they said management has no intention of replacing them with ones that work? I’m not sure this was even true because how can all the deli slicers be broken at once. Seemed a like a made up excuse. I count on the Safeway deli to buy the lunch meat for my family, the way they like it sliced. They won’t eat it sliced thick, so now we can not buy lunch meat at the Safeway deli or I would be paying for lunch meat my family wouldn’t eat. I’m really upset & disappointed to be treated this way.

2 reasons I shop here: the higher quality makes up for the slightly higher prices on their produce, and they tend to have the best sale prices soft drinks.

Always friendly, small, the easiest place to grab the things of daily living one needs in a hurry. Sometimes I just dont want to have to walk a half a block across a big box store to grab some fruits and vegetables!! Checkers are always friendly too.

My original review of this grocery store was one star, and that based on my experiences years ago so I thought I’d post an update. Things have improved a lot! Even during these trying times this store is well stocked and organized. They even have dedicated manpower put towards cleaning the carts after they’re returned. It’s 2/3 smaller than FM but they have a great selection.

They have some of the best fruit and vegetables in town. The meat department has the freshest meat in town. The open case deli salads dont always look the best. But the prepackaged salad, meat, and cheese are good from the deli. They have very good Chinese take-out. The customer service is really good! Just plan on waiting in line to your timetable. The store is clean. On average they have the best prices for a traditional grocery store. Just be sure to check your reciept.

I dont like that they immediately shove my items in plastic bags, i use the self checkout every time I can to avoid having to tell people I dont want bags. Big stores like this have taught people to be more wasteful and lazy.

I have been very loyal to this grocery store for almost 20 years, but lately the customer service is lacking. Carmen is great and the manager is a nice guy, but several employees are just rude. Also, I almost feel penalized for purchasing a cart full of groceries as there is only one lane open to serve this kind of shopping and I have to wait behind many other big shoppers. The checkout system is the worst! The cashiers need to learn to say thank you! It would go a long way.

I just love to go to Safeway especially these days because not only to we get told exactly what to do and how to do it from MSNBC, NBC, CBS, fox, CNN, 24hr 7 days a week but when l finally get to leave home for a bit of serenity that small bit gets destroyed by loud speakers down every isle telling me to obey and comply.WWG 1 WGA
